Description from owner
The Limestone cabin is the perfect mountain getaway! The Limestone cabin is great for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays and more! It is located approximately 5 minutes from Hot Springs, NC. The cabin itself is over a hundred years old! We carefully dismantled it piece by piece and relocated it to the banks of the French Broad river. The cabin comes with a fully equipped kitchen, gas and charcoal grill, so there is no need to eat out! It also features a private hot tub on the back porch with privacy blinds. The cabin sleeps a maximum of four people. A queen size bed located upstairs and sofa bed downstairs. While your stay at the Limestone cabin you can enjoy countless activities nearby and on-site! Things to do include: on-site fishing, biking, hiking, exploring the land surrounding the cabin, white water rafting, horseback riding and of course the famous Hot Springs Spas. Also, if you feel the need to do some light traveling during your stay you can venture to Asheville, NC-home to the Biltmore House and many, many more attractions.

“Cabin in the Woods”
We stayed NewYears Eve and the following night and were delighted with the warmth and hospitality of the cabin and the owners! They had decorated a tree as well as the stairway bannister. The cabin is a cozy and comfortable get away with a great outdoor hot tub and a gas log fireplace. Comfortable modern kitchen and bathroom, including washer and dryer, in this cabin that looks like it is made of logs. Everything was tidy and clean and it is in a remote location which no GPS will find, so no one will be stumbling by to interrupt your stay.
Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope you can come again. Regards Harold
The cabin is beautiful! We had a great time! The only fault I found was not having a TV in the bedroom.
Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed it. Hope you can visit again. Regards Harold

The cabin was tricky to find but once we pulled up and walked in we were so impressed!! Such an amazing week we had for our honeymoon, we are still raving about it to all of our friends and family!! Plan on returning soon!!!
Owner's reply: Hi Heather & Matt We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay at Limestone. We look forward to your return. Sincerely Harold
We really enjoyed our stay at the Limestone Cabin. Its remote setting was perfect- far away from anyone else, but still relatively close to Hot Springs and even accessible by foot via the train tracks. Cabin amenities include hot tub, TV with lots of stations, fireplace and a well stocked kitchen. No wifi. Mr. Finley is great to work with and the cabin is very reasonably priced for what you get. Hot Springs is a lovely vacation town and a perfect place to get away for a weekend.
Owner's reply: Thank you for the review! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Limestone cabin. We hope you come back to visit us soon! Happy Holidays! Harold and Sadie
“The Limestone Cabin”
This is a beautiful log cabin with all the comforts of home. The house was clean and had everything we needed. When we arrived I was concerned about how close this is to the railroad tracks that run in front of the cabin, but it turned out to not be an issue unless your hanging out on the front porch. The hot tub on the back porch was fantastic. The setting feels secluded but is only a few minutes from the town of Hot Springs and is perfect for any couple seeking some alone time.
A very nice remote experience with the mountain railroad at the front door...don't see (and hear) trains like that anymore and it added much to the experience. Due to the access condition this is NOT a good motorcycle destination except for Adventure bikes. View of the mountains and French Broad River are very nice. If you want to kick back and don't need a lot of extras or asphalt drive this could be the place.
The Limestone Cabin was precious! I kinda began to wonder as we traveled the path to get to it, but I was not disappointed. The cabin is so cute. The look and feel of a cozy "ole" place but with everything you need. Mr. Finley has thought of everything! We had one small issue, called him, and he assisted us right away. The issue, by the way, was "user error." :-) The nostalgia of the cabin and the train passing by was great. We were concerned about the train but it adds to the experience. I would recommend it to anyone and hopefully will get to go back again sometime!
