The View was Great- the rest was oversold

March 1, 2016

This is a great house for college kids. We were two families and had five children ages 11-15. We were a total of 9. There were only 7 plates- to give you an idea of the kitchen set up. Limited pots and pans so cooking is tough and no storage containers. The walls were paper thin. Be prepared to hear everything!!!! Including bathrooms. The two bedrooms upstairs had no dressers, so be prepared to live out of the suitcase- and pray no one snores as you will never sleep. Be prepared to climb over your suitcase as there is limited room around the beds. The third bedroom was a very open loft with so much noise between the paper thin bedroom walls and the rest of the house that no one could sleep there. If it had been summer it would have been better because we would have had the outside, but for the winter, this was not a comfortable set up for 9.

Owner's reply:

Hi Elana,

I am sorry that your time up at Hunter was not ideal, but a lot of the things you are complaining about don't make any sense? All but one of my bedrooms have at least two dressers as can be plainly seen in the photos of the rooms. There are two kitchens and each are stocked with plates, I counted 10 in the upstairs alone? 5 teenagers can make a lot of noise. Perhaps it would have been better if you took all 4 bedrooms instead of 3 and put the kids downstairs so you couldn't hear them.

Gary, It was a pleasure renting your house with my family. It would have been even better if there was snow on the mountain, but despite the lack of snow and skiing we all had a wonderful time. You house is very conducive to keeping large groups together and it surrounded all of us with a very warm wonderful atmosphere. Sitting by your beautiful fireplace and looking out over the mountain range was spectacular. Although we were all a little disappointed about the lack of skiing we were all sorry to leave and look forward to spending more time in the future! Thank You! Gregg
