Other Vacation Rental Amenities
280+ SUNSHINE days... We are in the middle of the great outdoors in a Cabin that is a pretty nice place to hang out relaxing all day and all night in all the seasons. Or in just a few minutes be hiking, skiing, biking, rafting... etc etc. The Cabin is just short of the 8000 ft elevation so in the Summer the evenings are cool. Bring a lite jacket just in case you want to sit by the stream at night. In the Winter, if the sun is out we can bask in the Sun having our mid morning coffee on the front porch. Colorado climate is typically dry and sunny.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We've been to a lot of cabins/homes in Colorado, but this was far and away the best. It really is a beautiful place on a great piece of land. The owners seem to go out of their way to make this a vacation place for the renters, too, where many owners just see it as letting someone use their house. The hot tub, fireplace, and sauna were all great for cold days and night. We can't wait to come back.

My husband and our three children (ages 13, 2, and 6mos) and my sister and brother-in-law spent nearly a week at this amazing cabin. I cannot say enough about our experience. .... multiple vacations- this is the ONLY home that has literally had it all. Bruce and Annie provide clean linens, bath towels, beach towels, laundry detergent, dish detergent, a fully loaded kitchen (with spices galore!), an outdoor grill, a pack and play with bedding, a high chair, family games, toys, a sled, kiddie cups and dishes, and even toiletries. All we needed to bring was our clothes! Upon arrival, you cross the beautiful footbridge over the stream...and enter your own little paradise. Our kiddos enjoyed the playset in the yard and we enjoyed the sauna and hot tub- daily! We caught some nice February weather and were able to enjoy the firepit by the stream by day and the wood burning fireplace kept us warm at night. Despite being off main road, we never heard a thing or felt we did not have privacy. Bruce and Annie have put immense thought into making sure their guests feel at home- from soft blankets to a bouquet of fresh tulips on the counter. The decor is a nice blend of their personalities, their family, and a log cabin home. Bruce and Annie were easy to reach and provided helpful tips for local fun- Bruce even sent me the weather report prior to our stay! I recommend this cabin to anyone (but secretly want to keep it quiet so we can come back whenever we want!!). What a treat!!! Thank you for the amazing stay!!!

What an experience! The homeowners greeted us, as we were the first guests to stay at their wonderful cabin, and it was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! The bridge that crosses over the creek is such a quintessential feature to the land and the cabin. The hot tub and sauna were located next to the creek in a quaint spot that invites you in! There is plenty of room on the property for many family games of horseshoes, beanbag toss etc and the kids had a playset to burn their energy on. The backyard is a beautiful work of art, as you can see the many facets of the landscape unique to Colorado including wildlife, rock, interesting trees etc. The cabin itself was an open concept, perfect for plenty of family bonding time, cooking, and the bedrooms were nicely accommodated. The master bedroom is on the upstairs floor, with beautiful skylights and a soaking tub. There is also a separate bathroom with a shower. We plan on returning to this wonderful property, as it is easily accessible to many small mountain towns with a variety of activities available. This cabin was all we had hoped it to be and we were perfectly comfortable. We have 3 kids ages 14, 12 and 8 and all had plenty to focus on and do. They loved everything about it, as did we. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is definitely the place to go! What a wonderful experience!!!!

This home is beautiful! It's a terrific place for a family or couple looking to getaway and recharge. Hearing the sounds of the stream was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable to watch. You could hear the stream throughout the home & we loved it. The outdoor jacuzzi was perfect-and right on the stream. We loved the wood burning fireplace as well as the outdoor firepit. This home has everything you could want - from lounge chairs to hammocks to huge windows and skylights. Nature was all around us and we enjoyed the property very much. It was also conveniently located less than an hour from Denver & not too far from Vail. The owners are also very nice. We arrived a bit early & had the pleasure of chatting with them for a few minutes. Overall we had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back soon!

The house and property were quite exquisite. The house was very clean and very comfortable feeling. The beds were very clean and comfortable. My family of 5 were very comfy and had lots of room for all of us. The amenities at the house were such a bonus. The hot tub was perfect after white water rafting. ( ava water rafting right down the road. So convenient ) the sauna was perfect to use too. The landscape around the house was picture perfect. The sound of the creek in front of the cabin was such a relaxing sound that I will never forget. The cabin was such a great price for what you will get. My family and I have traveled everywhere and stayed in the most prestigious places around the world. This cabin by far ranks at the top. I will definitely be returning soon. Bruce and Annie are by far the nicest and most sincere people you will come across. They were so helpful with the way they set up their home and offer you any help you may need on things to do or about the area. The surrounding towns were beautiful and easily to find anything you would want to do. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place with everyone. Highly recommended!!!!! Don't pass up this beautiful cabin!!

The cabin was wonderful, nestled between a small river and a large hill. The grown-ups had the most fun sitting out at the fire pit alongside the river, and the kids loved playing on the swing set. The location is also excellent. Idaho Springs has a lot going on, from a Safeway (watch out for the 3.2 beer - have to go to the liquor store for "real" stuff!), to Beau Jo's pizza to Flipper McGill's pinball bar. There is a lot to do in a short drive. The trailhead for St. Mary's Glacier is just a few miles up the road, and our kids (7&4) were able to hike it just fine. Mt. Evans is just an exit away, and you're not far from the Georgetown Loop railroad (which was a blast). It was a hard place to leave, and I'm sure we'll be going back!

Our family was lucky enough to rent this cabin for our time in Colorado. The property is its own vacation in itself. The pictures, amazing as they are, don't do it justice. The location was also spot on. We were minutes away from white water rafting, zip lining, horseback riding, a glacier, and so much more!!! The property was very clean and we'll maintained. We hope to come back in the years to come to make more memories at this very cabin. The owners were incredibly friendly, helpful and generous in their hospitality. Best vacation we've had as a family!!

I haven't vacationed in Colorado in fifteen years, and after my stay here I won't let another summer go by without a trip; this is CO at its best. It is an oasis of peace with a babbling brook nestled 10 minutes from town, but feels like it is in a world all its own. Bruce was the most welcoming host, he and Annie thought of EVERYTHING, and were not just helpful, but truly generous. The hot tub and sauna sit right next to a perfect fire pit gathering spot, the back yard sits below a sheer wall of beautiful rocks and greenery, and there is even a play area, complete with playset, for the kids. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you forgot to bring, instructions for everything were clear and at times even hilarious. It was apparent that Bruce and Annie want not just to earn your business, but for you to have an amazing time and see Colorado at its best. These guys are setting standards that every other owner will have a hard time living up to; kudos to you guys, and we can't wait to return!

We loved it. We felt like we were in a fairy tale. The bridge over the creek, the flowers, the trees...it was all so beautiful. But the best part is the home itself. We enjoyed the fireplace (it appears there is always enough firewood), the big open A frame living area and the inside is exactly what you think of when you want to stay in a cabin. Bruce is excellent and communicates quickly. It is right of I-70 on Fall River Rd., but you would never know. So although you feel like you are deep in the mountains, you are in fact close to town. I promise, you will enjoy this place.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin--it is just as pictured!! We arrived in the dark and it was very welcoming to see the lights and the warm fire in the fireplace ! There was champagne to welcome us as well! There are specific directions regarding anything and everything a person could wonder about. The stream at the base of the property provides such a relaxing sound--the next time we come, it will be during warmer weather so we can sit there and just enjoy it! And we will be coming back!! The short drive to Blackhawk was great--and we enjoyed seeing all the historic buildings (and some of the casinos too) !! The steam room and jacuzzi next to the river made our trip better then pictured !!! Bruce and Annie are amazing and welcoming people ! Because of them we felt like home !!
All in all, we loved it and can't wait to find the time to come back!! Thank you so much Bruce and Annie !!!

We couldn't have wished for a nicer spot to spend a family Christmas. The cabin was so welcoming and Bruce and Annie were incredibly helpful and thoughtful. The location was super convenient, near enough to amenities but still had that secluded mountain appeal. We had plans to go out and explore the area but the cabin was so nice we spent most of our time just enjoying the property.

From the moment we drove up to this beautiful home, we were in heaven. Bruce and Annie took care of everything and ensured our stay was extremely comfortable and unforgettable. The sun was just starting to go down when we arrived, making the Christmas lights on the bridge to the front door a special touch!. Even though it was cold, I had to just stop and stand on the bridge overlooking the babbling creek and take in the gorgeous scenery. The house was toasty warm for our arrival. Bruce and Annie even put up a huge Christmas tree for our family! For those of you with kids, this is a perfect home. And don't bother to bring toys, because there is a plethora. Really, don't pack them. We have a 10 month old son and a 3yr old daughter. I took their new Christmas toys, but they were much more interested in playing with all the toys in the house. The playground is perfect as the enormous pine trees create a canopy over the entire thing, keeping all the snow off the equipment. We can't wait to come back!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the cabin difficult to get to the Cabin in the winter or in summer for that matter? Do I need an SUV?
A: No because we are within a mile of I70 on a paved road. The reason this question is asked frequently is because many other rentals are much more difficult to navigate to because of their location which may look close but are in difficult locations. Of course, if there is a major snow storm then you may have to sit in the hot tub for a bit longer until the plows can clear!
Q: What makes you place special/different?
A: Two things jump out. One, the location is so amazing in terms of ease of getting from point A to B even though the Cabin is in the middle of the mountains. The cabin is situated close (but not too close) to the interstate and in about 35 minutes you can be to Frisco/Keystone or in downtown Denver or you can head up Fall River and in 10 minutes be at some pretty wonderful place in the national forest. The other location plus plus is that so many things are within a 5 or 10 minute drive from rafting to zipping to hiking to biking. (skiing at Loveland is 18). The second thing that makes the cabin special is the cabin.and its surroundings It's a gem from an architectural and landscape standpoint. Its was made to be comfortable and inviting and relaxing and fun and it achieves that end.
Q: What are your reviews because we didn't see any posted on this site?
A: We have had about 20 reviews (some folks just get home and forget to write haha). We have a 4.9 out 5.0 and lots of poems. That makes us very happy. We do try hard to make the experience a good one for you guys. Our reviews are on our booking site which we send you the link to when you inquire.
