“A perfect gem”
This cabin and lakefront property is not only all it promises in the listing -- it's actually much better! There's a deck on the front now. The comfy living room, dining room and kitchen are connected in a circle, so you feel like you're all together, while still allowing your group some sense of separation if you want. The decor keeps its rustic, historic camp feel, yet it's been recently updated in many thoughtful ways. The master bedroom is huge and stunning, the second bedroom is very nice, and the loft is open and cute for the kids. The dock was my favorite, though. I got up every morning at dawn, watched the fog lift as the sun broke through the clouds, listened to the loons call and the ducks land and swim by. Perfection. Mary Jeanne, the hostess, was delightful and eager to make sure everything was absolutely right -- and it was. A great stay!
Owner's reply: glad you liked it - we are always here :)
“Camp Rustic Roosr”
This camp on Lake Abanakee was a slice of paradise. It was quiet, peaceful, and besutiful! The use of the kayaks was a big plus. We loved our time there and did not want to leave. Lots of great hiking nearby too!
Owner's reply: Thank you - it is paradise indeed !! It is on Lake Adirondack - Lake Abanakee is nearby. Come again :)
“Like home away from home”
I stayed at the cabin with my family, and we had a blast. We cooked up some great meals in the kitchen, slept like babies, and enjoyed the fireplace, boats, and lake outside. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. On top of that, Mary and Mark were a pleasure to communicate with. Our stay was definitely an experience I'm looking forward to repeating!
“Perfect ADK getaway”
I came looking for peace and quiet, and I got what I was looking for! Perfect getaway in the ADK off the beaten path and away from the touristy areas and busy roads. The Creamers made us feel like their home was our home for the week. We had full use of their very comfortable cabin and all the amenities inside and out (kayaks, dock, hammock, WiFi, HD satellite TV, new deck, full kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc.). Other than sheets, towels and food - everything we needed was there. Enjoyed the wonderful expansive lakefront views from their home on Mallard Point on Adirondack Lake. Good fishing, mostly very calm waters with excellent vegetation management, and no noisy motorboats zipping by all day. Just calm, peaceful, quiet. Doesn't get any better than this. Got to meet the very friendly couple next door and spent a good amount of time chatting with them towards the end of our week when they arrived. The worst part of our visit was leaving! We look forward to returning next year!
Owner's reply: So glad you enjoyed our cozy cabin !,
“Beautiful, peaceful getaway”
If you're looking for a peace and quiet in a picturesque locale...this is it! The cabin was well-equipped and comfortable, the fishing was good and there were many sightseeing opportunities fairly nearby.
“would go there again”
Only thing better would have been good water to swim in. The house was well stocked and comfortable very clean. great porch. would have liked to have a table out on the screen porch to sit at and read/eat. Canoe was good.
