This condo is remarkable! The layout and location are superb. The place is kept clean and in good working order. The beach is one of the best in Florida that i've walked and enjoyed. the Plumlee people were fantastic to work with, very attentive and accommodating.

The condo was beautiful and amazing. Fully furnished and has a den so essentially it is 3 bedrooms. Very large and comfortable.
Fun Spring Break!

Unit 505 was wonderful! Clean when we arrived & had everything we could have needed for the kitchen. Bedding could have been a bit better but it was fine. Nice surprise to find lots of beach items in the closet on the balcony that my boys were able to use! Great location! Would definately come back again!
Great Condo, Great Vacation!

I recently had a rare visit from my brother (who lives in California) and decided to go down to the Gulf Coast with him. We stayed in Sun and Sea (unit B3) on Indian Rocks Beach. The first thing I have to say that I liked about this unit is that from both the road side and the beach side, this building was designed to be un-obtrusive (in a classy way). It's easy to drive past on the road side, and on the beach side, it looks nice and doesn't have a big website painted on it, like some of the nearby units. Upon entering, I immediately had the impression that this is a luxury unit. It is very spacious and open from the front all the way to the back where there is a (west facing) balcony overlooking the beach that was great for watching the sunset. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are all modern and clean (and the refrigerator has a filter on the water tap which I liked). The unit also has a very nice private pool. As for the beach...it is not overly crowded (at least not while we were there which was in early January) and we found lots of good shells. There is also a lot to do nearby. There are a couple of seafood restaurants right by the condo. PJs was great and you can walk there in 5 minutes. Also highly recommend Keegans (about 1 mile in the other direction), also, there are a couple of coffee shops within about a half mile that you can walk to. Also, worth the trips are the Chihuli Museum, and Fort DeSoto (on the southern end of the Island. THANKS Sun and Sea for a great one!!! -Jim

Super clean modern condo. Very easy to check in/out. Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms big and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean, upscale, and large. Living and eating area was also large and accomidating. My favorite part of the condo was the balcony. Amazing view and very large and comfortable. The in- ground pool was a nice extra that my family enjoyed. Over all expierence was great; I would recommend this place to my family and friends.
Not what we expected

We had booked this unit about 6 weeks prior to our departure and were really looking forward to staying there. From the pictures on the website everything looked good, new construction, flat screen TV, gas grill at the pool etc. When we actually arrived and went to the unit we were very disappointed with the overall design, functionality and repair of the unit. Simple things like the dining table being situated up near the entrance door miles away from any view or sunlight, tucked away in the darkest part of the condo. The kitchen was nice but only had 6 of everything, 6 knives, 6 forks, six cups etc. this would mean that we would have to do the dishes after every single meal. Several of the window coverings were broken and there were some disconcerting lights on the stove that we could not explain. There was no table on the balcony other than a very small one that you could put a drink on and only 2 chairs. Good luck if you like to eat your breakfast out on the balcony as we normally do. There were only one or two loungers at the pool, good thing to as there was barely enough room to walk around the pool never mind any room to lounge. No hot tub and the beach itself was very narrow at the location. One of the biggest concerns that we had was the fact that the master bathroom has no door on it! There is just a small hallway which means if you are lying on the bed you can look right in and see your significant other answering natures call which is just a bit too intimate for my wife and I, we enjoy a bit of privacy in the bathroom. Needless to say we did not feel comfortable staying in this unit and I got on the phone with the rental company and explained the situation and they were able to switch us to a different Condo building. I would suggest that you should definitely put a door on the bathroom and try and address some of these other areas of concern or you will have other renters that may have a similar experience and not be so forthcoming in telling you. This unit was well decorated, comfortable, and offered numerous amenities. We loved keeping the sliders open... it gave an indoor/outdoor feel to the place. Listening to the waves crashing on shore was peaceful and restful. The beach is literally just a stone's throw away, very clean, and welcoming. There was a big thunderstorm our first night and we had a great view from the balcomy... also made for some great shell hunting the next morning. We didn't realize until later that the sofa in the living room opened to a sleeper... can't get much closer to actually sleeping on the beach than that. I wasn't sure what to expect for mid-December and was pleasantly surprised... great temps for sunbathing, walking the beach, playing golf and other outdoor activities. Not a lot of people... we felt like we had the pool and hot tub all to ourselves. I really liked the fact that we were within walking distance to several restaurants. We tried a lot but our favorites were Guppys, PJs Oyster Bar, Keegans, and then traveling down to Madfish in St. Pete's Beach. Because we had been to Guppys before and didn't make it to their sister restaurant (E & E Stakeout Grill) during our last trip, we made sure to try that out as well. Lots of others, but these were our favorites. All in all, kitchen was well stocked, lots of beach equipment, lots of storage, and beds were comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay, owner was great to work with, and we'll definitely think about coming back again!
Signs are hazy.

This is a lovely condo, on a lovely part of Indian Rocks Beach. However, it had some disappointing characteristics. The ice machine in the freezer did not work. One of the burner lights on the stove stayed on constantly, and the knobs on the oven did not correspond to the diagram of burners. No dish soap or cleaning supplies except dishwasher detergent, nor any beach towels were supplied. It was a constant struggle to open the door to the lobby--I was never able to do it over the course of the week, and several other visitors, one resident, and the maintenence person all complained about it. However, the person whom the management company sent over to check it had no problem. By the day we left, someone had disabled the locks on both the lobby and back staircase, not good for security, but a lot less frustrating. The pool and grounds were lovely and well-maintained, though having the lawn around the pool mowed and trimmed mid-morning on Saturday seemed an odd choice. The furniture was comfortable with the exception of the master bedroom mattress which had a deep valley. There is NO door separating the master bedroom and bath. We had a good vacation seeing family and friends, but will not be returning to this condo.
