Description from owner
The newly constructed Baja Magic Lodge features 7 ocean front rooms, 18 beds, multilevel decks, million dollar views, friendly staff, and remote location on Cedros Island, Baja California, Mexico. $280 PER NIGHT INCLUDES 7 ROOMS WITH 7 BATHROOMS, MAID SERVICE AND USE OF KITCHEN, OFF SEASON OCT-MAY ONLY.
Isla Cedros is in the Pacific Ocean, about 60 miles off the coast of Guerrero Negro, in the state of Baja California Norte, Mexico. (Please note Baja Magic Lodge is NOT in or near San Quintin, but this is the closest region that was available for this listing). The lodge is available for fishing clients, eco-tours, for yachts, fly-in guests, and for retreats and events. Comfy beds, wi-fi, warm sun and cool breezes. We offer low, off-season, ala carte rates Oct-May, and discounts for weekly or monthly stays.
HOW TO GET TO CEDROS ISLAND: Cedros is remote, but there are a number of ways to get there.
1. There is one small regional airline, Aero Servicios Guerrero that flies from Ensenada or Guerrero Negro to the island and back on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
2. We can also arrange private flights in a small plane directly from the US, which can carry 3-4 people.
3. We can pick you up from the closest point by land, Punta Eugenia. This is a fishing camp south of Bahia Tortugas, a very tiny place, but you can leave your car there. The cost for one panga boat to pick up is $280 per day, and you can fit about 6 or 7 people and luggage to transport to the island, about a 1 hour boat ride.
4. You can also fly your own plane or come in on your own boat.
FOOD: The prices listed include use of the kitchen. For an additional charge you can also have all your meals included. The cost for meals is $60 per person per day, $40 per child under 12 per day.
Contact us for details about high season pricing (fishing or eco-tour packages) or discounts to rent part of the lodge.
More details: Baja Magic Lodge is a private lodge located on a cliff overlooking the ocean, just beyond the high school that sits on the south edge of Cedros Town. (GPS 28 05"² 27"³ N - 115 11"² 13"³ W)
Rent one room or all seven (contact us about reduced rates for groups). We offer all-inclusive packages for panga fishing and ecotour trips, or you can rent rooms only from Oct-May.
All rooms at Baja Magic Lodge have glass front walls with sliding doors and decks, and panoramic ocean views. Each room has a private bathroom with shower, hot water, toilet, and sink, and 2-3 comfortable beds (queens or extra long doubles), desks and storage for clothes.
The kitchen will be available for your use, or for an additional fee you can have breakfast or all your meals included. The beds are extra long doubles or queen sized, with high quality mattresses and linens on solid wood platforms.
We have four rooms upstairs and four on the first level (three normally available). If you have a problem climbing stairs please let us know and we will put you in a downstairs room.
Free WiFi in all rooms.
For an additional fee we can arrange air transportation to the island, panga boats for fishing or sightseeing or eco tour activities (endemic plants, elephant and guadalupe fur seals, photography, etc.). Let us know if you require additional services, or send us a message with any questions.
Beds: 9 Queen Beds, 9 Double Beds

Review from a client on Trip Advisor: "Cedros Island rocks! Fascinating plant and animal life for our botanists and biologists, beautiful seashore, great sea life, and incredible geology for rockhounds. Our hosts at Cedros Outdoor Adventure accommodated our every desire--they made this remote island easy to get to, provided great food and lodging, and provided transportation to the places we wanted to go. Ours was not the usual fishing trip; we focused on the terrestrial island delights. The rooms were large and clean and beautifully situated, but we also camped out under the stars in different parts of the island and enjoyed seeing more of what this island has to offer. Ecologically this island is in pretty good shape, and I hope ecotourism will not strain the delicate water supply. Jose reminds all visitors that a single spring provides the fresh water for the town.
Meals are served family style on the patio, which is located on a cliff overlooking the sea. The meals were ample and tasty, including of course, very fresh seafood. I liked the fact that the fish were not cleaned at the lodge, which meant that there was not a noisy collection of gulls hanging around; instead pelicans and gulls would just glide by at eye level. The lodge is outside the town, which means it is quiet at night, with the sea in front and the desert behind--beautiful and relaxing views. All rooms have shaded porches with wonderful views of the sea."
