Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Island Park, Idaho

Clean, well equipped, a convenient location to services and to Yellowstone Park, your cabin helped make our family vacation a memorable event. The weather was perfect and the surrounding area beautiful. Thank you for your helpful information. Our stay could not have been better.
Great house in quiet neighborhood
July 31, 2015
Very nice, well cared for home. One bedroom downstairs and a huge loft and another bedroom upstairs. Bedrooms are small, especially the upstairs bedroom, but very clean and well appointed. Kitchen was well stocked. Beautiful view of cattle and the mountains and from the back of the house. Henry's Fork was a short 10 minute drive for fly fishing. West Yellowstone about 20 minutes.
Perfect little place.

This was a great place to stay for our rent visit to Yellowstone. We had 4 adults and three kids and it worked perfectly. The cabin was very clean, everything worked, it was a great stay. The only thing I would mention is you may want to bring your own towels. You are required to wash and dry all your towels prior to departure. This made it very difficult to get everybody ready in the morning and try to get an early departure. They recommend washing them the night before but this does not always work if you are getting g back from the park late etc. Be prepared for this and having to run your own garbage and you will have a great stay...we did!
In proper information

I was not told GPS didn't work around Island Park. When I called for code to get into cabin I was told we couldn't drink the water. We bought water for drinking, brushing teeth, making coffee. We stopped at a gas station thankfully a worker called the rental company to help us find the cabin. I asked if the code was for a lock box that realtors use and was told it was. I was not told it wasn't on the door but a white small thing on the porch post. After searching we finally found what we thought could be the lock box. We had to stand on a chair to reach it. We had a hard time putting it back when we left. We had to call rental agency to be told how to put it back. After driving several hours to reach the cabin one would hope you wouldn't have to have such a hard time finding the cabin and getting inside. Over all wouldn't do a rental again with this company.

We chose Island Park as it was close to the west entrance of Yellowstone. Also the fact that the cabin was pet friendly as we travel with our four leg kids Miley & Bailey. Both owners Jason and Steve were most helpful and followed up with us on how our stay was. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax, fish or be close to Yellowstone!
Great replacement cabin
September 22, 2013
Oops, the cabin was not ready after a flood. The owner was instant in getting the property manager to provide a lovely replacement cabin for us.

Very natural setting, nice cabin. We had some unresolved issues with owners that remain unresolved. Cabin yard was not tended to, sofa was broke and unusable, no where to put trash, no a/c as stated on his page of amenities and bed bugs.

I stayed here the summer of 2013. Beware of Bugs! We found a bug in the upstair bed and looked it up on the internet and it matched images of bed bugs. There were also clusters of bites on three of my family that are consistent with bed bug bites. I was dissatisfied with their customer service, regarding this matter. No compensation was offered to us, despite the major inconvenience of having to sterilize and heat treat our belongings in hopes of killing the pesky bugs. They did not follow up with us upon our leaving until pressed to do so. I do not recommend staying here.
Perfect cabin for a Yellowstone vacation!
July 8, 2013
This cabin was a great place to stay for a week while we went in and out of Yellowstone. Just 20 minutes from West Yellowstone and even less to some great fishing, canoeing and horseback riding! The cabin was fully stocked and we really didn't need to bring some of the stuff that we did, but some things in the pantry were out of date so we replaced them. The cabin itself was wonderful and charming. Satellite TV for when we just wanted to hang out and relax. Grill on the deck or just sit out and enjoy nature. The beds and furniture were clean and comfy. We would definitely stay again if we make another trip to Yellowstone!

A beautiful, cozy cabin
July 1, 2012
This particular cabin that we stayed in was just beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. It had such a cozy feeling to the place, but yet so spacious! Our three kids loved sleeping upstairs in the bedroom and loft. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us. It had everything that you would ever need or want. We cooked the entire time that we were there and it was just like cooking in our own home. My husband and I had originally wanted to stay in West Yellowstone, but found no vacancy. I am so grateful that we did not! After staying here in Island Park, Idaho, a short and beautiful drive (about 20 min) from the west entrance to Yellowstone, we would never consider staying anywhere else again! If we are ever able to go another time, I would love to stay in this same cabin!

Loved the view!
August 23, 2010
We were sold on the view based on the pix we saw on VRBO. The fact that we had to off-road to get to the home made it exciting. The beds were comfortable and our kids loved playing with the cute dogs. It was great to have internet access and be close to West Yellowstone. The home was impeccably clean, cozy and comfortable.

Rustic but rundown....
September 5, 2009
The cabin was a nice respite but needs some TLC...broken screens not fixed in 2 years...cobwebs and dust everywhere...NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING... If you want the rustic feel this is the cabin for you although just feet from a busy/noisy highway if the windows are open. Plenty of linens and lots of stocked shelves. Worked out great just wish it were being taken care of a bit better. Great location to W. Yellowstone. Thanks. Minnesota Travelers

My relatives came from Greece. We had an excellant time at the cabin. The accommodations were wonderful and everyone had a good time. I plan to go there again.

We actually didn't get to stay there because when we arrived at the cabin (driving from Kansas) there was someone else in the cabin. It was Jason's brother-in-law. Jason is one of the co-owners of the cabin. He and I had had many conversations and emails on the date at which we were to arrive and he said it was accidently overbooked for one night and he made it perfectly clear that he wasn't about to have his brother-in-law move out so we could move in for the rest of the week. In my opinion, I would not recommend this cabin to anyone. Jason is not very professional and should have accomodated our party of (4) instead of his brother-in-law. We had to find another cabin which costs us an additional $100.00. Needless to say the cabin we did end up renting was much better than Jason's. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CABIN BECAUSE OF THE CO-OWNER JASON PATTERSON. Our experience was indeed terrible to say the least. Fran M

The cabin was comfortable and charming. There was a slight misunderstanding but the owners were very easy to work with and the problem was resolved to our satisfaction.
Very Comfortable Cabin
August 25, 2008
We enjoyed our stay so much, unfortunately we spent so much time in Yellowstone that we didn't get to relax much in the cabin. Very comfortable cabin, peaceful setting, we would definitely stay again.

The hot water in the master bath did not get hot! The kitchen water was frozen for the first day. Nowhere to leave trash bags so we had to pack out garbage. Other than that what a great time. The view is great. We left a lot of treats for the next guest!!!

Staying at the other end of Island Park
January 15, 2008
My family and some of our friends stayed in this seemingly rustic cabin which had been remodeled with all the wanted features. We especially appreciated the wonderful antique furniture. The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms were very nicely stocked. We were glad about the location of the cabin. We have spent the last twenty years renting on the other side of the longest mainstreet in the USA. We enjoyed snow shoe trips on the nearby Continental Divide, and up the draws behind the cabin. We still cross country skied our favorite Buffalo River trails and then enjoyed the sunsets over Henry's Lake from "our" cabin. We liked the warm, cozy feeling of the cabin and the "character" found in our habitat of four days. In the past we have skied a couple of miles into isolated retreats. The short 100 yard walk to this unique cabin was well worth the effort....the snow plow never showed up. No worries, we loved our time alone together overlooking the views of northern Island Park.

Hello, This is the first time we have been in your area. It was absolutely beautiful. We hope to come again in the spring of next year. Thank you again, Barbara
We had a great stay at the cabin. It was perfect for
our family. We enjoyed reading all the brochures and
material about the area.
We loved Yellowstone and saw tons of animals. We even
saw a Moose cross the road as we headed back to the
cabin one night.
Thanks for letting us stay there.
Thanks for a great stay!
Sorry it took so long to reply, but your voice mail kept slipping my mind.
We had a wonderful time at your cabin. The location was great and made a fantastic "base camp" for our Yellowstone trip. Next time I'll have to get some better flyfishing spots from you though... a day on the Madison at the
spot I picked only got me 1 brown. Still a great time altogether.
