Description of the Isle of Palms vacation home rental
Welcome to our cute and casual raised beach home with our own private pool, at the gateway to Wild Dunes. Located inside the resort, our home is mere steps from the best WIDE UNSPOILED beach in Isle of Palms. Convenient to the Citadel Beach House, and on the bike path for easy access to all of Wild Dunes Resort.

You enter our elevated home through the screened porch, which is adjacent to our elevated triangle pool (most unusual!), great for splashing around after a day of sun. Inside you see an open floor plan with full kitchen with breakfast bar for 4, and everything you need for cooking anything from quick coffee and toast before golf, to an elaborate low country shrimp boil. Pots, pans, dishes, microwave, all the appliances plus a dishwasher of course. Kitchen is open to the dining area with table/chairs for 7 (plus 4 more at the breakfast bar). This is open to the living room with sleeper sofa and 2 recliners, and a big flat screen TV with cable. Just off the living room is a half bath.

Also on the main floor is the master bedroom with queen bed and TV set, and its own en suite bathroom with double vanity, tub/shower and "water closet." The bedroom has a nice big closet too.

Upstairs you find a bedroom with a queen bed (with "reading nook"), a bedroom with a double bed with twin bunk, and another full living room - this one with sleeper futon, foosball table, another TV, and an alcove with two twin beds. (My kids always call this "The Kids Lounge!") The stack washer/dryer is also in this area, plus there is a handy sink area for some extra "vanity space." There's another full bath upstairs - this one with shower and toilet area next to the sink vanity.

Step outdoors and you'll find our gas grill so you can cook up some juicy steaks, corn on the cob from the farmers market, or that fresh fish you pulled out of the surf earlier in the day. There's also a basketball goal, plus plenty of storage for bikes and golf carts which you can rent and have delivered right to the house. An outdoor shower has hot and cold running water, and there's also a hose in case Fido needs to rinse off.

Plenty of parking under the house and in the driveway for you and your friends (and your golf cart - you can rent one!!).

We strive to provide clean, comfortable accommodations at an attractive price. Our home is not super fancy but everyone agrees that we have everything you need to enjoy vacation. BYO sheets and towels. If your vacation rental needs call for high end items like Sub-zero appliances, brand new furniture, designer touches and granite everywhere, please try Wild Dunes Rentals - there are many choices available for people who are used to paying more.

Be sure to get a complete quote from the owner that includes all taxes and fees, so you are not surprised. Dare to compare our complete price to anyone else in Wild Dunes or Isle of Palms.

What about the "Sports Card?" Our home does not participate in the Sports Card program; did you know that guests are still required to pay additional fees to use resort pools and facilities even when you present a Sports Card, and you still don't get access to many Wild Dunes facilities? We figured, why bother...so we built our own pool. Be sure to find out all the info about the Sports Card so you are not surprised if you choose a property that features this item.

One more thing - WE DO NOT ADVERTISE THIS VACATION RENTAL ON CRAIGS LIST! If you see this home in Craigs List or Wix or any of the "free" websites, it is probably a scam, so beware.

We're inside the Wild Dunes resort, so you have access to tons of amenities; ask for details. We're just a couple miles (bike ride friendly) from downtown Isle of Palms with its famous Windjammer seaside bar and grille, a Ben & Jerrys, cute shops and eateries and big oceanfront city park. Plus we're close to the Isle of Palms recreation center, with free dog park, huge kids play area, ball fields, tennis courts, and fitness center. Isle of Palms is 20 minutes from glorious Charleston SC, a foodie and photography paradise. So much to see and do... plus we're in a quiet residential neighborhood so you can just kick back and do nothing with ease.

Q: What is your pet policy?
A: We'll send you our pet policy; it can be summed up in three words: "Dont' be stupid."
Q: Why don't you provide the sheets and towels in your rental?
A: Having "byo" sheets/towels saves the guest HUNDREDS of dollars. When you consider we have 8 beds/sleepers/futons, you'd be talking about $250 in added cost if we were to provide the sheets/towels. Why not bring your own, and use that money for a nice dinner out, or a night of mini golf and go-karts rather than on having us provide some boring sheets!
Q: Why can't I do my own cleaning when I leave, and save myself the departure cleaning fee?
A: We want to be sure every guest has a positive experience, so we have the same team consistently do the cleaning in our property; that way we all know what to expect. Not saying that you wouldn't do a fine job cleaning, but we don't want to leave it to chance. Guests always compliment us on how nice and clean our home is, and we want to keep it that way.
