Welcome to Blue Heron Manor on the Isle of Palms, South Carolina. This contemporary, art-filled beach house offers guests the perfect combination of sophisticated style and casual comfort. The house sleeps 12 people and is just a short walk (240 yards) to the beach and only 10 miles to Charleston.

Blue Heron Manor has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths and features a large deck with private pool and two master bedroom suites, each with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. Winter guests particularly love the gas fireplace and six-person hot tub on the deck under the stars.

Level 1 has a cathedral ceiling living room (with sleeper sofa), gas fireplace, skylights, CD player/radio, TV with VCR/DVD, and formal dining room. The eat-in kitchen (with microwave) is fully equipped and adjoins a large private screened porch with eating and sitting areas. The laundry room is off the kitchen and has a washer/dryer (with laundry soap provided), ironing board, iron, and vacuum cleaner.

The first floor master BR has a king-size bed, TV/VCR, walk-in closet, and private bath with jacuzzi, 2 sinks, and a separate room with toilet and shower.

The mid-level of the house has a master suite with queen bed, private bath with jacuzzi, double sinks and tiled shower.

The top level has a bath with shower/tub and two bedrooms; bedroom one has 2 double beds and TV, bedroom two has a queen bed.

The ground level includes a 2-car garage, love-seat swing, outdoor shower, and private back yard with manicured grounds and orange trees. All towels and designer linens are provided.

The Blue Heron Manor is located at 20 42nd Ave, Isle of Palms, South Carolina 29452. Go out your front door and walk 240 yards and you will find yourself on a five-mile stretch of one of the most beautiful and pristine white sand beaches in the world. There are only residential homes on the beach near our house -- no hotels or other businesses -- so the beach remains quiet and relatively uncrowded, even in the height of summer.

Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, the Isle of Palms is a classic family-oriented beachfront community. With its broad beaches, breathtaking ocean, spectacular salt marsh scenery, lively shops, variety of restaurants, and full-service deep water marina, the Isle of Palms is an ideal destination for a romantic getaway or full-filled family vacation. Explore the neighboring barrier islands and plantations. Or try parasailing, horseback riding, biking, kayaking or any number of other activities nearby. Take a boat tour to watch the dolphins or just spend a day fishing. The world famous Wild Dunes Golf Course is open to the public and is just 5 minutes from the house or play the Patriot's Point Golf Course in neighboring Mt. Pleasant. There is also a wonderful playground nearby for children.

Just 20 minutes away is Charleston, one of the most beautiful and historic cities in America. Charleston offers world-class cultural events, fabulous restaurants, delightful shops and galleries, and a vibrant old market where artisans carry on the African tradition of basket weaving. Take a horse-drawn buggy tour or just stroll the streets and waterfront at your leisure. Children will particularly love the Charleston aquarium.
