Great value

June 29, 2011

My wife and I stayed at this unit for a week in June, 2011. The overall experience was very positive. The owner, Carl, was highly responsive to all inquiries both before the rental and during the rental itself, always getting back to us 12-24 hours of an email. The apartment is centrally located, less than a five minute walk from Mahane Yehuda and less than fifteen minutes from both Ben Yehuda and the bus station. There are also many restaurants nearby as well as the shuk, of course. The apartment is equipped with cable (or satellite) television and wifi internet. Though the apartment does not have a telephone, there is a public telephone on the corner of agripas. As another commenter noted, the apartment does have air conditioning, but the bedroom does not. We discovered a dehumidifier in the bedroom halfway through our stay which made the bedroom much more comfortable. Carl left a packet of notes, which gives helpful advice on the apartment and neighborhood. For instance, we would not have known to turn on the hot water heater for the shower without the packet. Overall, the apartment is an excellent value, and I would certainly stay in the apartment on a future trip to Jerusalem.

Wonderful experience in Nachlaot

July 19, 2010

Stayed in this apartment on Nissim Behar from late June through mid-July 2010. Fabulous location in Nachlaot, a funky neighborhood near Machane Yehuda market and within walking distance of everything. Apartment is small and is lacking some appliances (clothes dryer, dishwasher) but has absolutely everything else you would want or need (including a laundromat 1/2 block away). Owner was very easy to work with and extremely responsive. I recommend this apartment highly and without reservation.

Neighborhood experience...

March 6, 2010

We found living in a neighborhood, a fabulous way to be a part of the community. The apt. was charming with the conveniences of home....especially the washing machine since we were staying in Israel for two weeks. That's a nice extra feature. We would definately stay again when we return for a visit. Carl, the owner, was fabulous to work with!

March 3, 2010

My bro from Atlanta -I'm from Denver went for Succot. The location was great-close to main bus terminal-walking distance to the convention center- old city- Ben Yahuda-Mahane Yehuda Mkt. We walked everywhere and went everywhere (we are 66 & 56). Met some very nice & friendly people in the neighborhood. Found the BEST falafel walk-up stand at the top of the street.Rented a car- ADVISE -FEED THE METER.Best exchange rate on Agrippa St (where Mahane Yehuda Mkts are.)

Very convenient!

January 13, 2010

The appartment is nice and very well equiped: washing machine, all the staff required to cook there... makes it very convenient and a home away from home. Ideal for couples. It's well situated, next to Mahane Yehuda Market, in a quiet neighborhood and in a walking distance from the old town (we could get there everyday by walk, no need to take buses) and the Ben Yehuda Street, the main comercial zone in Jerusalem. We would recomend it to any of our friends who will go to Jerusalem.

Perfect Honeymoon

February 12, 2009

My wife and I didn't want to stay in a hotel while we were on our honeymoon in Jerusalem. After a little web investigation I found this little one bed apartment in the lovely area of Naolot. Sarah and I loved staying here. The location is ideal for getting into the main city areas of attraction and the apartment itself was cosy, secure, tidy and well equiped. The nearby shuk was an excellent 'must-see'. My first experience of Jerusalem was perfect. Obviously newly married my perception may have been rose tinted but the property was lovely and the location was really convenient. The owner Carl was excellent in answering all my queries prior to our visit and his duaghter was very helpful when we arrived at the property very early in the morning. I'd recommend a stay in this apartment to any young or older couple.

Hot Spot!

June 3, 2008

Fantastic find in the center of Jerusalem! I'm almost afraid to shage this w/ others and let out the secret! Great location, fantastic price, small but adequate for the "on the go" traveler. The neighborhood is really cool and it is in the center of everything in Jerusalem. It is great being so close to the awesome Mahane Yehudah market!! Highly recommended for the budget conscious and "young at heart" traveller!

Great location

January 24, 2008

I especially enjoyed the proximity to the center of town, to the university, and to the famous open-air "shuk," as well as the charm of the neighborhood. Landlord is very amiable.
