I had a positive experience staying at this flat. I stayed for almost three months. The location is super. Close to everything. The flat itself is very accommodating. There are many spaces for life in this place, including a rooftop that is breathtaking. It is a great place for several people as the multi-level style provides for togetherness, but also individual privacy. I hope I can rent this property in the future.

A house with a view

August 10, 2013

The house is located on a beautiful, country-like and quiet street. Although the house looks like a small building from the street it is a private house. The apartment itself is spread through several floors with a room on each floor. This gives a feeling of privacy which is great is you are a family with children. The house is beautiful, clean, and has everything you need, including dishes, towels and beautiful fresh beddings. The view from the living room and the roof balcony is just unbeatable: A whole panoramic view of the old city of Jerusalem. The street is a 10-15 minute walk to very enjoyable Jerusalem streets such as Derekh Betlehem and Emek Refaim in the German Colony with their dozens of great restaurants. It is also a 5-minute walk to the First Train Station, a new complex with restaurants, farmer market, bike rentals, etc. and a 5-minute walk as well to the Jerusalem promenade. Altogether, a very pleasant place to stay at when in Jerusalem.

The unit is as described a gem. we found it to be comfortable, located in an exclusive and quiet neighborhood. Clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The multi level unit may not be suitable to the elderly and handicapped. Will definately use it again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are my favorite things to do walking distance to the house?
A: Take a 3 hour FREE walking tour from Jaffa Gate from the New Jerusalem Tour company. This is the BEST tour of the OLD CITY and each time I take it I learn new things. Its free, its easy to access and you can walk from the apartment to the Jaffa Gate meeting place. A must do!
Q: What makes this vacation rental so special?
A: The view from the living room is lovely and having morning tea or coffee on the roof top with view of the Temple Mount is a sweet experience. We love the fresh air, the smell of pine and fir trees and the views while sipping good turkish coffee.
Q: Coolest nearby activity?
A: 1. Spend an afternoon at the First Station visiting boutiques and enjoying a great meal with great wine or the BEST ice cream in the country!
2. Walking or driving to the German Colony for a great meal, shopping and sites.
Q: What is special about our place?
A: The multi-level provides privacy and uniqueness. If you have a family of 4 or 6, the multi-level provides privacy and quiet for couples, friends, or family that share the place for the duration of the visit
