We really enjoyed this property.Quiet area with considerable distance from neighbors.Very roomy, fully equipped kitchen, various comfy furnishings including leather massage chair and adjustable extra-firm Tempurpedic bed.Soft pillow-top beds too,and nice patio seating around the fire pit.Hot tub clean and works great. All doors and windows work smoothly, and offer nice views all around.Huge property with many rabbits, birds, and lizards to see.The sunrise and sunset views here are outstanding, with rapidly changing shadows and colors.Star gazing also superb, even from upstairs bedroom ,when the wind kicks up outside.Living room (only)TV has plenty of channels.Nice appliances and wireless internet complete a vacation house we'd love to live in,handled by very nice people.Great for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

We stayed at the very aptly named Quail Crossing (we saw tons of quail, other types of birds, jackrabbits, bunnies, and lizards crossing past our back sliding glass doors) for a weekend in June while attending a friend's wedding in town. We brought my mother and our 2.5 year old son and the place was just perfect for the four of us to spread out in the three bedrooms (and three bathrooms!). My son was overjoyed at discovering the swing set, climbing structure, and sand box, not to mention the toys hidden in the ottomans, but no worries if you don't have children-- all of the touches for children were tucked away and the house was beautifully appointed in a modern style. As promised, there were coffee beans and a grinder, of which we took full advantage. The full kitchen, dvd player, eclectic dvd collection, and washer/dryer made it a real home away from home. The hammock, chair swing, fire pit, chiminea, nice breezes, and beautiful views made it vacation worthy. We would love to return to Quail Crossing or check out one of the other Moonlight Mesa Retreats should we ever have the occasion to return to Joshua Tree!

Nice family vacation house Very open house with nice kitchen, well stocked for cooking. Loved the hot tub outside! Too chilly to enjoy the backyard, but it was nice and private. A good location close to the entrance to the park and close to town.
The Coso Family Holiday. My family and I just got back from our second United States holiday and had a particularly splendid time in Joshua Tree California. Not being used to the desert heat we decided to search for a place with a pool, the choices are limited but we managed to find one. The Desert Casa was our Casa away from Casa. The pool was a fabulous treat at the end of a long day in the park. The house was clean and cozy and Christal made us feel right at home.

We stayed three nights in Rio House. It was wonderful! The house was well equipped and very clean. We loved the proximity to the National Park. We went on many great hikes and then came back to the house to relax. We ate most of our meals out on the patio so we could enjoy the views and wildlife. Christa was very nice to work with. We wished we could have stayed longer and we hope to return someday.
