Hale Lani was the perfect locale for my recent 50th birthday party in Kona. We had 10 adults staying in the house without ever feeling crowded, and on several occasions had up to 20 there for meals or to enjoy the incredible sunsets from the lanai. The house is spacious, beautifully-appointed but comfortable, and laid out in such a way that everyone has privacy. And the location was wonderful for us as well - close to the airport, a quick drive down to CostCo to stock up, and only 10-15 minutes into town or to Kekaha Kai beach, a hidden gem north of the airport.

My family and I stayed at Hale Lani for a family vacation. The age range of the group was from my youngest nephew, who is 9, to my mother, who is 63. Richard met us at the house after we got off the plane. He was very welcoming and showed us around the property. The house had everything that we could have needed. The pool and hot tub was enjoyed by everyone and the lanai's were used extensively for eating and just relaxing. The large kitchen was nice for making family dinners. The view is absolutely amazing! We watched cruise ships come to port in Kona almost every morning we were there. The house is nearby to some of the best beaches on the island and downtown Kona is only minutes away. Everything as far as beach chairs, towels, snorkels, boogie boards and coolers were there and made it nice for days away from the home. The house is very private. We had zero issues with anything involving the house or our stay. It was a vacation we will all remember and wish wouldn't have ended. If we get the chance to go back to Hawaii I would not hesitate to book Hale Lani again. It is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on the Big Island. Thank you Richard and I hope that I will be able to bring the family down again!

I brought my kids and grandkids to the big island for their first time (13 total) and found the house to exceed my expectations. Keeping the destination secret from everyone insured that they would be overwhelmed with the house when we arrived, and it worked. The house was better than described, located in a quiet neighborhood, in the best place on the island. We had two weeks of perfect weather and never put the top up on our Camaro once. Kona is wonderful and a 1.5 hour drive will take you anywhere on the island. My group did it all and our memories will last a lifetime. We surfed in the morning and had a snowball fight on Mauna Kea in the afternoon. Can't wait to go back next year.

We spent 11 days at Hale Heaven to celebrate our 40th Anniversary with our kids and grandchildren. The grounds are breathtaking ! We spent most of our vacation in the tropical manicured backyard enjoying the beautiful pool. The Sandy bottomed paddling pool was perfect for the 3 little ones ! The swim up bar was a fun added feature !
We thank you Richard for helping us out during our stay. We all appreciated your thoughtfulness. You went above and beyond !
You won't be disappointed if you stay at this amazing property ! We hope to be back again someday !

My granddaughter, after touring the house said, "This place is awesome!!" My son said that, "This house is much nicer than the pictures showed." From the fabulous eucalyptus floors, to the great view from the lanai, and the well equipped kitchen(s), we managed quite well with self-catering. It is not Shangri-La, because like every place, it has its quirks but Richard was available and sent repairmen. Truly, the accommodations were spacious, amenities plentiful, the beds comfortable, and, perhaps, our only regret is that there is so much to do on the island that most of our time at the house was limited to eating and sleeping.
