Description of the Kailua-Kona vacation condo rental
Kona Plaza is located across the street from Kona Inn Shopping Village, Hulihe'e Palace and the beach. Kona is home to the world famous Ironman Triathlon which starts and finishes less than a quarter mile down the street at Kailua Pier, which is also the starting point for the worlds largest outrigger canoe race and the Kona International Billfish Tournament. Ultraman starts here too. Everything happens in Kona.

There is a lovely place to get a cup of Kona coffee just downstairs, and there are numerous fabulous restaurants and stores within immediate walking distance. Nearby historical sites include Hulihe'e Palace across the street, Mokuaikaua the first Christian church in the Hawaiian Islands next door and Ahuena Heiau at Kailua Pier.

fabulous location and spotless
This property is wonderful. It was spotless, very quite, wonderful central location., There is no car necessary. The kitchen is well equipped and the property is great. Two BBQ/ocean view decks and a wonderful pool. I highly recommend.

The perfect place to stay in Kona
We stayed here for a week in the end of October 2011. It was just my girlfriend and I.

Lots of room. Nice bedroom, and there was a futon if you needed more sleeping room. Modern kitchen with everything you will need to make any meal. Private balcony which enclosed to keep the bugs out overlooking a church. I used the WiFi everyday. Nice bathroom and it is nice alot of people left toiletries just incase you forget something. Another thing that was great to have, was your own washer and dryer.

I would recommend using the BBQ balcony on the 4th floor. Great view and nice area to relax after a day of activities. Location was perfect. Downtown Kona able to walk everywhere. They have a underground parking garage that was very safe and elevator taking you to your floor.

I would highly recommend this place. My parents have a place in Kona, but I know I will stay here again.

I thank our hosts for always being responsive to e-mails and going the extra effort to allow me to get something mailed from the mainland to the condo. They are great.

Couldn't have asked for a better place.

Aloha great vacation !
My husband and I just spent 3 wonderful months in Kona in this great condo. The condo was spotless and the kitchen very well equipped for our long say. It is in a perfect location, walking distance to supermarkets 10 minutes away up the hill and farmer's market 5 minutes away and many restaurants.
We enjoyed everything ... snorkeling by the pier, walking along Alii Drive, the fresh fruits and crafts at the market and the live music at night in many restaurants and Bosco the amazing one man band at the Kona Inn.
Unless you want to visit the rest of the island, you do not need a car.
Suzie is the best host you can find. She always responded promptly to any question and helped us discover this great island.

We highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. We hope to be back for another winter escape !

Perfect location for business or pleasure
We completely enjoyed our stay at the condo. Great location, close to restaurants, walking distance to shopping and we loved the free, secured covered parking. Fantastic Condo
We picked this unit because of its location, right on the main drag of Ali'i Drive. The unit is nicely decorated and very clean! Talk about well equipped as well, this unit had all the comforts of home. It even had coffee and a lot of herbs and spices as well. Everything is just so close. This unit is on the quiet side of the complex which suited us just fine. The pool was great and most of the time was hardly ever used which suited us just fine nothing like having your own private pool. We would most certainly recommend this place to our friends. Fantastic place.

Clean and Comfortable, Great Location
This condo worked great for us. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed to facilitate our activities. I liked the covered secure parking. The kitchen had everything we needed though the microwave above the stove was a little high for my short wife. (step stool on the lanai). We ate most of our meals out on the screened lanai with table and chairs. It does not have a view of the ocean but during the week days you hear the happy sounds of children playing at the day care by the church next door. For being so close to Alii drive I was amazed and pleased at how quiet it was at night. The owners were great to work with.

LOCATION, LOCATION, clean and updated Condo in the heart of KONA!! You can't beat this!
My husband and I had a relaxing week in the prime area of Kona. The condo is spotless and updated with AC, laundry in the unit, a fully loaded kitchen and a sizeable screened in lanai. There is elevator access to the unit in the event you can't handle stairs. This is a one bedroom condo but the living space is nicely separated from the bedroom so you really have room and can comfortably fit 4 people.

The location is PERFECT! Leave your car in the garage and walk everywhere in Kona; with Alii Drive a few feet away you have your choice of restaurants, shopping, the pacific ocean is right there!! The condo has a lovely pool where you can relax and a rooftop barbeque deck with a million dollar view, take it all in and enjoy. You can look forward to coming "home" to a clean condo at the end of a busy day where you can unwind with a glass of wine and enjoy the feeling of being at home.

I really felt like I was at home, there are towels for your day at the beach, a boogie board and cooler - we were good to go!! You DONT get this at a hotel, that feeling of not being a visitor. Suzie is a great hostess, she is BEYOND helpful with any questions you may have. The condo is equipped with everything you need to cook a few meals if you want to, but given that location it is so easy to walk around and be a part of it all.

When in Kona again, this is where we will stay and we will recommend to anyone we know headed to the big island. Thank you so much for a relaxing and comfortable stay!!

Quiet Kona Condo in Great Location
My wife and I spent three very relaxing weeks here. We found the condo to be very clean, well supplied, and in excellent condition. The location was perfect for us and was a few steps off Alli Drive in the center of Kona, yet situated in the center of the complex shielded from traffic noise. As others have noted, the complex has a very nice clean swimming pool that no one seems to use, so we had it all to ourselves. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai listening to the beautiful music from the church choir practicing nearby. We did not rent a car and were able to walk or ride the Kona Trolley to the beaches. Multiple excellent restaurants are just a few minutes away on foot, as well as two large supermarkets. The owner, Suzie, was very reponsive to a problem that we experienced when the dishwasher began to leak. She sent a repairman out the same day that we contacted her, and wound up replacing it with a new unit. The apartment has an HDMI compatible TV and we were able to use our chromecast to stream from the internet in addition to regular cable. The WiFi is very good here by the way. The condo had lots of nice extras like coffee and other condiments, pleanty of clean towels and lots of hangers in the closet. I highly recommend this condo.

Great Location
My wife and I had a perfect relaxing time. This condo was very clean, comfortable, well supplied, and in excellent condition. Leave your car in the garage and walk everywhere in Kona; with Alii Drive a few feet away you have your choice of restaurants, shopping. We will recommend this condo to all are friends and family on their way to paradise.
