Description of the Kailua-Kona vacation condo rental
We've updated this one-bedroom, two-bath condo with new carpet and furniture throughout, including a beautifully-restored wicker bedroom set with a new king-sized mattress of advanced foam technology, guaranteed to keep you comfortable all night long. We have added a new washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave, all smaller appliances, and the kitchen is outfitted with utensils, dishwasher, flatware and glassware needed to prepare home -cooked meals. All you need to add are the makings. Dine at the kitchen/living room bar, or do like most do and eat at the 6-place table on the large lanai. Your unit also includes widescreen, flat panel HD television, cable, DVD player, wifi internet service and free phone service to all states and Canada.

After using the new washer and dryer, an ironing board and iron have been provided. Also there is a hair dryer. The condo has its own parking space below in the garage under the condos. Kona Pacific has provided full-sized grocery carts to be shared by guests and residents. They are located in the parking garage adjacent to all four elevator doors. This convenient service comes in handy for carrying luggage, groceries and beach paraphernalia.

We are especially proud of the large lanai. It spans the entire width of the condominium with access from the living room and the bedroom. This is the first choice for dining, or just kicking back and relaxing. The view is of natural tropical trees and plants and a myriad of bird species. A watchful eye might even spot a mongoose scurrying along the lava rock wall below.

Kona Pacific has a pool with shallow end and BBQ's beside the pool for guest use.

Area Information
The condo is a block and a half down Alii Drive to the beginning of the Village and a mile to the end of the Village. Alii Drive is the main street for the Village. You can walk beside the lava rock wall and listen to the ocean or enjoy the numerous restaurants, shops, galleries, a farmers market and historical sites on Alii Drive. At the end of Alii Drive behind the Marriott King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel is a public beach named Kona Beach where you can rent all kinds of swimming or snorkeling equipment. This is a great beach for the beginning snorkeler to learn, the water is shallow and gentle or just lay in the sun. You can usually find parking if you want to drive.

Across the street from the condo is the Royal Kona Resort. You can purchase all sorts of excursions that the island has to offer. Also, you can attend a luau, dine in their restaurant or sit and enjoy your favorite beverage while watching the sunset. OR you may enjoy going to Hugo's next door, have your favorite beverage and pupu and run your feet through the sand.

I always recommend a day trip around the island. On the west is where you are staying in Kailua Kona, which is the most populated area. The Kona Coast in where the delicious Kona coffee is grown. In the south and southeast the most recent volcanic action has occurred. Kilauea volcano is still active. In the east is the city of Hilo, the county seat for Hawaii Island government. Also has more rain and is lush with tropical flowers and trees. This is also where most of the veggies, fruits and nuts are raised. To the north of the island is mostly grassland, in fact the second largest cattle ranch in the United States is located in this area near the city of Waimea.

Enjoy our beautiful island.
