Description of the Kailua-Kona vacation home rental
This large oceanview estate family home with of course a pool and jacuzzi has everything for the perfect time on the island. Enjoying the panoramic sunset view with a poolside BBQ ... this indeed is resort living.

A total of four bedrooms, three bedroom Main House + one bedroom separated 'Ohana' studio unit, (3746 square feet/348 square meters) in a home-style single home with a 180-degree panoramic view of the ocean.

This home has two kings, three doubles, and twelve single beds (or 5 doubles & 6 singles) for a total of 17 beds. Sleeping double in king & double beds give a maximum occupancy of 22.

Based on availability, we can also book the house right next door ('HND') with the same great ocean view and gives larger groups the flexibility of an additional 3 more bedrooms plus 2 baths just through the (normally locked) adjacent property gate. This would give large groups a total of 7 bedrooms, 7 baths, 20beds+, same great ocean view and full access to the Lako-side pool/jaccuzzi, etc.

Area Information
The Lako House property is in a quiet residential neighborhood on a 19,000 square-foot lot with many trees and very tall & thick greenery separating the nearest three neighbors' property to the east and the south. To the west (ocean view direction) and north, the property sits on top of a 30 foot high wall and overlooks the properties far below (no neighbors) and Lako Street to the north.

Walk, Drive or Transit to Shopping & Dining, Drive by car to nearest in-town shopping or dining is less than 5 minutes away, Downtown is 5-10 minutes away, The closest Beach (Kahalu'u Beach Park) is too far to walk to but is about 5 minutes by car, In the Kailua-Kona area (by car), the nearest beaches are along the road called Alii' Drive, Five nearby Golf Courses, ten others on the western side of the island, and another four in the Hilo area.

Bedroom #2 [the 'Big Room'; 536 sq ft]: One king (1-2 persons), two singles (2 persons), and two trundle beds that can be put together to make two double beds or four singles (1-4 persons). Desk/vanity and chair, ceiling fan, Lako Library / bookcase full of books. Private access to front yard, space for optional full-size bed and/or futon (1-3 more persons). Adjacent to common shower, basin, washer/dryer area.

Bedroom #3 ['Twin Room'; 209 sq ft]: Two single beds (2 persons). Ceiling fan, private access to side yard adjacent to backyard pool area. Main house bathrooms: All three full bathrooms have ceiling fans, hair dryers, shampoo, and hair conditioner. Fourth 'bathroom' in the main house is actually a separated shower and basin area (near bedroom #2) and WC for separate 'guest-use' located in the entry hall area.

'Ohana' unit (690 sq ft): Private access and separated unit with mini kitchen/dining, 1 king bed (1-2 persons), one sofabed/futon (1-2 persons), 1 trundle / two singles (1-2 persons), in-room closet, ceiling fans. Work desk, vanity with mirror, 32" TV with built-in DVD/VCR player, house phone, and available separately, access to: computer (Mac with Virtual PC software), DSL internet connection, and/or fax. Bathroom with tub, shower, basin, and WC.

More Features / Amenities: There are two sets of washer and dryers (inside and outside), Lanai (434 sq ft) with tables and chairs for seating >25 people (upon request) outdoor swimming pool with waterfall, jacuzzi. The back yard barbecue area has separate charcoal and two gas stations. Basketball hoop and ball (front car port area), electric gated property with full security alarm. View: Main house Master Bedroom, Living and Dining rooms face the ocean (West) with an unobstructed panoramic 130 degree ocean view from the Lanai. Second bedroom view is to the North (front yard) and the Third bedroom faces South (side yard). Ohana front entrance view looks out over the sideyard to the ocean.

Perfect Hawaiian Retreat!

This house could not have been better for our group. It is such a great space, open yet with private rooms and floors to accommodate our group of sixteen teenagers(eight boys and eight girls) with three adults.The view from the deck is amazing, and the way the house is set on the property gives the feeling that you are in your own private jungle. The house has a very comfortable feel, offering everything needed, less like a rental, more like home. We birded, played pool and ping pong, gathered papaya, made meals together, and enjoyed being in such a lovely location. The drive to Kona and groceries was simple with no traffic issues. Wonderful property that was only exceeded by the owner's thoughtful assistance and prompt attention to the needs of our group. Thank you so much.
