Feel the white sand between your toes, bask in the warm Hawaiian sun, dive into the crystal clear aqua waters, and be glad you've made the best choice... Pilipu Place! Located 30 yards from the best Beach in Hawaii, our two story Hale Kai offers the most luxurious and comfortable accommodation for the price!

Hale Kai features fine furnishings, including Koa wood cabinets, marble baths, hardwood floors, crown moldings, and antique fixtures. From the upstairs lanai, there is a gorgeous ocean view through the waving coconut fronds. The lower lanai hosts an intimate tropical setting. Fragrant trade winds keep the home cool year round. Situated on an acre of land, the lawn is large enough to practice your putting, play Croquet, set up a volley ball net, or just enjoy the open space.

The property is tropically landscaped with beautiful plumeria trees, red hibiscus bushes, orchids, and of course, a coconut grove.

Area Information
Kailua is the best kept secret in Hawaii. (so, don 't tell everybody about it, just your friends) There are no hotels here so few tourists or tour agents know about Kailua or the Oahu vacation rentals there. It is an upscale residential community. The beach in Kailua was voted the best beach in Hawaii. Kailua is 20 minutes from Honolulu and Waikiki Beach yet a world away. Those of us that have discovered it know it 's the best place to live. Waikiki is not really Hawaii it 's a tourist trap, stay in a vacation rental home in Kailua on Oahu, live with the people of Hawaii and enjoy the aloha, peace and tranquility that Hawaii has to offer.

Great place for the family...sitting out on the deck for breakfast, playing cards in the evening. After our wedding, some of the guests stayed a few extra days on Waikiki. They missed Kailua Beach so much, they contemplated taking a taxi back to the beach and spending the day. The house seems really hot at first, but as soon as you open all the windows/doors, it cools down very quickly from the trade winds. Good location close to the beach and good value.

Amazing House and Great Location

February 19, 2008

The beach here is absolutely beautiful and the house was just about 100 yards off the beach with direct access. The house is a very well kept older home with a lot of character. We couldn't have asked for more. It was about 25 minutes to Honolulu. Great to have a quiet spot to sit on the beach with a short drive to the city when you want it.

Outdated and worn out

March 15, 2007

The location was good, but that's about it. The furniture were worn out and seemed to be 15+ years old. The kitchen needs to be remodeled. Some of the furniture were worn out and/or torn. Hot and humid at night - no air conditioner. If we left the doors open, bugs got in the house.
