Description from owner

Step back in time and experience a peaceful, private Hawaiian lifestyle at this one of a kind beach house located on a million dollar beach front lot. This home has over 3,100 spacious square feet of living space. The 6 bedrooms surround the large courtyard with a private pool, creating a very unique layout.

Two of the 6 bedrooms are connected to the main living quarters while the rest have private locking doors leading from the room to the courtyard and then into the main portion of the home. This gives the ultimate indoor/outdoor living experience. Bedrooms 3 and 4 share a jack and jill bathroom while bedroom 5 boosts the largest space and where the dry sauna is located. The smallest of the rooms is bedroom 6 with a queen bed. This room can also be converted into an office space upon request for those looking for a private location in the home to work.

With 100 feet of your own private beach access and white sand in your backyard, paradise is found. Kailua Beach has been repeatedly ranked among the best beaches in the world. In 1998, it was ranked as the #1 beach in the United States by coastal expert Dr. Stephen Leatherman. Kailua Beach boasts 3 miles of white sand and sparkling turquoise water. Kailua Beach's proximity to several small islands makes it an ideal place for adventuring, kayaking, and kite surfing. Some guests have even encountered sea turtles swimming by.

About the area

Oahu - The Pacific island of Oahu, our personal favorite among the Hawaiian Islands, is where all of our Hawaiian vacation homes are located. You can drive the coast of the entire island in about two and a half hours. Most of the population is concentrated in Honolulu. A common misconception about Oahu is that if you stay on Oahu you will be staying in Honolulu (or a big city) and you won't be able to enjoy the "outer island experience." This couldn't be further from the truth. Oahu has more beautiful and secluded beaches than Maui and you can stay right on the beach in one of our homes. Nowhere else in Hawaii, or almost anywhere for that matter, can you enjoy a private home on a remote, tropical beach as little as twenty minutes from the world class restaurants, nightlife, shopping and entertainment of Honolulu. Island Activties - Every outdoor activity in the Hawaiian Islands can be found on Oahu. You can go sport fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing, windsurfing, horseback riding, hiking, bicycling and much more. Watch cliff diving and Polynesian cultural shows at Waimea Bay Park, visit the Polynesian Cultural Center, experience the world's largest maze at the Dole Pineapple Plantation, tour Pearl Harbor or just layout and unwind on the beach. Honolulu - Oahu is the only one of Hawaii's islands which enjoys the convenience of a beautiful and thriving modern city: Honolulu. Honolulu boasts more world-class entertainment, dining, shopping and nightlife than all of the other islands combined. Practically every outdoor activity imaginable takes place in and around this city. Waikiki, perhaps one of the world's most famous beaches, Hanauma Bay with its majestic coral reef, Pearl Harbor, where one of history's most famous battles took place, and the fortress-mountain of Diamond Head are only a few of the exciting locales situated in or in close proximity to this magnificent island city. Of course, relaxing peacefully on the beach or your lanai at any one of our homes, you would never realize that Honolulu shares the Island with you.

“Christmas in Paradise!!”

Reviewed 27 Jan 2016

We rented this beautiful house for 10 days over Christmas, it was an absolutely wonderful vacation in a perfect home!! Wanda was an absolute sweetheart, thank you for all the wonderful gifts when we arrived!! I requested a Christmas tree because we were celebrating Christmas in Hawaii. I had expected just a smaller artificial tree but to my surprise Wanda got us a beautiful real Christmas tree. Which was extra special because I didn't get a real tree at home for the first time in 32 years. There were 10 adults and 1 baby in our group and there was lots of room. We enjoyed the hot tub, BBQing on the patio, having lots of family dinners together. Some of the group used the kayak, and we had all the supplies we needed to go to the beach. The laundry facilities were perfect, and the kitchen was huge with everything we needed. It was within a short drive to everywhere and everything we needed for a perfect vacation. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Wanda for everything!,

“Awesome home”

We can't say enough about our wonderful experience with our family in Kailua and our stay at Kailua Beach House. The home was all that we expected and more. It is a lovely home and is the perfect place to have a family vacation. The pool was a huge hit and it was so nice being so close to the beach. The home is very beautifully decorated and it is very spacious and we really appreciated the air conditioning. The location is perfect and we enjoyed the more peaceful side of Oahu but it was still very convenient to all of the amenities. Our hosts were very accommodating and made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for a great vacation.

Owner's reply: Please come back again next year Shirley. You are always our ideal guests to have at our Estate

“Hawaiian family vaation”

My husband and I treated our grown children and 4 grandchildren to vacation with us on Oahu. Janet greeted us when we arrived. Love her! We had everything we needed: beach towels, linens, and tons of bath towels for everybody. We also rented the cottage on the property. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us. Each family had their privacy when needed and there was plenty of space for the grandchildren aged 7 and under to run around. It was wonderful to have the beach so close by. We will have our memories of this home.

“Eight days in Paradise”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2014

My experience in Kailua was fantastic. The property was amazing, clean, accessible, private and spacious enough for 12. The most beautiful beach and ocean view I've ever seen was at the backdoor, just beyond the lush yard and coconut trees. Perfect for my 88 year old mother and 19 month old granddaughter. Four generations of family enjoyed this amazing property. There were a couple of issues with intermittent power outages in parts of the house, and the water pressure in an upstairs bathroom was low. The front sprinklers get your car wet and make the driveway a little sloshy. Those things considered, it was still an absolute dream! There was plenty of space to cook, share meals and play in the yard, watch the sun rise over the ocean or set over the mountains. The openness of the house provided a great breeze along with the sounds of the waves. I could go on forever...suffice it to say, I loved the property and the community!

“Great escape house”

I am a high school teacher, finally graduating with my Master's from an Oahu school and decided to invite family from the mainland to come help us celebrate. The house is special. Not only does it have a welcome feel to it but it is a vacation in itself, with a nice pool, huge hot tub, several seating areas, gourmet kitchen and cool Hawaiian breezes. The only downside is that it is located on the corner of a busy street so there is some traffic noise, but it is very private, lots of greenery and high fences. Also the pull-out couches need either new mattresses or one of those roll-up pillow top cushions to throw over the old. The rest was perfect and oh so clean!!! Do yourself a favor and stay here. I feel renewed.
