“Relaxing stay. . Great inside and out”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2017

My family of five stayed in this home. We cooked on the grill while relaxing by the water watching the manatees. Plenty of space. Owners were super sweet and easy to work with during the stay

“So relaxing”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2016

Tropical Oasis was just what we hoped it would be and more. The home was spotless and so welcoming...especially outside. The owners went above and beyond to assure our stay was relaxing, even providing tips for places to eat, fish and enjoy the area. Can't wait to go back!

“Fabulous Vacation Property”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2015

From the moment we drove up to the house we were welcomed into this "Tropical Oasis". Debbie and Antoni were wonderful to deal with. They clearly are great at what they are doing. This property suited our every need. From a little beach time, to relaxing, to a perfect point to launch a day trip. This place is awesome. The property is very spacious with plenty of spots to call your own inside and out. Travelling as four adults we had no worries of being in anybody's private space. The outdoor cooking area is perfect for grilling up your fresh catch of the day, and the outdoor eating areas complimented the space. We enjoyed watching the manatee in the canal and spending evenings canal side listening to music and enjoying a glass of wine. Nearby are plenty of conveniences including groceries, fresh fruits and veggies and restaurants. There were also many places to book your fishing trip or evening cruise. We would definitely recommend this property and given the chance would go back again.

Owner's reply: Thanks to all four of you for choosing our second home as your destination for your very first keys experience, especially coming all the way from Nova Scotia. Your compliments upon arrival and during your stay were greatly appreciated. Our life size pirate statue still has a grin on his face!! We hope to welcome you back again.

“Wonderful Winter Get-Away”

Reviewed 29 Mar 2015

My husband and I stayed in Tropical Oasis for the month of February 2015. When I read a review, I search for details, so that is what I am going to give to you. Look at the pictures. The owners did a great job showing you what you will be getting. The LR, bar area, DR, and kitchen areas are spacious enough for everyone to spread out. Having an extra sink in the bar area is a plus. The bathrooms are roomy enough, with counter space and storage. Bedrooms 2 & 3 are fairly small, but comfortable. There are plenty of AC units and ceiling fans throughout. Not all the windows open to let in a breeze, so AC was necessary at times. The front door opens onto a screened porch, which we could leave open on beautiful days. There is a large window in the LR facing the outdoor living room and canal. The owners have a beautiful boat there that blocks some of the view, but it also gave us some privacy, which we liked. We wished we could have had a ride in that boat! We did not have dockage permission in our contract. If you plan to have a boat at this location, check with the owners first. There are boat ramps close by. There are not enough words to describe how much we enjoyed the outdoor living areas and gardens - especially in February! We found the morning sun on the side of the house and soaked up as many rays as possible. The canal-front living room offers TV, music and comfortable furniture. There are several dining and sitting areas to choose from. The gardens and fountain were beautiful and relaxing. They are lit at night to allow full use of all of the space. We used the charcoal grill as often as possible. The outdoor areas of this house were the most beautiful we saw in the neighborhood. We did not have any luck fishing in the canal, but we had fun seeing the manatees. We really wished we had a kayak to go exploring around the canals and beach. There is a beautiful beach area a short walk away. There is only a small area for swimming that is not covered with sea grass, but it's enough to cool off. Wear water shoes due to sharp pebbles. Quite a few people pull their kayaks or small boats up on this beach. The other waterfront area in the neighborhood with the gazebo is where to go for beautiful sunsets. The only thing we were missing at this house was a double kayak or small boat, which we do not own. It was hard on me not being able to get out on the water. Thank you, Deborah and Felipe, for the use of your home. We'll see you next February.

“Another great March In Key Largo”

Reviewed 28 Mar 2015

Just as last year our stay began with Debbie and Felipe meeting us at the house where they showed us some of the changes they made since our last visit. They made sure everything was spotless and we were comfortable. There is much to enjoy in this piece of "paradise". We love the way the house is decorated and we really enjoy spending our time in the outdoor family room on the canal or in one of the Tiki Huts. There are a wide array of nearby restaurants offering outstanding meals. We would highly recommend this Tropical Oasis to anyone. Sadly, it's almost time to begin our trip home.

Owner's reply: Bob and Linda, We were very excited to welcome you back as our guests this year and to see that you appreciated some of the improvements we made since your last visit. Your winter getaway here in our second home welcomes you back anytime!

“Wonderful Month in Key Largo”

Reviewed 9 Jan 2015

It had been several years since we've been in the Keys, and my family and I decided it would be nice to spend Christmas this year. It was absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough positive things about Deborah and the property. The outdoor space is breathtaking. It was so pleasant to spend the mornings on the deck in "tequilaville" having coffee and watching the manatees play in the canal. The lights in the garden and fountain at night were superb. And, the house is very very comfortable. The decor is caribbean/keys, and perfect for the area. Deborah is a joy to deal with. She kept me very informed as we went through the rental process, and even personally met me at the property for check in and to give me the grand tour. There is so much in the area. A farmers market/flea market is within short walking distance; Pennekamp State Park is nearby; and there are numerous restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect Keys experience. I've been home for over a week, and I miss Key Largo already.

Owner's reply: Steve thank you so much for your wonderful review. You were a joy to deal with as well and we loved receiving all your updates during your stay. Especially enjoyed receiving photos of the new orchids blooming in the garden and to know how much you appreciated them. We were thrilled that your family enjoyed your Christmas vacation together in our home and we would welcome you back anytime!

“Tropical Oasis a true delight!”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2013

I can't say enough about the owners Deborah and Felippe! From the beginning Deborah was quick to return emails and calls, very organized, and accommodating. Everything went very smoothly. When we were late to meet them at the property due to delayed flights, they were understanding and always pleasant, and we were welcomed with a homemade cake! The home is immaculate, charmingly decorated and comfortable. Amenities were as advertised. The community beach is pleasant, and we met 3 manatees in the canal! The location is close to John Pennecamp Park and other snorkeling and scuba parks. We had a great time, and look forward to returning--not only to rent the property, but to see Deborah and Felippe!

Owner's reply: Thank you for the lovely review and compliments! From our very first communication, dealing with you and your lovely family has been a delight. We were truly happy to share our second home with you and would love to welcome you back anytime!!

“Tropical Oasis”

Reviewed 28 Mar 2013

Deborah and Felipe's second home proved to be a very comfortable place to relax, entertain and enjoy life. It was central to shopping, restaurants, cultural and sport activities. A beach area and sunset wharf were nearby. The tile floors were easy to keep clean. Plenty of towels, bedding and storage areas were readily available. The kitchen and dining area were well stocked with dishes, cooking, baking and serving items. The bar area was very unique and useful with a fridge, sink and plenty of counter space to spread out maps and papers. Deborah's comfortable furniture and creative décor in the living room were a highlight. The lanai, back porch, upper deck and yard with beautifully tended gardens and magical lighting were used every day as a gathering place as well as an escape into a fantasyland. Manatees, various fish and birds visited us on a regular basis. Deborah was prompt in her reply to questions by phone and email. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to others seeking a "tropical oasis".

Owner's reply: We are happy to have had you both as our guests and to know that you enjoyed the outside as much as the inside of our private retreat. Lyndi, I especially enjoyed receiving your regular e mail updates of the newest flowers blooming in our gardens. Sorry that the internet was a bit unpredictable but have used that as the opportunity to have the cable company come in and rewire all connections. Our neighbors all commented on what lovely people you both were and I understand that you have formed quite a bridge group there at the local library across the street. We welcome the opportunity to have you as our guests again anytime in the future.
