Description of the Key Largo vacation home rental
Upstairs of Waterfront Home is yours. Two queen beds, Bath & Shower. House is located in quiet boating community. Sleeps four in bedrooms but could possibly accommodate more. Very clean, like new.

Spectacular sunsets from your house on the water. The tarpon basin has lots of fish and is a Manatee gathering site. Odds are in your favor that you'll see manatees relaxing here & see gamefish well over 3 feet long breaking the surface.

A great place to get your Kayak, canoe or Paddleboard wet. Its a short paddle to Florida Bay for a swim or to watch the sunset. Or make your way to the Everglades National Park boundary to fish and view wildlife.

Remember, the Florida Keys is the Fishing Capital of the World. This Key Largo home gives you access to both offshore and backcountry areas. Pick your target species and go after your trophy. Fishing dreams really do come true here. We have hooked tarpon, snapper, grouper, snook, barracuda and more right from the dock onsite.

Beautiful private kitchen with granite counter tops, wood cabinets, oven/cooktop, microwave, fridge/freezer. Air Conditioning. Free Parking right in front.

Be careful, you might fall in love with this lifestyle.

Area Information
Quiet boating community surrounded by access to the water. Lush tropical foliage decorates the neighborhood where great herons and iguanas perch on docks and in the mangroves. Restaurants and bars are close by but far enough to offer you peace and quiet day & night. Wide range of choices in diving and snorkeling from reefs to wrecks, shallow and deep sites, coral beds, sponges, lots of fish and other marine creatures. My wife and I went for a sunset snorkel and two elegant manta rays came to join, circling us once slowly before cruising on. Fish from bridges from the shore, wading or from boats. Bonefish are one of my favorite fish to go after with light spinning tackle and some fresh shrimp. Hold on tight!

I grew up with forest in my backyard and waterways nearby, so I have always loved nature and the outdoors. One of my favorite things to do is sit near the clear water and look for fish and other animals. I don't fish as much as I used to, but my trophies include a 533 pound Blue Marlin as well as many...

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the most fun things to do at your vacation rental?
A: Swimming in the Florida Bay and soaking up some sun. Fishing, scuba/snorkeling, kayaking, bird-watching and watching sunsets. Walk or boat to a nearby spot for some food or night life. Gazing into the water and at the stars on clear nights.
Q: What makes your vacation rental special?
A: You have a large area between the house and the dock to lounge and play. There are lights out back and underwater lights for viewing marine life at night. The lake behind the house is full of a variety of fish and manatees can often be seen relaxing here. Ospreys, bald eagles & herons hunt in the basin and frequently fly away with lunch. It's a quiet getaway, except for an occasional chirp or three from the local geckos some evenings. Had dolphins at our dock to kick off 2014.
Q: What's the coolest nearby activity?
A: Scuba diving at night is one of my favorites, especially when the coral are spawning. Watching the sunrise on our way out to the Atlantic to fish or dive. Enjoying the sunset with some seafood appetizers and cool drinks. We also like to go to dance (and watch others dance) to live music at the local hot-spots and at the Full moon parties. I like to paddle-board to nearby mangrove isles and explore their small inlets which larger boats don't have access too.
Q: Does the property offer a pool?
A: No, there is no freshwater pool on the property. There is water everywhere down here, so you should be able to get wet without to much trouble. Just wear life vests when in or near the water.
Q: Can we swim there with the manatees?
A: Absolutely not! It is against the law to approach or bother the manatees in any way. Do not be tempted to feed them either. Just enjoy their behavior and take pictures from the dock.
Q: Is there WIFI, music, TV or cable at the unit?
A: There is Hi-Speed WIFI, a CD player with I-pod dock, dvd player with the TV, but no local channels or cable. You can rent movies from Publix grocery store for a couple of bucks. I try to leave a selection of DVD's & CD's with various types of entertainment.
Q: Do we need fishing licenses to fish in the Keys?
A: There are various licenses required for different types of fishing & harvesting of local marine animals. Check on line for more info or talk to a local bait shop owner & they should be able to hook you up depending on your particular needs. Learn the regulations and rules involved before you venture out & abide by them please.
