“Birthday celebration”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2018

We enjoyed our Key Kargo stay. Our daughter and son in law joined us. Everything on site made for a good vacation. We were lucky to have good weather for snorkeling on the reef. Only request would be to have more plates and cutlery. We like to cook and found ourselves washing dishes a lot. Did not want to run dishwasher for just a few dishes. It appears that the Keys have a lot of cleanup from the fall hurricane ahead Key Largo was lucky. The devastation further south was heartbreaking. Sincerely. Jennell

“Alamar on the Bay”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2016

we were very pleased with our stay at Alamar. We actually were the only ones on the property that weekend. It was quiet and very tranquil. I recommend this hidden little gem. We brought our two dogs and on Saturday rode down to the Islandmorada Fish house resturant, which was dog friendly.

“Nice dog friendly cottage”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2016

Cottage was clean and comfortable. While not on the water, it was a short walk to the dock. Enjoyed kayaking with our 2 dogs and relaxing on the patio. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to hurricane Matthew. Also a plus was that the other 2 houses on the property were vacant so we had choice of kayaks and had the dock to ourselves and didn't have to worry about dogs bothering anyone.

“A hidden treasure”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2016

Alamar was the finishing touch to the perfect vacation. While there was so much to do in the keys. My family and I agree some of our favorite memories were made back at the house. My husband and I enjoyed the mornings sipping our coffee on the dock enjoying the schools of fish swimming by. One morning we were pleasantly surprised with a visit by manatees. The mom and her calf were the highlight of our stay. Our girls loved all the new interesting creatures of the land and sea. From all the butterflies that frequented the gardens that Martha planted, the multitude of fish starfish and conch inhabiting the dock area to the light show at night with a star lit sky above to the luminescent displays of marine life below. I can't say enough about our stay. Having such a great place to share and educate our girls about all the strange and beautiful wonders of our oceans. Thank you Martha and Al for sharing your home with us.

“Paradise”

Reviewed 29 May 2016

Comfortable and cozy cottage for a laid back stay in Paradise. We loved everything about it. Seeing manatees off the dock, grilling fish for dinner, morning coffee beside the sea, kayaking: a perfect Keys stay. Location is great as you can easily access the rest of the Keys or quickly get back to Miami when it is time to leave. The only thing wrong was that our stay was too short. We will come back for a longer visit soon!

“Great Place!”

The only thing I would change is the stairway up to the front door. I would put a gate on that side. It would be much more convienient for your pets to let them out and they could go right down in the yard.

“Nice Little Cottage”

Very nice cozy cottage. We enjoyed kayaking with the kayaks provided. We cooked our own meals using the kitchen items that were available. Comfy bed and nice shower.

“Awesome island home hidden in plain sight”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2015

Alamar is a terrific place to stay and enjoy all the best Key Largo gas to offer. We enjoyed the clear warm water of the Bayside every day of our stay from the luxury of our private dock. Even though the house is hidden from the bustle of US1, everything you need is close. You can even take a complimentary kayak to a perfect restaurant close by. What can be more relaxing? We will definitely come back!

“Perfect Getaway”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2015

The description and pictures accurately portrayed the cottage. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of Alamar. This is the perfect destination to take a family.

“Best rental in the keys”

Words do not do Almar justice. We had a great week a wonderful home away from home and met two of the nicest people on the planet Al and Martha.
