Description from manager

Unit: Koa Resort 5i 3BR Town Home | Maui Guidebook

Summary

Koa Resort is a collection of townhomes a short walk from the beach on north-central Kihei. Quiet grounds and a wonderful pool. This unit is in the part of the complex close to the ocean.

Beaches Across the Street

There are two beaches across the street that are both off the radar of most tourists. Waipu’ilani Beach is a long white sand and coral beach protected by reef. Kalepolepo Beach Park, to the north is uncrowded and is the site for the recently upgraded Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary learning center. It is also home to culturally significant and the most accessible ancient Hawaiian fishpond in Maui. Both are great beaches of convenience for when you want to escape touristy crowds, have dinner or drinks while you witch the sunset, or strike up a down-to-earth conversation with a local family.

About the area

Location One reason the price stays in line is that the location isn’t sitting inside one of the posh resort areas in Wailea – but folks who’ve been to Maui know that actually matters very little because Maui is very small. You can be at any part of South Maui from here within minutes. All beaches in Maui are public, so in ten minutes you can be sitting at the same beach Paris Hilton lounges on (that would be Wailea Beach, by the way) but without the “on Wailea Beach” price tag. There are also several beaches within walking distance, including a small, pretty beach right across the street. Kalepolepo Beach Park across the street. The beach across the street, Kalepolepo Beach Park, is uncrowded and totally under the radar of most tourists. It is a perfect place to watch the whales in season – in fact it is the site for the recently upgraded Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary learning center. It is also home to culturally significant and the most accessible ancient Hawaiian fishpond in Maui. This is a great beach to escape touristy crowds, have dinner or drinks while you witch the sunset, or strike up a down-to-earth conversation with a local family.
