Description from owner

If you are looking for a meticulously maintained, 1960's Hawaiian Cottage, with all the uniqueness that only the 60's have given us, this Beachfront Home is the Best!

(We would like to mention, this house sleeps 6 guests, but if you have a larger family or group of friends, we have a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, beachfront home right next door. This home sleeps 10 guests which, when renting both homes, you may sleep 16 guests!)

The cottage is reminiscent of the feel and look of Old Hawaii.

Many of these older homes have been torn down to make way for new construction, so this is a real treasure.

We have upgraded many item in the home, energy efficient windows and doors, but yet we have not change the original structure and make up of the home.

There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large great room with vaulted ceilings and lots of windows. All of the appliances are upgraded and Quartz countertops were installed 8 months ago. New tile flooring is also less than a year old.

There is a large Lanai that faces the lawn area and the ocean. On the Lanai, are very comfortable chairs and a patio table that seats 6. There is also a large, propane Webber BBQ. An outside shower makes for a great spot for hosing off the sand and taking a refreshing shower.

Walk across the beautiful lawn area and find the white sandy beach, with miles of rolling ocean waves and incredible sunsets. The ocean is fairly shallow in this area, great spot for small children.

We are located in a local neighborhood, so there are very few tourist that frequent this beach. You are more likely to meet a local fisherman or two. Take the time to talk with them, they have very interesting stories to tell.

The house sets behind a hand crafted Lava Rock wall. We had this built for a few reasons that we felt important to our guests. The privacy is wonderful and the feeling of living with the Lava, that our Islands are made of. It's a special feeling.

The yard has over 40+ Palm trees and a 100+ year old Banyan Tree. The children love climbing in this tree. Please take the time to get a family photo in the tree, it's perfect!

We would like to mention that the owner maintains, waters, mows the lawn area, although it is State Land. This is not uncommon with Island homes. This is the States way of protecting the beach and land for all to enjoy, forever.
