Everything you've dreamt of for your Maui Vacation is here. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE ARE A LEGAL VACATION RENTAL PROPERTY. There are very few homes that can be legally rented out for short term vacations and those they cannot be are being shut down. Keep this in mind when selecting your rental!

Our large estate home is nestled on the desirable sunny south shore of Maui. And, it's right on the beach! This lovely traditional hawaiian home was custom built for a prominent local family in 1946 and has been fully restored yet retains all its original charm.

This meticulously restored home is nestled on a large lot, adjoining a beautiful beach reserve which is an ideal place for children to safely play. The golden sandy beach has small waves making it a perfect family beach. Ideal for snorkeling, swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, long walks or, simply to watch the sun set with a glass of wine.

The private pool is located off the living and dining area on the ocean facing lanai. There is a gas BBQ and outdoor shower just off the side kitchen entrance, ideal for rinsing off after an afternoon at the beach. A second covered lanai overlooks the lush back garden is the perfect place to relax and read a book.

The home features four spacious bedrooms each with a private ensuite.

Bedroom 1/Oceanview Bedroom: California King Bed with full attached bathroom.

Bedroom 2/Gardenview Bedroom: Two twin beds with a full attached bathroom. **Please note that effective September 2016, this second bedroom will have a King bed rather than two Twin sized beds**

Bedroom 3 (Loft): One twin bed and a double are in a loft bedroom off Bedroom 2. Ideal for children. They share the bathroom with bedroom 2.

Bedroom 4/Main floor Bedroom: Two Queen Beds with full attached bathroom.

*Please note that accommodating 11 people is under the assumption that the party is a mix of adults and children based on size of beds in the loft and the necessity to share some sleeping spaces*

Located in popular Kihei Town, you are within walking distance of parks, restaurants, shopping, as well as tennis and basketball courts.

Area Information
Our home is the perfect mix of both central location with easy walking access to most amenities but also removed from the crowds in a peaceful and private location. Better yet, it's right on a sandy beach! There is also a nearly three acre green space separating the house from the ocean. This is an ideal space for children to safely run and play. The house itself was built for a prominent Maui family back in the late 1940's. While being fully renovated, it's footprint and interior layout remain true to when it was built thus keeping it's 40's beach house charm intact.

OUR HOUSE IS A LEGAL VACATION RENTAL PROPERTY. It is located on property zoned A-1 Apartment District. When a property is zoned A-1, has received building permits and was built prior to 1989, there is no restriction on the length of occupancies that can be accepted. Therefore, vacation and short-term transient rentals are entirely legal. In the case of our property, it was built in 1946 for Joseph Tam Sing and family. A link to the county ordinance pertaining to this has been attached.

Important to note: The County of Maui has begun to aggressively shut down illegal vacation rentals. Without fitting the criteria of County of Maui Ordinance No 4167 Bill No 75 (2014) or having a short term rental license, a property cannot be legally rented.
