“Coziest Cottage in the Country”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2016

My family including our dog had the best getaway ever! This property is very clean and comfortable and spacious. Julie was great to work with and allowed us to bring our dog which I very much appreciate! We had a relaxing time and the location is beautiful, I wish we could have stayed longer! Really close to Nashville and the weather was perfect! Loved to get up in the morning and sit outside. Our stay was just perfect, we had a very memorable vacation, thank you! I would highly recommend staying here, you won't want to leave!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much! I hope you guys can come back and stay longer. Carol was a great guest, great at communicating and respectful of property. We hope to see her again!

“Can't wait to come back!”

What a perfect, quiet getaway. Everything was perfect, the house was so nice and the setting was lovely. Mound Bottom and Canoeing nearby is great for nature lovers! It was a bit of a drive to Nashville, but not bad and well worth it, compared to what we would have paid in Nashville. We just loved it! We'll be back!

Owner's reply: We so appreciate Sarahs kind words. She was so easy to work with and treated our cottage as if it was her own. We look forward to the next visit! Thanks so much.:)

“Country Heaven on Earth”

This charming, country cottage was a wonderful retreat for us to reconnect with our adult kids and enjoy one of our favorite vacation spots. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, silverware and glassware. We enjoyed drinks under the gazebo and beautiful sunset views. We loved having our breakfast every morning on the sun porch. We had the pleasure of meeting Julie and some of her family and they were all so friendly and welcoming! Any questions you may have about Nashville and surrounding areas can be answered by Julie. She has some great restaurant tips! We were so thankful that we could bring our son's dog with us! He loved running around the property with lots of room to play! We loved the remote setting of the cottage with downtown Nashville just a short 30 minute drive away. We definitely would love to vacation here again in the future!

Owner's reply: The more I do this, the more I am amazed at the caliber of clientele we have stay in our sweet cottage! The Moore family was an absoulute delight, they loved being at The Cottage in the Country, and I loved that. They were so sweet and even invited us over to an AMAZING dinner prepared by their talented son. I would encourage anyone to welcome them into their home and consider themselves blessed! Thanks, Moore family! Hope to see you (and your doggie) again. Best to you, Julie

“Great Family Retreat”

This location was the perfect place for all of our family to gather. Beautiful, peaceful setting with a great layout!! We enjoyed the 2 living areas and the sunroom/laundry room provided another sitting area as well. The gazebo and the firepit was an added feature conducive to entertaining people. Overall a great, peaceful place to enjoy our vacation!!

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review! Terri was delightful to deal with from the start, so pleasant! Even though there was rain, the family made the best of it and hung out under the gazebo. They were excellent guests and left our cottage in excellent condition.

“Cozy retreat away from it all”

My husband and I stayed at this property for a week at the beginning of hockey season so that we could attend Predators games and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We brought our senior German shepherd and were able to spend quality time with him outside playing fetch. We enjoyed the gazebo and firepit on the cool nights and the house was very comfortable. Julie was extremely friendly and fast to answer any questions we had. We've been going to Nashville for years and have grown to love the city and surrounding areas. Kingston Springs is a very pretty area and we loved being away from it all, but close enough that it was easy getting anywhere we wanted to go.

“See real country life around Nashville”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2014

Julie is an amazing hostess and will make sure all of your needs are met and questions answered. We had the best barbecue we had ever had the first night. This is a beautiful setting just 30 minutes to downtown. House has been redone with charm, comfort and lovely touches. I was allergic to the country(lol) and had to reduce the number of nights. Julie was gracious and reasonable over a difficult situation. The west side of Nashville really gives a slice of the country life you will love.

Owner's reply: Becky and her family were as sweet as they could be. We loved having them, even though it was brief. They are welcome anytime, even if it's just to come out and pet the horses!

“Cozy Country!”

We couldn't have asked for a nicer place! Comfy and away from the city but close enough to go spend the day in Nashville after a day on the river kayaking.. camp fire.. beautiful sunsets.. owner took care of all our needs. Owner Julie was a great host! Will be going back and will recommend to the rest of my family and friends! Area great for bikers, hikers, and kayaking. My family all met up there.

Owner's reply: I really appreciate this kind review. I certainly couldn't have asked for better guests. We got to share an evening under the gazebo and listen to music, shared stories, etc. What a great family of sisters!
