One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: The garden is on the other side of the road from the house, across a busy road and care should be taken. Note: There is a drop from the lawn onto the sand and again care should be taken. Note: Swimming is not advised from the garden; Dhoon Bay, a popular local swimming beach, is about 10 minutes walk from the house. Note: There can be shooting in the local area during the months of October, November, December and January. Note: Max 6 adults.

Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: The historic and picturesque town of Kirkcudbright sits on the banks of the tidal waters of the River Dee, on the north Solway shore. Established as a Royal burgh in 1455, giving it status to trade with ports outside Scotland, Kirkcudbright has always been supported by a busy fishing trade and is home to a blue flag marina.
