A superb apartment in Staffield Hall, sleeping 2 people in 1 bedroomStaffield Hall is located between the pretty villages of Kirkoswald and Armathwaite in the northern Eden Valley, an area of peace and tranquillity. Within a short drive are the market towns of Carlisle and Penrith, Ullswater the northern most lake, Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders. Garden of Eden is part of a historic Staffield Hall retains it's period features in Kirkoswold near Penrith. This one bedroom apartment has a spa bathroom and power shower, sleeping 2 people. The apartment also contains a kitchen, lounger/diner and use of the shared grounds. Outside there is private off road parking. Garden of Eden is an ideal choice for a romantic holiday in a fabulous part of the Lake District.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Kirkoswald is situated in the Eden Valley and is ideally placed for exploring the Lake District and the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Kirkoswald has two excellent pubs, both serving fine quality food, a 12th century church and a shop and Post Office. The River Eden runs nearby and the area is renowned for its superb trout and salmon fishing alonside other outdoor pursuits. There are literally miles of glorious paths following the river's course, with welcoming spots for riverside picnics and sightseeing. Expect caves and gorges, and look out for the ten unusual benchmark sculptures along the way. The Eden Gorge, between Lazonby and Armathwaite, is one of Cumbria's best-kept secrets, and is well worth exploring, plus the local railway station is a stop on the Settle-Carlisle Railway, which is one of the most beautiful railway journeys in Britain. Brougham Castle, Long Meg and her daughters (the 3rd largest stone circle in England).
