4 miles to the entrance to Animal Kingdom, 15 minutes to Downtown Disney in the evening. Located in a beautifully landscaped, gated resort community literally steps away from thousands of restaurants and attractions; outside Disney on the 192 or West Irlo Bronson Highway at Marker 5. A car will be needed as it's a 20 minute walk to the nearest restaurant from the home, but the home is 4 miles to the entrance of Disney's Animal Kingdom. Around the corner can be found every type of food: Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Denny's and literally every national food chain one after the other from there. Winn Dixie and Publix grocery stores are very close to the home. Finer dining can be found within the Disney system or as close as Downtown Disney, only 15 minutes from the home.

The Bostonian Spring Breal 2016

March 30, 2016

This year for Spring Break, we were looking to get together as a family locally due to the kids being out of school but my husband and I needing to work part of the week. We had originally booked a different property through another company and were alerted 2 days before check in date that due to a burst pipe and water damage we weren't able to use it. We scrambled looking for another property and came across the Bostonian at almost 7 pm. Due to time constraints I contacted David, the Owner by phone and although he happened to be in the car with his kids, he assured me he'd get back to me later that night and he did. Due to this being last season and last minute, the home was priced a little higher than we would have wanted but David was more than gracious and we was able to make adjustments in order for It to work out. Our conversations on the phone with him were very pleasant and he made me feel as if there was anything at all that we needed, we may contact him or the property manager and it would be taken care of. The process of getting through the emerald island gate and having to register the cars for key cards was a little tedious but just a one time deal per car so no biggie. The home is large and beautiful, & rooms which include 2 masters with king beds, 2 with queen beds, 2 with double beds and 1 with 2 sets of bunk beds which our kids LOVED. Each room either has its own bathroom or shares one, 6 total. Kitchen is big with enough counter space and every appliance, gadget, pans that you can think of. Pool area is beautiful and screened. We had an issue with the heater not being turned on the first day but as soon as we reported this, it was taken car of. There is a theater room with a large screen and surround and our kids enjoyed watching countless movies while winding down at nights. Then there is the garage play room which we spent many hours in, with foosball, pool table and air hockey. Check in and check out process was easy. All in all we were extremely happy with the 4 days we stayed there and created many great memories. David was more than generous and helpful and very quick to reply to emails. We will definitely consider this home for a future 11 person family staycation and recommend it to anyone.

beautiful home had everything only suggestion would be to have a cordless phone because we were always outside and did not always hear the phone. Would definitely stay again with if we had a large group. If we ever have to scale down to something smaller we will have a hard time after being spoiled with so much space. A wonderful holiday had by all. Thanks again

Owner Supplied Testimonials

I just needed to comment on our stay at the Bostonian vacation home. We contacted the owner (David) about renting this property a year in advance of our daughter's destination wedding. (Disney World was her first choice, but this came in a close second.) David was very helpful and also very accommodating in allowing us to preview the home in person. We knew then we were making the right choice. The home appears to be labor of love and a continuing work in progress. There is plenty of room, everything you need to cook the perfect meal for a large family and lots of personal touches that you would not expect in a rental home. The kids were so excited, they had a tough time choosing between the cinema room or the sizeable game room. The pool and lanai were picture perfect and a great place to hold our daughter's wedding reception for 40 people! Thanks David and Jenny for sharing your beautiful home with us and helping to make this special day a wonderful memory. The Bride and Groom also want to thank you for all you did to make the day memorable.

We recently spent two weeks in David's house with our two married children and four grandchildren. We loved the house and the location and would highly recommend it to anyone.

There was a bit of a glitch in the check in process but the management company and David was quick to resolve the issue and Management company was easy to find and VERY close to Emerald Island.
The house is in a great location to all the attractions we wanted to see while on vacation. Our whole group was delighted with the pool and theater room! Game room became pretty hot in the 90 degree weather, but it did not stop the kids from enjoying it! The fans in there certainly helped!
BTW...Hot Tub controls are outside by shower and pool controls are inside by back door...just an FYI for anyone else planning on renting this great home! Plenty of cutlery, plates, cups and cooking gear in the kitchen...and the coffee pot was PERFECT :) The free wifi was appreciated as will find pw UNDER the router...took me two day's to find it! LOL!
My husband is a bit of a clean freak and as we were there for 10 day's he was happy to see there was broom and mop for quick clean ups!
David was great to deal with and I would not hesitate to rent from him again! Thanks again David!

I was writing to let you know how totally satisfied we were with our rental home through Villa Direct. The check in process was so easy and the location of the home was exactly what we expected. The "BOSTONIAN" did not disappoint in any way. The home is lovely, clean and a wonderful layout. We had a small family reunion (surprise party for grandpa's 70th). Having the downstairs bed room for our older parents was perfect and all the other guests were thrilled with the beautiful bedrooms and adjacent bathrooms. The best parts were of course the POOL and the Media room. Both were perfect spots for multi generational family to relax and play after fun at Disney World. If the need arises again for a rental home in Orlando, we will not hesitate to call VillaDirect and request the "BOSTONIAN".

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What sort of fun things are there to do?
A: The pool area with spa and 18" child's wading pool are great. The games room and movie theater too! I regularly stock the home with board games, card games and other materials like books and DVD's.
Q: Are there enough towels and linens?
A: The home is required to have 32 bath towels, hand towels and washcloths! Also, I routinely stock the home with very large beach towels from Costco. I use an upgraded towel for the home from Costco as wellwhat you would buy for your own home!
Q: Is the kitchen well stocked?
A: Let's put it this way. I will routinely be at a store and grab something I think will be great for the kitchen. I will also randomly call guests and ask them if there's anything missing in the kitchen they think would be helpful during their stay, or upgrades they think would enhance the home. So I'm constantly putting things in the home, as do guests who will buy something for a recipe and leave it there.
Q: What items do I need to buy at the store?
A: Really everything as licensing will not allow us to leave things in the home and it's really impossible to keep the home stocked with consummables. So you will need dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags for bathrooms, kitchen bags for garbage. Also don't forget your condiments or seasonings like sugar, salt, pepper and other things you take for granted at home.
Q: Is there a grill?
A: Yes there is a grill and I make sure there is a starter tank of propane for all rentals that run through me personally.
Q: How far is the home from Disney?
A: It's about 15 minutes door to door to Animal Kingdom considering lights and traffic. I think that's only about 4 miles though. Can you walk anywhere? I wouldn't suggest even walking to the Emerald Island Clubhouse. It's usually hot in FL and can start raining at a moment's notice too.
