“Beautiful home on the water”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2017

We are from Indiana and had never been around the Maine area before so our family went and spent the week from 7/1/17-7/7/17. We flew into Logan Airport (downtown Boston) which was only about an hour drive to the house which was great. We were pleasantly surprised on how nice the house was, it was updated and very modern with all state of the art furniture, appliances, etc. The master bedroom (there is not a picture shown on the website) was phenomenal. It is a King size bed with a beautiful view to the water. The master bedroom bathroom is something I have never seen before. The shower had several different shower heads coming at you which was wonderful. The toilet is a "smart toilet" which I had never encountered one before and it was strange at first but you definitely get use to the heated seat. Also in the master bedroom was a fabulous massage chair. There are three levels to the home, each level showing a beautiful picturesque view of the water, 2 of the 3 levels have doors that open to decks with a great view. The main level has a deck with an amazing outside kitchen with grill, table with 4 chairs for eating and a sectional couch. This is where we spent alot of our time. We grilled out several nights and ate out on the deck. It was absolutely fabulous. The modern kitchen has state of the art appliances and also cookware. It is only just a few minute drive to Portsmouth New Hampshire which we went and took a harbour boat tour and that was amazing. I highly recommend doing that. We also went to a little town called Dover New Hampshire and walked around the town and that place was also beautiful and just a quaint little town. We also went and took a tour of Fenway Park which was great. We also shopped at a marketplace downtown Boston called "Faneuil Marketplace" which has hundreds of shopping and eating places. We ate at the "Cheers" restaurant which was great. Overall, our experience was excellent. If I had to critique something it would be that on the website it shows there is a pull out sofa bed, there is not. There is just a normal couch but they do have air mattresses available for your use. Also, the ocean water is absolutely freezing but we still did go to two beaches, York Beach and Old Orchard Beach. I would recommend Old Orchard, it has the white sand and it has shopping and eating available on the beach and the water was a bit warmer than York Beach. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this house, especially for the price. I researched hundreds of houses on the beach and this was by far the most reasonable that I found and well worth every penny. Thank you, Kelly Hall

Owner's reply: Thank you Kelly for staying with us. I am happy you had such a pleasant time at the house and in the area. I look forward to staying in touch and safe travels! Robert

“Family trip”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2016

Convenient location close to Portsmouth, Wells, Kittery and Newburyport. Owner is very nice and answered questions. Booking was convenient. Location was a bit hard to locate on maps during trip planning, but easily found when we used GPS. Place is clean and cool with 3 floors, all with views, outdoor patio, kitchen/ living room and 1 1/2 baths, all built above a boat storage area. Access is from driveway to middle floor and spiral staircase to upper/ lower level. We loved the way the newly renovated house is set up; contemporary style with all modern appliances, large bedroom with comfortable king sized bed on lower floor, kitchen and living space on middle floor with patio that provides outdoor furniture, grill and a dining/sitting area. Upper floor has gas fireplace (available soon), two couches and chair and floor space that could be used for additional sleep space. Owner provided blow up double bed. Full bathroom on lower floor has large modern shower, two sinks and jacuzzi (available soon). 1/2 bath on middle floor. Outdoor setting is beautiful with private beach/yard with view of river. Basic necessities were provided like dish detergent, sponges paper towels, espresso machine, dishwasher, some towels and extra pair of sheets (Bring blankets). Washer dryer on bottom floor and nice storage closets. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Owner's reply: Sandie, thank you and it was a pleasure having you and your family stay with us. Hope to see you next year! Robert

“Beautiful fall getaway”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2015

We had a very relaxing stay. Everything was as said in the description. We were just a drives way from everything enjoying Portsmouth, kittery, Portland and Freeport. we enjoyed drinking our coffee in the morning on one of the two decks looking out to the water. And returning early at night to enjoy the sunset while relaxing. We defiantly recommend this property would love to return for the summer. Robert the owner is very nice and can help work around your schedule as he did with us. All the pictures don't do justice to this rental it is so much much bigger then we expected. If you stay at this property you will enjoy yourself.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind words. It was my pleasure having you stay and I look forward to seeing you this summer!
