Set in the famous rainforest village, Kuranda Villas is an ideal location for families or friends who are looking for comfortable and affordable self-contained accommodation in the heart of the village. It is the perfect base for exploring Kuranda, the Atherton Tableland and Cairns.

Kuranda Villas in Barang Street is centrally located, one street back from the main street, within walking distance of all the attractions within the village of Kuranda. Visitors arriving via the Kuranda Scenic Railway or Skyrail Rainforest Cableway have only a five minute walk to Kuranda Villas.

There are two villas nestled in their own private gardens. Villa 1 has two bedrooms, which will sleep up to 6 people. Villa 2 has three bedrooms, which will sleep up to 7 people. The villas have been tastefully furnished and the kitchens are well-equipped. While enjoying a BBQ in the garden you will be enchanted by the abundance of native birds feeding on a variety of flowering trees and shrubs.

Area Information
Kuranda was founded in 1876 and inhabited by the Djabugay aboriginal people. Tourism began in the area at the beginning of the twentieth century and became very popular in the 1960's with the "hippie" generation for it offered a fabulous location for their alternative lifestyle.

The village is located in the rainforest 330 metres above sea level in the Cairns Highlands. The climate is cooler and less humid and just 30 km from Cairns up the scenic Kuranda Range Road with views overlooking the Great Barrier Reef.

Kuranda is surrounded by World Heritage listed wet tropics rainforest with approximately 1,200 species of flowering plants, 800 of which are rainforest trees.
