Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where is the villa?
A: We are located in the beautiful PGA West set of 6 golf courses on the edge of La Quinta tucked up against the rugged hills. Old Town La Quinta is just minutes away with its restaurants, shopping, gyms and other appealing activities. Thermal horse grounds and the Polo Grounds are nearby, the upscale shopping on the El Paseo of Palm Desert is just 15 minutes drive as is The Living Desert Zoo. Palm Spring is 30 minutes and has an airport. Skiing in Big Bear is about an hour by freeway Interstate 10 and 210. The villa is about 15 minutes from the 10 freeway.
Q: What makes our villa so special?
A: It was just remodeled in 2014. Walls were removed, kitchen completely remodeled with stainless appliances, granite counters and an open plan with family room at one end and dining area at the other. The ensuite bedrooms are all separated from each other giving maximum privacy. The front patio is completely private from the street and the brand new salt water pool and spa sit between the back patio and the 8th fairway yet given some privacy by a large hump in the landscape and lovely mature trees. The security community provides safety, good and quite behavior is enforced by the HOA, there are 3 public PGA golf courses in the complex and many activities within a 30 minute drive. But mostly the weather is fantastic! Even the summer months which are hot are enjoyable with the whole house air-conditioning, the cooling effect of the pool and the near constant breezes. In the summer, the roads are clear, plenty of parking close to your shopping, always tables in the restaurants and a great many sales so shopping is not only a breeze but very money saving too! We also supply a wooden card table with green felt for those that like to play cards or other games. It comes with 4 collapsible chairs and a fitted cover so it can also be used for other games, resistant to kids Playdough, and even can be used as an extra dining table especially for kids. We have ceiling fans in all rooms to move the hot air around in the winter and cool breezes in the summer.
Q: What about entertaining?
A: We have done our best to set up the house to navigate the differences in taste between people. We have tried to provide comfortable seating for those with older backs and interior design that is both modern and comfortable. We have set up a fully equipped kitchen for those who like to do their own cooking and for those that like to order out and do the finishing themselves. Something for every need. There are three entertainment areas: the living room with gas fire place (that really gives out heat) that seats 7 people on one large couch (that can double as a single bed), a love seat and two single swivel chairs; the Family room with 48" TV, a love seat, two leather recliners and a semi-recliner with ottoman; and the outdoor patio with fire pit, love seat, two arm chairs, glass top picnic table with 6 chairs and garden umbrella with two chaise longues to bake by the pool. There is of course also the front patio with two chairs, cafe table and garden umbrella as well as the more formal glass and wrought iron dining table seating 6.
Q: Can I fly there?
A: Yes. There is an international airport in Palm Springs. Flights even come in, we are told, from Japan. Certainly there are commuter flights from LAX and even Seattle. Its a busy airport and services the celebrity travelers from around the world.
