Description from owner
Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure is just that! From the outside this looks like an old historic house. We are in the National Historic boundary of Lahaina so we desire to preserve some of the history and culture. Once you open the gate the 'treasure' is astounding! The house and Ohana (guest house) has been completely refurbished. Inside you see that you have the only private beach lagoon in West Maui.
Located on Front Street in Lahaina, you are just steps away from all of the best art galleries, restaurants and shops. The Banyan Tree Park and The Lahaina Boat Harbor is just a quarter mile away. Ka'anapali and Kapalua Beach resorts are a short drive to the north.
Lahaina was the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii during the 1800s. In the 1900s Lahaina became the center of the global whaling industry with many sailing ships located anchored in its waterfront. Today, Front Street has been ranked one of the 'Top Ten Greatest Streets' by the American Planning Association.
Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure's main house has three Bedrooms, 1 full and 2 half baths, and an office. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is right on the water! You will LOVE to cook here! This home has the amenities of flat screen TVs in the living room and each bedroom, high speed wireless internet, business center, stereo, DVD & VCR players. The Ohana has its own kitchen, bathroom and outdoor lanai. There is a flat screen TV, DVD and CD players. Outside there is a wrap around stone wall with an outdoor shower.
There is a wonderful patio, equipped with a gas BBQ for your relaxation. There is a large, beautiful hot tub. You will be amazed at the gorgeous sunsets!!!! Be sure to stay after the sun has set because then the sun rays reflect underneath the clouds to bring you an absolutely fabulous, colorful romantic experience.
During the whale season you will see whales playing just a few hundred yards off shore! And yes, you will see rainbows!
The home comes with stand up paddle boards, surfboards and kayaks which you can launch right from the house. We also have bicycles and fishing gear. Protected by the reef, the water here is quite shallow and safe. Baby Beach (so called because mothers take their children to this safest of all beaches) is only about a hundred yards away so you can just wade or walk there!!!
Please note that the entire property is rented to one group at a time. The maximum occupancy of the main house is six guests including children over age 2 years. Maximum occupancy of the ohana is two guests including children over age 2 years. Children under age 2 years at time of travel are not counted in the occupancy limitations.

Oceanfront Treasure is truly a real treasure!
This property is aptly named. It is truly a treasure. It is a magical place and one of a kind. Making the reservation was easy and Eddene was a joy to work with in arranging all the details. Upon arrival Eddene and Paul came by to welcome us and tell us about the property. They are a truly charming and friendly couple and full of knowledge about the property, ocean and Maui. They were extremely responsive to any question we had. They are great hosts.
The house is in a fantastic location within easy walking distance to town and anything you might need. It is within walking and swimming distance to baby beach (also aptly named as the water at this beach is so gentle). The house comes with everything you could need to enjoy the ocean: snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, rafts, bikes, water shoes, sand toys, kayaks, life jackets, etc. The interior is decorated very thoughtfully with charming accents throughout. The many mirrors allow you to enjoy the outstanding view from just about anywhere in the home.
The hot tub was an added plus.. One of the highlights of this treasure is the little sandy inlet/beach on the property. Our 6 and 7 year old children LOVED it! As did the grown ups. They would find perfect beautiful shells everyday. We saw turtles swim by and one day we watched a huge giant sea turtle feeding around the rocks of the inlet. It stayed for over an hour. There are plenty of whales to see off in the distance as well and tiny fish that swim in the shallow water. Almost every day we would take the boogie boards and rafts out in the water and float or walk through the shallow water to baby beach. We had many memorable adventures in the ocean outside this home.
We stayed for a week at this property before moving on to a resort in Wailea. Staying at the Lahaina Ocean Front Treasure was, by far, the best part of our vacation. We would definitely stay here again. This property exudes the Aloha spirit and timelessness of Hawaii unlike the many sterile properties for rent that all look the same. This property truly is a treasure.

I absolutely loved this location, I cannot even begin to express how amazing it was. We stayed there on our family vacation with my wife and kid, my parents my brother, and his fiancée. I absolutely loved the proximity to the water a the view. And on the other side you were a short walk from downtown Lahaina, with everything that that has to offer.
One of the greatest things though, that everyone took advantage of, was the use of kayaks and standup paddleboard's and surfboards. It made for some very fun little trips over to the nearby baby beach.
The owners as well were very friendly and accommodating, they deafly check the list to make sure that we had everything that we needed.
I would most definitely return again when I have the time and money. It is definitely well named as an "Oceanfront Treasure".

Family trip to Maui
This was an exceptional experience. The house and adjacent "bungalow "were as described. The view and location was amazing. On the ocean , close to town, close to the beach, and private. The "toys" available .. surf boards..paddle boards..kayaks.. surf -runners ...boogey boards ...snorkling equip..childrens toys ... bikes.. hot tub ....were perfect and utilized. Barack helped us get acclimated and showed us how to use the gear. Every expectation was met and we would highly recommend this property.. Thanks for a great trip !!!!
