A group of us spent a weekend at Day Dream Retreat for a Mom's Getaway and we had a wonderful time at this home. The house was clean and cozy and the waterfront dock area was a perfect place to enjoy the sunset. We hope to make this an annual tradition!

When we arrived for our annual "girls weekend" it was dark so we were not able to see the outside of the home. We were not disappointed when we got inside, beautiful! Well stocked kitchen, plenty of games and the DVD collection is great! First light I took a tour of the outside, Breathtaking! The view of the lake could not be better and the home is absolutly stunning. I would love to go back again and may even include our husbands next time. We toured a few wineries and had a nice dinner at Obrigado. I would recommend eating there as well.

Everything about this vacation rental was fantastic. The house is very well appointed. It's in a great location on the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and the rental property.

Absolutely gorgeous property! Website does the house justice but not the view and lake setting. View off of back deck is stunning and you have access to a deepwater dock with great swimming. House is equipped with everything including massive DVD collection, cookware, comfy furniture and 2.5 baths. There are a couple of good stores for convenience items only 10 minutes away but advise that you pack lots of food as grocery store is a little bit of a hike. We rented a boat for the week to explore the lake since it was our first time but not necessary. A few tips: 1.Bring flotation devices for kids as there is no walk-in to lake (must jump off dock). 2.Good fishing so bring the gear. 3. The place you pickup the key is different than rental property. 4. Tons of great books, games and DVDs for rainy days. 5. Air hockey and foosball table didn't have puck or ball :( Will definitely consider renting again.
We enjoyed this comfortable and immaculate home for our annual week of fun at Lake Anna. There was plenty of room for everyone and we cooked many delicious meals in the upgraded, well-equipped kitchen. There are tons of dvds to watch but parents beware that rated Rs are mixed in with them. This home is situated on a hill so I would not recommend elderly or disabled people to consider it because of the many stairs and hills leading down to the dock. Woodland Lake Retreat is located on a fantastic part of the lake and we spent many hours jet-skiing, water boarding, and tubing in the cove. The dock was well-protected from choppy water so we felt good about tying up there overnight. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home! Date of stay: Jul 20, 2013
Our group (five adults, three tween/teen girls, one dog) spent a wonderful fall weekend at Woodland Lake Retreat. The house was spacious and incredibly clean, with an interesting layout -- just as beautiful as the pictures! We loved the many big windows and lovely furniture/furnishings. The girls enjoyed fishing on the pier (LOTS of fish) and having their own "retreat" in the basement where they could watch movies (from the HUGE DVD collection -- although we did need to make sure the movies were age-appropriate.) The weather for our weekend was fantastic, and we enjoyed being nestled amongst the trees (we saw a young bald eagle one morning!), while the absence of light pollution allowed us to stargaze at night. The property does have a lot of stairs, both indoors and out -- some of the outdoor steps are quite steep. Not a problem for our group, but should be taken into consideration by other potential renters. All in all, we were quite happy with our Woodland Lake Retreat experience! date of stay: Sep 27, 2013
