Description of the Lake Gaston vacation home rental
Wildwood Point is a cute neighborhood that has a Olympic sized pool, clubhouse w/ showers, swim pier and over a dozen boat slips all within this secure gated community facility. Bring your boat/watercraft ( or rent one from local marinas) and launch it right within the neighborhood (less than 3/4 mile from the house). The home sleeps 8 with king, queen, 2 twins and a sleeper sofa. Linens are provided, gas grill, fire pit out back, kitchen with everything you will need to cook for the gang. Golfing nearby, restaurants by water or car, fresh vegetables at local flea market, fabulous fishing, wakeboarding school just around the corner, marinas for boat rentals and much, much more.

Area Information
Lake Gaston is located along the NC/VA border between interstates 85 & 95. The lake is a convenient short drive from Raleigh and Richmond being only a little over an hour from either of the metropolitan areas. Lake Gaton is a man made lake created when Dominion Resources built a hydroelectric dam on the Roanok River for electricity generation. The Lake has 360+/- miles of shoreline and a waterlevel remains pretty much constant due to licensing agreements for the hydroelectric facility, local and state governments.
