“What a beautiful place!”

Reviewed 26 Nov 2014

I recently went on a weekend vacation with my boyfriend. We were just looking for a quit place to relax in and what we found was so much more than what we expected. This house was absolutely perfect. It was clean and decorated beautifully! We cooked dinner and made a fire and I don't think either of Us have ever felt so relaxed. We can not wait to go back! It really was the perfect weekend get away in a perfect house!

Owner's reply: You are too kind, Megan. I am so very pleased you were comfortable there and had a pleasant time. Thank you so much for taking your time to help me out with this glowing review. It is a most welcome reward for my work. Best to all, Melissa

“Labor Day weekend”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2014

Melissa was an accommodating host, and had everything planned out ahead of time, and also accepted our two dogs! Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. The pictures do not do this beautiful property justice. The view of lake was perfect, as was the firepit we enjoyed both nights of our stay. The house was tucked in the woods- made us feel far enough away from our neighbors, but we were also a close drive to Lake George town. Overall, we would love to visit again.

“family time”

Reviewed 16 Jul 2014

Lake House on Lake George fit all our need for a family vacation for 13. The age range was 2 months to 83years.The location was very handy to tourist attractions, nature experiences, and shopping. Clean, well equipped kitchen, beautiful view and private lake dock were enjoyed each day! Bedrooms were a good size, and plenty of room to visit on screened in porch.

Owner's reply: Just to thank the family for being such lovely guests and for taking the time to write this for me and help promote my business.

“Our "big chill weekend"”

Reviewed 17 Oct 2013

We stayed there Columbus Day weekend of 2013. The house was just what we were looking for . The 5 bedrooms and 4 baths worked out great. There's a big dining table for all of us to share a meal. There were 10 of us . The house is on the lake but you really can't see it from the house. That was my only disappointment. I would cut some trees downs if I'd I owned it . It had a boat house which in the house would be a lot of fun. The house was clean and had everything we needed . Loved the screened in porch , we spent most of our time there. You are only 5 mins or so to lake George village . I am looking forward going back next year!

“lakehouse”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2013

We had a very nice time. Plenty of room. We had hoped for a few more people to come, but that didn't work out ,so we had the big house to ourselves. Very clean. We enjoyed sitting on top of the boathouse watching the sunset. A very nice time

Owner's reply: So kind of Mrs. Parker to write this, even though I didn't ask her for a review. And I must include the information that she really left the house as clean as she found it and the boathouse roof in perfect order, too. A genuine gift to us for which we are most grateful.

“Winter Getaway”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2013

Rented the nice, big, friendly house on Lake George for a party of eight. The house was clean and well equipped for preparing meals, enjoying a game of pool, and having privacy. We traveled to Gore Mountain for skiing (just 30 or so minutes away), joined in on the Winter Carnival fun, and enjoyed the comfort of the home. Will seek out this home again for a winter stay. Wonderful time!

“Great Place!!”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2011

A group of 9 of us - friends for 20 years - spent a week at the Lake House and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There was plenty of room in the house, yard, deck and dock - with lots of options for hanging out together, in small groups or alone. The lake was perfect temperature for swimming every day - we made great use of that option! The landlord takes very good care of the property and does an excellent job of being accessible without being hovering. Would do this again!

The house was very nice and spacious. It was also very clean and well equipped with everything we need. We had a great time.

“Nice Private Lake George Home”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2009

The home was impeccably clean when we arrived. The location of the house is very private with the deck away from the house. It was a little hike to the lake but the privacy was well worth it. The bedrooms were private and the number of baths worked well. The living space would've been small for our party of 6 adults and one toddler if we had had bad weather but fortunately it was beautiful therefore we were able to use the screened in porch as additional space. All in all a wonderful experience. We enjoyed Lake George and the other coummnities surrounding it. Thank you.
