Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Lake Lure, North Carolina
They really paid attention to making out stay both comfortable and relaxing! Not going to say too much so you will be surprised. I had a hard time not texting them to say what a treat it was. We were lucky with the weather and spent most of our time outside on the deck and by the firepit. Did not want to leave!!!

Fantastic spot for a small 30th birthday celebration! Would definitely go back in the summertime too
We searched high and low for a Lake Lure cabin that offered everything a guy hobbyist turning 30 would want in a bday getaway to the mountains with a few close friends. Pool table? Check. Fire Pit? Yes. Close to Golf? Check. Ping pong table? Yes. Gas grill? Check. Big/Flat Screen TV? Yes. Darts? Yes. Gorgeous views? Check. We utilized ALL of these for the ultimate weekend experience. It was impossible to find anywhere else like this in the area that also had 3 queen bedrooms for each couple (plus a bunk room) so we could all have our own privacy and floor! Our jaws dropped at how beautiful the decor and new-build details were inside and out. Everything looks exactly as it does in the photos, no way you could be disappointed with the wood floors, stone fireplace, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and tiled basement/bathrooms. There were so many other high-end details in the home that we appreciated as well, including LED sensor lights in both stairwells, music system, track lighting, AC thermostat on each floor, easy switch gas fireplace, wood beams and trim, and the list goes on. The kitchen was perfect to bake a birthday cake, we used the grill for a great steak dinner and put up party decorations in the game room. We got everything from the nice Ingles closeby and easy to get to. We didnt use the longer, less steep route to get to the cabin a single time. The other steep, gravel route didn't give us any issues and the consensus was "it wasn't bad" (note: the weather was dry and great for us all weekend). However, I wouldn't recommend going up to the cabin at night for the first time this route; it was a little nerve-wracking traveling unknown gravel rds for the first time in the dark (we were hoping to beat the sunset but rush hour traffic decided otherwise), but in the day time we could tell there was nothing to be afraid of as long as you don't speed! The house was definitely worth the trek, and so are the nearby amenities. The guys played a round of golf at the Rumbling Bald Resort at the bottom of the mountain where a scene from Dirty Dancing was shot, and they loved it! On the check-out day we had a delicious lunch at Medina's in Chimney Rock and went on a hike at the Chimney Rock State Park across the street that offered a great view of Lake Lure and many other shops and restaurants on the river. Best of all, Victoria is amazing throughout the whole process and goes out of her way to make sure your stay has a special resort feel :)

Beautiful home with amazing views
Had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful and well kept home. The views from the home are more amazing than in the pictures. The drive to the home is up a long gravel road but was not bad. There are two ways to reach the cabin and we were advised by the owners to take the longer, less steep route which proved to be very manageable. One of the vehicles was a small Mazda 6 sedan that reached the cabin on this route easily. Although it had rained quite a bit that day, we had no issues on the well maintained gravel road. There are switchbacks and inclines but nothing crazy. We did start using the steeper, shorter route in an SUV and had no issues getting to the home by that route either. However, I personally would not attempt the steep route going up in anything less.
Furnishings in the home are well kept, everything was very clean, and as pictured in the posting. Owners provided many small thoughtful items that I have not seen in any rental before (I don't want to list them so anyone staying here will be as surprised as we were). This attention to detail with the focus on a relaxing stay made each day here well worth it.
We defiantly recommend staying in this beautiful home.

Took our breath away!
#christmasinthesmokies was everything I could have imagined even down to roosters in the decor! I wanted a log home on top of a mountain with a hot tub, game room and views...Hawks View delivered! From the moment we stepped in we were greeted with breath taking views from every room. While amenities around the area were abundant, I wanted a place my adult children would want to just hang and be together. We enjoyed s'mores around the fire pit, throwing balsa wood planes from the deck, playing ping pong and pool, watching movies, and soaking in the hot tub. There wasn't anything we needed that was not provided. The beautiful kitchen was well stocked and the robes on the beds with chocolates were a special touch. From the moment I spoke with Victoria on the phone I knew this was the place for us. Victoria even offered to have a Christmas tree ready and waiting for us. I will say the drive up the mountain had me holding my breath a few times however it was so worth the adventure! Thank you Victoria and Erik for sharing your home with us. We, and five of my children and three grandbabies had the most memorable Christmas and New Years ever!

Stunning cabin with stunning view!
Our family had an absolutely wonderful time! Hawk's View cabin is beautiful inside and out with every amenity provided and the view is breathtaking! The property is clean and neat and the little touches like the robes and Godiva Choclates on the beds add a nice touch. Erik and Victoria are wonderful owners. They had been notified by the renters that had just left that the hot tub wasn't heating. They emailed us as we were traveling to let us know about the problem and informed us that the repairman and housekeeper may be at the property when we arrived. The broken heating unit was replaced before we got there and we enjoyed the hot tub all week! We also enjoyed some local attractions like gem hunting, visiting Biltmore Estate, shopping in Asheville Hendersonville, and Chimney Rock, we rented a pontoon and did a little fishing and swimming at Lake Lure (our favorite day), and we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the Persied meteor shower from the expansive cabin deck! We didn't have enough time for horseback riding, climbing Chimney Rock, exploring all that Lake Lure has to offer, and Hendersonville's Sliding Rock! My favorite memory was sitting on the deck watching the sunrise over the mountains with a cup of coffee in hand. The cool misty mountain air, the birds singing, the Katydids and Crickets buzzing, the Sun's red and orange glow...Heaven on Earth. We would definitely recommend Hawk's View cabin and we hope to visit again some day!!

PERFECT getaway with incredible adventures nearby
The Kikut's impeccably clean and modern home has absolutely everything you need for a perfect mountain getaway - breathtaking views, beautiful and tasteful decor, comfortable furnishings, a fabulous kitchen, a game room for the whole family to enjoy, a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores, and a hot tub to relax in after adventure-filled days! There are so many fun family-friendly activities to do nearby - from horseback riding (Cedar Creek Stables) and zip lining (Canopy Ridge Farm), to water water kayaking (Green River Adventures) and sliding down a natural water fall (Sliding Rock in the Pisgah National Forest), we created so many amazing memories! My family of four (my husband and I, our 10 year old daughter, and 6 year old son) stayed with my parents for a week in the Kikut's log cabin, and at the end of our weeklong stay we all agreed that it was the BEST vacation we have ever had! It was hard to make that last drive down the mountain. Many thanks to the Kikuts for sharing their magnificent cabin and for all of the special touches that made our stay absolutely perfect!

Perfect Getaway Spot with Amazing View
Our experience at Erik and Victoria's cabin was wonderful. It was everything we were hoping for, and much, much more. The view was really special, and the place really had it all. It's very clear they carefully planned out everything to make sure their guests feel comfortable and welcome. It is very secluded at the top of the mountain, but only a short drive to the town of Lake Lure. We are already looking forward to going back again soon.

Beautiful Views and Great Cabin
This was our families first experience renting a cabin and it couldn't have been better. The owners were wonderful and responsive to all of our many questions. The cabin is beautiful high up on the mountain with breathtaking views. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make all of our meals with ease. We stayed in the rocking chairs most days and soaked up the views. The layout of the home was perfect for our family as everyone had a bedroom and bathroom. The drive up the mountain is an adventure, especially for us Floridians, but once we did it once it became much easier to navigate. We will definitely be back next year.
