Description from owner

What a location! Two beautiful waterfront homes inside a 2000 acre state park!

Park Place (# 50957) sleeps 20 and is on three levels. The top entrance level is handcaped friendly with entrance ramp, all doors 36 inch wide and the walk-in master shower is approximately 5 by 8 feet. There are five bedrooms, FOUR of which are MASTER SUITES. One has a king bed, four bedrooms have queens and a large media room (14 by 30) has 3 sleeper sofas. There is another sleeping sofa in the reading nook and a sleeper sofa in the game room. The master suites have their own private deck. There are six full and one half baths. Four of the six bedrooms have their own complete private full bath! This home has its own private wooded cove and dock.

Boardwalk (#79715) sleeps 12 and has 2 full bathrooms. This home is on two levels with four bedrooms upstairs, all with queen size beds. Downstairs in the large open living room are two sleep sofas. There is a boat house with canoe and kayaks along with life jackets. Your neighbors will be great blue herons and osprey.

These homes are ideal for family vacations, business meetings and reunions. Both homes are waterfront with docks and piers. They are located at the two ends of a dead end street that has five homes on it. These two homes are on properties that are 90 feet apart so walking from one to the other is easy.

The beautiful 2000 acre wooded park that surrounds you has a swimming area, free boat launch, community building that will hold over 100 people (ideal for weddings and business meetings), picnic shelters, mountain bike and hiking trails, canoe and paddle boat rentals. Search Lake Norman State Park to find more information (lake.norman@ncparks.gov).

These two homes can be rented together or separate depending on your group's needs. If you do rent both homes be aware that Vacation Home Rental lists these homes as two different properties. You will have to go to each home's site to book them.

Beds: 4 Queen Beds, 2 Sofa Beds

About the area

Iredell County has more interstate than any other North Carolina county. Straight north on I 77 will bring you to the Virginian part of the Appalachian Mountains. South on I 77 heads you toward Charlotte, the Carolina's largest city by far. I 40 west will take you to Hickory and the Hickory Furniture Mart. 80 miles further and you come to Asheville. East on I 40 takes you to Winston-Salem, Durham, Raleigh and ends at Wilmington. If you live close by you already know all this. And if you do live close by come and visit my homes and your state park. I will gladly show you around my homes and the park if you like. I lead nature hikes for the Troutman Library so may want to come along on one of those.
