Owner Supplied Testimonials

To Meagan and Massimo,

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Casa Rossa this June. The house was truly magical.

Our extended family enjoyed every part of the house (pool and outdoor areas too) and being so close to Florence, yet out of town was a delight for us all. We thank you for your hospitality and for connecting us with Riccardo who drove us all over the place. We had wonderful meals in and around Florence and enjoyed all the outlying areas.

It sounds to simple to say Casa Rossa is something special, but it really is a special place and perfect for our family vacation;3 generations ages 9-80! Besides all the obvious beauty of the place here is what we loved: Visits from the dove and cat; thunder and lightening to rattle your teeth; cooking from herbs from the garden; figs fresh from the trees; walking in the woods;big skies and views of the valley that change every 20mins;being awakened by church bells; dolci & gelati from Catania Natale; the video arcade in Lastra (says Daniel); the pool of course; golf at Montelupo and fun with the water pump.

Dear Meaghan,
Just a short note to say how much everyone enjoyed their stay at Casa Rossa. It was loved by all, for its location, the views, the quiet and the few degrees cooler than the village!

The inside furnishings were nicely in keeping with the building.

It was also noted that the geckos do a wonderful job of controlling most of the insect life. In the UK, that house would be crawling with spiders, but I cannot remember seeing one.

Please pass on our thanks to your staff who looked after us whilst we were there; they were all very helpful.

Best Regards

I want to thank you for all of the super arrangements and tell you that your villa is very, very, nice place to stay.. thanks again and would have like to visit with you more but our baby takes up so much time..

Best Regards

I arrived home safely, found the airport OK! I wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay and to let you know how much we enjoyed the villa! It exceeded all my expectations! All your help was much appreciated!

Thank you so much for your part of an amazing vacation. The house was all we had hoped for and your service more than expected. Your help at Sofia (6 starving children needing pizza!) and your advice on shopping was much appreciated. Most of all, thanks for the advice on the trip to Cinque Terre, it was amazing day. Im quite sure none of us would have found it on our own. We truly enjoyed ourselves and I hope I am fortunate enough to return to Lastra a Signa in the future.

Sincerely Mindy Cunningham and Family

Dear Meaghan,

My family enjoyed the stay at Casa Rossa so much last week, we were all so sad to leave. It seemed just as we finally settled in and really knew the ropes. It was time to go. Your pool was delightful, the fine, solidly constructed and beautifully decorated house was impressive and dinner on that patio with that view was a small piece of heaven. I loved the feel of the history in that house and all that must have gone on before us. Each day-trip to a different area was even better than the one before. Your thoughtful, thorough booklet of information about the house and area was very helpful as were the guidebooks. You sure helped make the stay easier. One of my daughters said she cried on the plane home; she was so sad to leave.

I want to especially thank you for the help with my daughters. I am sure your calls helped getting it from Bologna to Florence. They both were troopers and tried not to let the lack of luggage spoil their time

I want to come back myself sometime again!! Also, I have recommended Casa Rossa to friends today.

Thanks again for everything. I hope if you continue renting the house, our paths will cross sometime again in the future. Thank you for keeping such a lovely house.

Dear Meaghan,

On behalf of my entire extended family, thank you for your many kindnesses in getting us oriented to your beautiful part of the world. I can not imagine how our experience might have been made more memorable.

I have been asked to remind you to send us a couple of Lisas recipes, and also to report that the center of the upstairs showerhead appears to be limed over, resulting in a sort of halo-shower.

My brother and niece and I are also very grateful for the bottle of Montelpuciano M. left with us at Sophies last Friday; we trust Nicholas piglets are faring well.

Please let us reciprocate should you find yourself near Chicago or Central Illinois, USA. I am thinking the weather in Hudson today is very Florentine... (sigh) Sorrida, felice,
