An elegant listed town house situated in the town square and next door to a restaurant. This is an ideal base to explore all the fantastic tourist attractions in the area.
It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and a twin.
The house was constructed in the 1800's and has recently been refurbished, enhancing the original features. It is on 3 levels with light and airy rooms, wooden floorboards, a beautiful winding stairwell, marble fireplaces, a modern kitchen, a separate dining and living room, 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room, electric heating for cooler months, and a courtyard garden. There is off-street parking in the square.
The ground floor:
A light and airy Lounge with double doors leading to the pavement, a marble fireplace, 3 comfortable sofas, English Television, radio and door leading to the hallway and dining room.
A dining room seating 6, with double doors leading to the pavement, sideboard and a door to the kitchen and lounge.
A modern fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge/ freezer, gas hob and oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, cooking pots and pans, plates, cutlery and glasses for 6.

The area:
Lauzun is situated in Lot et Garonne and is known as 'A Picturesque Village in France'. It is a small, quiet town where life is slow and the atmosphere blissfully relaxing.
'Lauzun Town House' is the perfect base you to explore this beautiful area of France. But if you just want to stay put and relax, Lauzun has all the basic needs, 2 x restaurants, a small supermarket, a bar, boulangerie, butchers a pharmacy, post office, bank, and a newsagent all on your doorstep.
The town is steeped in history and architecturally interesting 12th and 13th century buildings. The first thing that stirs your imagination when you arrive is the impressive Chateau which rises above the town. Build in the 14th Century, the chateau is well worth visiting and is just a short stroll away. As is the church, the bells of which call out over the town each day. Another short stroll takes you to the picturesque lake which has a bridge, numerous trees and picnic tables, ideal for an alfresco lunch.
Lauzun has a market every Saturday morning, selling local produce, cheese, wine, fruit and veg, prunes and cider. All you have to do is step out the front door and there it is. It really comes alive during the summer months with evening markets, street carnivals and medieval festivals.
Lauzun is on the edge of the Bergerac, Bordeaux and Duras wine regions. Most of the local vineyards offer wine tasting on site. One of the Duras wine growers sells their wines on your doorstep at the Saturday market
Lauzun is also surrounded by breath taking scenery, with many Chateaux and Castles, Vineyards and leisure activities like tennis, golf, horse riding, kayaking/canoeing.

The area offers many restaurants and bars:
Castillonnès - 5 restaurants with a variety of menus,
Issigeac - 5 restaurants
Eymet - 7 restaurants.

Other local activities include, go-karting, horse riding, donkey & trap hire, tennis and rambling. Further afield there is a theme park in Agen called Parc Walibi, an adventure park 'Parc-en-Ciel' nr Lacapelle Biron, The Aquarium and Artisan Village at Le Bugue and the famous Lascaux Caves at Montignac.

Lauzun is also a great destination for sporting holidays too. There is a fine, 18 hole golf course just outside the town, which is open to the public, although handicap certificates are required. There are also tennis courts and bicycle hire centres available in the town.

Weather in Lauzun:
Lauzun is at its best in the spring and summer. The countryside becomes a hive of activity, covered in new, lush greenery and colourful blossoms and sunflowers, as temperatures rise to an average of around 25°C. We are open from March through to October.
