Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Leavenworth, Washington

We rented the cabin for a special celebration. The pictures online do not give justice to the true beauty and comfort that this cabin offers. We loved the rustic and country feel that was really captured in this cabin. We even had a bonus of enjoying the snow. This cabin is great for small and large gatherings. So much room! We plan to return.

Older home but a great house - lots of room and so well supplied. They thought of all the little things you might need when you're on vacation - and made sure they were on hand.

Great place for kids and adults!

We had a great time here with a total of 16 people! The setting is very peaceful and quiet, yet quite close to Leavenworth. The kitchen was very well stocked, the air conditioning made the house very comfortable, it was over 100 degrees the week we were there. Overall, no complaints. The only negatives might be the hot tub area, it needs improvement to be a more pleasant experience. The owners are very easy to get ahold of, and responded to all concerns. We enjoyed ourselves!

Our big family vacation at Leavenworth Mtn. Lodge
May 28, 2013
We stayed here from March 29th through April 1st, 2013. This was a big family vacation: grandparents, 3 grown sons, 2 daughter-in-laws, and 2 teen grandkids. The owner was very easy to work with and very helpful. We absolutely loved this big log home lodge. It was located in a very rural area surrounded by pastures with horses and orchards. We loved watching the horse running at times out front. The home was huge and very homey and comfy. There was plenty of room to cook together, eat together , watch movies, play games, rest and relax and have fun together. Yet there were also plenty of places to spread out and have some private time, too. Loved the big rock fireplace! There were plenty of places to porch-sit or roast marshmallows around the firepit, or relax in the hot tub outside. We really enjoyed our stay here and are already planning on coming back later in the year. We spent a few days in the Bavarian town of Leavenworth, at beer and brat gardens, shopping the wonderful shops (including the owner's shop Das Oak Haus), and wine tasting. We went on a 3-mile hike in Leavenworth one day along the river and on an island that is a bird refuge. On another day we went to Mission Ridge Ski Area to ski and snowboard. Afterwards we took part in the Dummy Downhill there and our entry was "R2-Ski2"! There was a beer garden and BBQ there, too. The lodge was always a wonderful place to come home to each day! We have already recommended it to many friends and will continue to rave about it! I hate to mention any negatives, as we truly loved staying here and look forward to staying here again. However there are just a couple things to mention: A few people said their pillows were too hard. Others felt they were fine. Should make sure to have the correct shaped coffee filters for the coffeemaker, so there aren't lots of grounds in the coffee. The road is steep and very narrow with a cliff on one side, so need to drive slowly and really watch for other cars. Not sure we'd want to stay here if the road was covered in snow or ice, unless we had 4X4, though.
So glad your family vacation was a big success. Our goal is for groups like yours to relax, have fun, and to make new memories. We have a variety of over 25 pillows to choose from and I have already added some really, really soft ones to the mix for your next visit. The Lodge is located less than a mile from the highway, just the right distance for a quiet peaceful getaway. The drive in from the highway just winds through the orchards at 10 miles per hour and we maintain it year round.
