Description from owner
This oceanfront house is in the Taft area of Lincoln City (near Mo's). It overlooks the beach, Siletz Bay, and the rocks in front of Spanish Head. It has a very private oceanfront porch and yard with vacant treed lot next door. The main floor has vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, a floor to ceiling rock gas fireplace, and an open, lodge-like design. The living room has two seating areas (one for watching TV). Two bathrooms are on the main floor. The three bedrooms (two with excellent ocean views and one with a partial view) and a half bath are on the top floor. Technological amenities include flat screen TV with dish network, espresso machine, broadband internet with WiFi and in-house computer, Wii, Play Station 2 with games. There is an eat-in kitchen with counter and stools, plus oceanfront dining room. The house is on a cliff. Stairs to beach are 300 feet north. PLEASE ASK ABOUT HOLIDAY RATES they are never $150 a night as midwinter week nights are.
NEW: We have optional sit-on-top kayaks for paddling around in the Siletz Bay when the tide is slack. They are not sea kayaks and may not be used in the ocean. A $25 per kayak rental for your entire stay, a credit card security deposit, and a signed waiver will get you out paddling with the seals. You can drop a crab trap out in the middle of the bay for a bigger haul than you'll ever get from shore. They are light enough that two people can carry one down to the bay, or you can take them in your truck. Life jackets are provided and required.

“Lovely beach getaway!”
It was a lovely home right on the ocean with gorgeous view and close beach access! Everything we needed was in the home! Even my favorite shower soap
Owner's reply: Thanks Lavonne! So glad you found us.
We spent Thansgiving weekend at this house and had a wonderful stay. The view is unbelievable- we even saw 2 whales from the living room window one morning! There is easy beach access to go hunting for the handmade glass balls hidden on the beach. The weather was sunny the entire 5 days!
Owner's reply: Thank you Kathleen! You were A+ guests. I'm so glad you had great weather for Thanksgiving. Those whales were on their way to Baja for the winter....
There were 5 of us Seahags this year and this house was the perfect size. The view amazing! and very well stocked kitchen and supplies. Lots of character and loved all the little tiles all around the house. Beds super comfortable too which can be hard too find sometimes in rentals. I will definitely use this house again when I have smaller groups going together. The only thing I would change would be placement of the TV. Our Saturday nights at this annual event include us lounging around watching movies and we couldn't all do that together this year. But all in all a wonderful weekend. Thanks Amy!
Owner's reply: Thank you Kim. I know, three walls of windows make TV placement tough in that room. Thanks so much for staying, congratulations on your selection of a perfect October weekend!
This is a very charming house high on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The views from several windows are without compare. Quiet neighborhood, easy beach access, and comfortable beds made our stay quite pleasant. There are a few mechanical issues (window shades; burners on the stove; light fixture) but the house was very clean, bright, and the remodeling that has been done is excellent. The downstairs bathrooms, in particular, are lovely. The driveway, while a bit steep, easily handled two cars. The owner is wonderful to work with. She even called us on the day of our arrival to say that the home was ready early if we wanted to settle in before the usual checkin time. All in all, we had a marvelous time. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us.
Owner's reply: Thank you Pat, so glad you enjoyed the house. We do have new blinds ordered for the whole living room : ). Hope you can come back and see!

Owner's reply: Well thank you Jorge! You guys were amazing guests as well. Welcome back anytime!
Oceanfront relaxation. Ocean life activity to watch and enjoy. Comfortable beds, great yard and patio perfect for hot dog roasting and of course marshmallows begging for graham crackers and chocolate. Air hockey and ping-pong competition or video gaming galore. A perfect place to relax and recharge with the beautiful Oregon coast just outside your door.
Owner's reply: Thank you Pamela and Scott, for making this your beach house!
Our family stayed at your lovely home the last week of August and WOW did we see wales! Every time we could see the ocean, especially morning and evening, if we looked south toward the mouth of the river and just past the breakers we saw wales! I have been to the beach every summer since I was little and have never seen so many! Amazing to look right out the windows and see such a sight! We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the comfortable beds. Our kids played games when it was foggy and we enjoyed the comfy couches to read in. Thank you for letting us into your lovely home. I hope we get to return soon. The Kellys
Owner's reply: Thank you Margot, you guys were great guests. Thanks for staying at our house. My friend went out on a whale boat the next weekend, they left from Depoe Bay and ended up right in front of our house and saw lots! That's where the whales like to feed. The humpbacks are on their way back from Alaska now, to winter in Baja.
“Great house, wonderful views”
Stayed for 4 days/3 nights at the end of August. Easy access to the beach via the stairs a couple hundred yards away. The weather didn't cooperate so we didn't get to take as much advantage of that access as we'd hoped, but the house itself definitely took some of the edge off of what could have been a rough time with our three kids trapped indoors (19-year-old, 10-year-old, and 2-year-old). Lots of fun just playing video games, board games, and ping pong... House was also very clean and has a great open floor plan.
Owner's reply: Thanks for staying at our house Justin and family! And thanks for your comments. August can be foggy and windy when it is hot in the Willamette Valley. I hope you'll come back sometime with better weather (my favorite seasons are June and late September/early October). I'm heading over there today with some new cookware, a new Henckle knife block and some other things for the house.
“A beautiful home for all seasons!”
The beach home is located conveniently just off the scenic highway 101. By walking, one could get easily to the beach, shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Everything about the house is what Amy has described to us. There are so many beautiful and spectacular photo stops south of Lincoln City. My family and I had our most fabulous vacation ever in this home. Amy was very thoughtful, communicative and thorough. We are already planning to return to this fabulous retreat home soon.
Owner's reply: I am so very happy that you had a memorable vacation at our beach house Ai Lin! You were the best guests, and you are welcome back any time. Thank you.
“Great property that feels like home!”
We stayed at Amy's property for Spring Break and absolutely loved it. We are a family of 6, so the extra space and bathrooms were wonderful. The home feels like your own and well stocked. It has a lovely view and in inclement weather if you are stuck inside you still have a wonderful view of the ocean. I loved waking up and walking downstairs to the beautiful view. The walkout basement is perfect for keeping sand out of the house. We also enjoyed an air hockey tournament one night in the basement. The stairs to the beach are minutes away and a walk down to the bay and Moe's about 10 minutes. Bonus was that we were able to bring our dog! Amy was absolutely wonderful to deal with and provided us with a much needed family retreat. Can't wait to come back again!
Owner's reply: Thank you Tracey! We definitely look forward to having you come back.
