“Peaceful Escape”

Reviewed 27 Sep 2016

Expectations Exceeded! This was my first rental, and it was sublime. The property was clean, stocked, and well taken care of. I felt as if I was in another world soon as I entered the gate. The bed was comfy, and my Yorkie thoroughly enjoyed the yard, birdsong, and playful squirrels. The welcome basket was thoughtful, as was the binder with all the information it contained. I was able to have my mother visit for a few days, which was nice. I am already intrigued at the possibility of renting both upstairs and downstairs units next time out. The beauty of the property and the attention to detail is a testament to the ownership and property management team. Thanks for providing a truly wonderful accommodation.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much Rudy for taking the time to write a review for us. We hope you will return soon and often. Safe travels, Helen

“Great place to stay”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2015

My husband and I stayed here with our two small dogs while our home was being fumigated for termites. We were totally stressed out about the fume, but once we got to this lovely place, we totally settled in and relaxed. It's bright, clean and very spacious. The outdoor area is delightful. We've stayed in other vacation rentals and have rarely seen others take such pride in how they stock and care for their place. This is truly a home away from home. We will definitely stay here again if needed and recommend it to visitors.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind words. Cheers, Helen

“Peaceful haven next to Studio City”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2015

This is the second time I've stayed in the downstairs unit of this duplex. It is beautifully appointed, comfortable, peaceful, in a quiet established neighborhood. The unit and its parking are both at ground level, so good for someone who avoids stairs, but still feels very secure and private. The beautifully maintained private garden draws birds and it was lovely to hear them singing at night. It is the perfect place if you want to be able to decompress while you're visiting a very intense city! Looking forward to returning.

“Cozy Retreat in Valley VIllage”

Reviewed 2 Dec 2014

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday (with our dog ) in the Garden Suite apartment. It was a perfect location for us, being very near family in Valley Village and LA. The apartment was exactly as cozy and attractive as pictured online and provided a spacious, comfortable and QUIET retreat during a hectic holiday. The grandchildren visited twice and the private backyard was a great place for the 3 year old to throw balls for our golden. The location was convenient to our children, to shopping, and to restaurants, and very dog friendly - we met a lot of dogs on our regular walks. Helen provided everything we needed and then some, with fresh fruit, bottles of water, and cookies on the table when we arrived as well as a detailed notebook of instructions, suggestions, and tips for travelers. Parking was off the street and near the apartment front outside stairs, making luggage carrying easy. All of us especially enjoyed comfortably sitting out on the covered deck (really another room) enjoying both privacy and the good weather. This was such a pleasant experience after the hassle of hours spent on the I5 that I hope we will return often.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your positive review Mary. We appreciate it and hope you will return again soon. Cheers, Helen

“Awesome location and large, clean apartment”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2014

My partner, toddler and I felt instantly at home in this large two bedroom apartment. It was everything we'd hoped it would be and more! Location was unreal allowing us to walk across the street to beautiful coffee shops and small boutiques. The park for our son was only a couple of blocks away and one of the best parks we've been to. He loved it! The place was super clean and had its own unique character. Kitchen is a great size with heaps of condiments etc there to use. Wireless internet and cable tv/movies! A relaxing stay all round!

“Cottage in the City”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2013

I very seldom write reviews but I felt compelled to submit one for this property. First, the apartment was located in a great neighborhood. It was quiet and centrally located to stores. Restaurants were also in close proximity. Secondly, the rooms were large and very nicely furnished. The large French doors leading to the patio gave one the feeling of being in a cottage in the country. The kitchen was well stocked with all the spices, condiments, and utensils that anyone could possibly need to cook a delicious meal. If your not a kitchen chef then there was a great BBQ gas grill to cook on located on the patio next to the patio furniture where you could enjoy eating your meal. Finally, the apartment contained a small grassy yard which was fenced in and had a birdbath fountain. This was awesome and was very private, we thoroughly watching the doves come and go. My wife and I would highly recommend this property.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. We do hope you will return and stay with us again in the future. Sincerely, Helen

“Perfect home away from home”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2012

My mother and aunt came to visit for my graduation, and this was the perfect getaway for them very close to our house! My fiance and I spent more time at this place with them than we did our home! We were all so impressed - immaculate, peaceful, great amenities, all well done. Thank you!

“The Pictures are perfect, and so was our stay!”

Reviewed 7 Nov 2011

We stayed in the property on our recent visit to LA, we were looking for a pet friendly place, and found this online. When we arrived, we found dog bowls in 3 sizes, dog treats and fresh flowers in both rooms. The furniture is beautiful, comfortable and there are throw blankets and pillows everywhere to make things cozy and warm. The yard and patio area is amazing and we spent alot of time out there with our 4 legged children. They have not left out any details, there are dishes, spices, and anything you need to cook or entertain, plus the towels and linens are high quality and even the shampoo and soap dispensers are full of high quality products. We will certainly be back soon, and as much as I hate to share this secret, it is so much nicer and cost effective as the hotels/motels in the area. I hope you all enjoy your next stay, you will be pleasantly spoiled and pampered by this property and the owners!!!!
