“Peaceful family retreat!”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2016

Wild Vines Cabin is the perfect place to escape with your family and enjoy the outdoors. The peaceful serene setting can be enjoyed from the front porch, around the fire pit or down by the fishing pond. The house was the perfect size for our group of 7, 4 adults and 3 children.

“Beautiful Cabin”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2014

We came to Wild Vines with some friends (and a dog) for the Luray Triathlon. This place is excellent. The photos online didn't do it justice. It was very clean, well-equipped, and the yard around the house is beautiful, with a fire pit and hammock. The wood interior feels modern and polished -- not what you'd expect from a typical cabin in the woods. The first floor is open with plenty of space for 1 or 2 small families. As an aside, if you are a light sleeper, be aware that sound travels quite a bit in an all-wood cabin and bring some kind of noise maker. Also, there's only 1 full bath (along with a half bath on the first floor), but it's a pretty large bathroom, and we knew about it from the owner's description, so no big deal.

Owner's reply: Hi Dave, Thank you so much for your kind words! We love getting honest feedback from our guests and are so glad that you and your guests had a great time during the triathalon! We hope that you return to Our cabins. Sincerely, Lisa Price Cabin Rentals

“worth it!”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wild Vines. The kids had a great time fishing at the nearby pond, swinging on the hammock and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The hot tub was enjoyed by all as well! The AC worked great and we appreciated the cleanliness of the cabin and that it was very kid friendly. It was a bit annoying to have to make our own beds when we arrived but there was plently of linen and towels for all 8 of us. This cabin is a bit more pricey than other ones around but worth it. We hope to be back again!

“home again”

Nature in all its glory with comforts of 5-star hotel. Not a thing required to enjoy this spacious, clean and charming "cabin". Lisa and her girls were ever so charming and made us feel like family. Deer, raccoon, fox, all of nature for filming just off one of the spacious porches of this home away from home. Fishing, antique stores, Luray caverns - so much more all close to this beautiful yet secluded cabin.

Owner's reply: Thank you Mr & Mrs Mullins! You were the perfect house guests! We welcome you back anytime! We are so glad that you enjoyed all our property has to offer and were able to see some of the wildlife as well! Lisa & Family!

“Wedding Retreat”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2013

We stayed at Wild Vines cabin while attending a wedding at Shenandoah Woods and extended our stay to do some hiking at Shenandoah National Park. Wild Vines is cozy, comfortable and well-equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as did our friends who shared the cabin. A few points on the minus side: no wifi; one full bath, which required some coordination for 4 people preparing for a wedding (the cabin sleeps 8); the top of the staircase is a safety hazard with no railing and warped steps which catch you by surprise the first time you descend and could cause a tumble. With those caveats, we would recommend Wild Vines for a peaceful getaway to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Owner's reply: Hi Marcia, We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Wild Vines log cabin. Thank you for bringing to our attention some of the issues that you encountered during your visit with us. We will address the safety issues with the stairwell at Wild Vines. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. Lisa

“Cozy Little Cabin”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2013

We had a great time. We went with two families, both with two young girls, so the cabin was perfect. The kids had a great time in their room and there was plenty of room for them, and plenty of room for both families to stay comfortably. We had a great fire in the fire pit and cooked out. Got in a hike with a trailhead within walking distance of the house. And the girls loved the hot tub. We hope to be back next year!

Owner's reply: Thank You Susan! We are glad that your family enjoyed the cabin and all the surrounding trails and amenities we have to offer! We do hope that you come back next year! The Price Family

“Awesome cabin for a family weekend!”

Reviewed 18 Jan 2012

Superb 3-bed cabin with wrap-around deck, hot tub, and more. 5 mins from the town of Stanley. Hiking, fishing pond, and kids' play area on the property, and a 20-min drive to the Luray caves, skyline drive and skiing. Chalet had towels and linens ready for us, and some basic supplies in place. Could do with somewhere to hang jackets etc - with 6 of us staying there they all ended up on the floor, but otherwise everything else was perfect. In my ideal world, 5 stars would have included some coat hooks, a pair of scissors, and wifi, but hey, it was weekend AWAY from the digital connections of our lives!

“Great location, great cabin”

Reviewed 17 May 2011

We had 3 couples and 1 dog; this place was perfect for 6 adults and the purpose of our trip - to hang out and relax with family and friends in a great house, eat/grill, and run the dog ragged! For things to do during the day, it's a quick trip to Luray, or Skyline Drive, or wineries. We even made use of the fire pit to make s'mores. Will make this an annual trip and stay again. If full, there are a couple other cabins in the same community that look promising as well.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was well-equipped and very comfortable. Two of us had stayed at The Loose Moose Lodge last year and liked that better, primarily because of the Adirondack Chairs and porch swing on the deck.

The only thing that was rough was the drive up to the cabin when it was raining. Everything, and I mean everything else was perfect! We'll be back this winter with a 4x4 to enjoy it once again
