“Cedar Green Cabin”

Reviewed 22 Nov 2016

My wife and I stayed at the Cedar Green Cabin for our honeymoon and absolutely enjoyed the stay. We had almost everything we needed, and were able to easily acquire anything we lacked. When the outdoors was chilly in the evening, we enjoyed staying in by the fire. The view was picturesque and we enjoyed visiting the local attractions to include the Luray Caverns and surrounding museums which were a very short drive away. My wife and I recommend this property for anyone looking for a getaway.

“Relaxing getaway”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2016

Even in the heat of summer, this was a cool, relaxing getaway. With a family of four, there was enough space for each of us to find our own corner to curl up with a book or just enjoy the beautiful view. We hope to return soon!

Owner's reply: Thanks so much. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again. Bonnie & Bill

“Refreshing Retreat”

Beautiful Cabin, lost in the woods with Amazing scenery with both Mountain and river views. Chipmunks and Squirrels running through the leaves adds adorable charm to this lovely hideaway.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your comments. We hope you will visit with us again. Bill and Bonnie

“beautiful”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2014

This place was beautiful, quiet, secluded, and peaceful!! After a long day of adventures this was the perfect place to come back to and relax. Every morning you can sit out on the porch drinking your coffee, and watch the sunrise...with the SNP and shenandoah river straight ahead. Doesn't get much better IMHO. The place was well kept and has everything one would need. Thank you Bill and Bonnie for sharing your dream with us...absolutely wonderful! I look ford to spreading the word and returning myself...thank you so very much!

Owner's reply: Thank you Rachel for your fine remarks. We can tell by your comments that you truly had a great time and that is most rewarding to us.

“Awesome cabin!”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2014

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at Brown's Log Cabin in Luray, VA and had a wonderful time! We are very particular where we stay and this cabin was beautiful, extremely clean, and welcoming. It felt like home! It was secluded on the mountain and had a gorgeous view of the trees and river below. It was close to the Luray Caverns and not far from the national park. There was a Walmart and Food Lion about 3 miles from the cabin which was really convenient. We will definitely stay there again if we return to the area. Thank you Bonnie and Bill Brown!

Owner's reply: Jolene, Thank you for your kind remarks. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay at Browns Log Cabin. Looking forward to seeing you again. Bonnie and Bill Brown

“The Perfect Weekend Get-a-way!”

Reviewed 15 Nov 2013

This cabin is secluded in the mountains under the canopy of the fall colors overlooking the Shenandoah! The perk each morning for us was watching the sunrise come up over the mountain from the porch, each morning. In the afternoons, after hiking all day, we would cuddle up on the porch swing and listen to the nature bustling below. We absolutely loved how remote we were, and how quiet it was. Additionally there was no WiFi access and sparce cell phone/network coverage, which made it that much better; completely UNPLUGGED for 48 hours! It was an awesome spot for our family to reconnect and spend quality time together playing board games, making smores, hiking, and experiencing nature and enjoying each other before my husband's deployment. We will be back (and we've already referred our family and friend's there). Thank you Bill!

“Perfect quiet spot to relax”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2013

We stayed at Browns Log Cabin over the Columbus Day weekend in October 2013. It was a great spot to relax: very cosy, beautiful scenery, beautiful view of the river, and a wonderful porch. The town of Luray is quaint and wonderful. We attended a county heritage festival that weekend which was very fun. A great spot for any getaway and I would definitely come back!

Owner's reply: It was nice meeting you and we are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. Please come back to see us again! Bill and Bonnie, Browns Log Cabin

“Pleasant and Comfortable”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2012

We had a fun stay at Brown Logs Cabin, to start with the arrival, the location not exactly on GPS so you have to use google maps seperately to reach, after reaching at the cabin, we found it completely setup, the owner took the pains to come and start the AC etc before our arrival. The two main bedrooms have comfortable beds while the other one is in attic and it's not so comfortable, so if you have a fifth person see if he would be okay with it. Kitchen, Living Room, Balcony were nice and had a nice outside view. Few issues we faced: On the second day we had an overflow from the toilet, the flush didn't stopped and water kept on popping out, we then figured out that the flush need only a gentle push, if you hold it for few secs it will then overflow. Secondly, the rack on the back of the toilet door, keeps dropping all the time, it needs to be fixed. The reason I'm giving a 4 is because we enjoyed our trip a lot and I believe the owner would fix few issues we pointed out.
