“Big Al”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2016

My family and I stayed at Big Al for 4 days this summer. The cabin is beautiful! Well stocked with everything you would need for cooking, movies and some good books as well. The covered deck was wonderful, as it was enclosed and the small children could be corralled and my husband and I could sit and relax in the rocking chairs. The stocked pond was great! My husband caught many fish which made him very happy. Beautiful cabin, my only complaint would be that the caretaker needed to do multiple repairs/maintenance to the cabin and kept asking us when we would be leaving. Also, bring bugspray, but expect that at any cabin up here. Overall, very nice cabin!

“Great Location”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2016

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. We wanted a place central to some good motorcycle rides, and this location was perfect. The porch has to be our favorite place with the hammock a close second. The inside is very rustic and the furniture is very comfortable. It was perfect. Brenda was very easy to work with.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your nice review. We are glad your stay was enjoyable and please visit again!

“Best vacation EVER!”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2016

Rented The Alcoa cabin for Valentines weekend with my boyfriend and it was the most relaxing, fun, and serene vacation I have ever been on. It was a last minute rental and Brenda (cabin owner) was quick to reply to my email about booking and was genuinely very sweet when I called to book and pay. Her email with directions to the cabin and rules of the house were very descriptive. The cabin was clean and we'll equipped with everything we could possibly need. Furthermore, the owners knew it was a Valentine's trip for me and my boyfriend, and when we arrived at the cabin, there was a Valentines day balloon, teddy bear, and chocolates sitting on the kitchen table (SO THOUGHTFUL!). Then, it unexpectedly snowed our last night and Lynwood (Brenda's husband) came up to the cabin and offered to help plow/shovel snow so we could get out. Then, noticing how much snow was still coming down and the possibility of freezing rain, he offered us another night free of charge. This was so thoughtful and completely unexpected. They genuinely care about their guests enjoyment and safety... you don't see many nice people like this nowadays, so needless to say... I was VERY pleased with every aspect of this vacation and fully intend to return and tell all my friends and family what a great place this is.

Owner's reply: Thank you for staying with Brenwood Rentals and please come back again!

“Wonderful experience”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2014

We had a wonderful time, and the cabin was more than we expected. Lots of nice little details added up to a very nice stay for my wife and I and our two college aged kids. Sitting out on the front porch in the rocking chairs, without seeing a single mosquito, was unexpected! And we saw a bear cub in the front yard as it made its way across the road! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to friends. Great mini-vacation!

Owner's reply: I am glad you and your family had a wonderfull time at the "Big Al" cabin. Hope you can visit with Brenwood Rentals again!

“Just PERFECT”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2013

We stayed here with a group of friends all between 30-40. We rented a couple of their properties, Alcoa being one of them. It was so serene and perfect. We were able to hike and canoe during the day, grill each evening, and sit in the hot tub and watch fireflies at night. JUST PERFECT!

Owner's reply: Thank you for staying and please tell friends about Brenwood Rentals. Best Regards Brenda

“Amazing place”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2013

After staying in the Alcoa cabin for two nights, I did not want to leave. The cabin was breathtaking. We booked the cabin for my brother's bachelor party and we had a great time. I know we would not have had such a great time if the facility that we were staying in was not as nice as the one we had. All three bedrooms were very spacious and cozy which I personally loved. The living room provided a nice seating area for all six of our guests including myself. We even watched a few dvd's that were graciously provided to us in the cabin. The kitchen was immaculate. It had everything possible that we could possibly have wanted to or needed. We were able to make many meals that tasted great due to the amazing stove and oven. What got all of us excited about the place were the hot tub, the porch, the fire pit, and the lake. We went in the hot tub for about three hours both nights there and it was very comfortable and clean. We sat on the porch most of the day playing cards and having a wonderful time. We spent most of our nights playing guitar and singing along in front of the awesome firepit because of the benches and gracious supply of firewood. We even met a guest of another cabin while we were sitting there having a great time. As an avid fisher, I loved the lake. It was clean, stocked, and breathtaking. I know that I had a great time and the other five guests that were there, including the groom (my brother), had an amazing time while there and we can't wait to go back for another weekend. Thanks Brenda and Lynwood for such an amazing place.

Owner's reply: I am glad you all had a good time. I know I was a little worried about a bachelor party, but you promised me everyone was a responsible adult and would take care of the cabin. Thank you for living up to your word and please return for another good time. Best Regards Brenda

“Doggie Fun”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2013

My wife and I and a copule of friends, along with our two dogs, stayed in this cabin for long weekends in February 2012 and 2013. The cleanliness was excellent and the cabin was well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing country weekend, including a hot tub on the rear deck. We really enjoyed the outdoor firepit and letting the dogs run out all of their energy on the spacious lot. The hiking trails were nice and were enjoyed by us and dogs alike. We have been campers for several years and refer to this cabin as like camping but being able to sleep and shower indoors. Highly recommended.

Owner's reply: Thank you for staying at Brenwood Rentals and hope you can stay again!
