“Excellent way to relax”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2015

This was our 4th trip to Cove Point and the 2nd time we stayed at Cedar Beach Lodge. It was perfect - the well equipped house is a mere short 2 blocks from the private beach where we delighted in finding sharks teeth, sea glass and shells. Even with inclement weather (tornado warning, severe thunder storms and coastal flooding) we were able to get on the beach each day. Our hostess contacted us whenever she learned of weather events. This was our granddaughter's first trip to Cove Point but I am sure it will not be her last. We are already looking forward to booking again for next year.

Owner's reply: It is always nice to welcome return guests. Coastal weather can be so unpredictable! It is nice to know the variable summer weather does not dampen the fun at Cedar Beach Lodge and Cove Point Beach!

Owner Supplied Testimonials

If you want a quiet, relaxing break, we highly recommend Cedar Beach Lodge. We vacation regularly at the Outer Banks of NC. This is so different, but we loved it. At the lodge you're nestled among the trees with deer eating in the yard and then escaping into the edge of the marsh. The marsh birds are your alarm every morning - I believe about 6:12 a.m. Then you walk out to the end of the driveway, the winds off the water meet you and you start to hear the waves from the Bay. We walked to the Bay every morning for the sunrise then walked for hours looking for sea glass (which was abundant) and shark's teeth (which were a challenge). This was our first trip to the Cedar Beach Lodge and we plan on it not being our last. The Owner of Cedar Beach Lodge, although not right there with you, was your cordial host. Very pleasant to work with and always ready to promptly answer your every question. Thanks, Deborah, for a much needed break from our work-a-day world.
