Description of the Maggie Valley vacation cabin rental
Creek 'n Woods I is a Smoky Mountain vacation rental cabin in Maggie Valley, NC. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps 6-8 people, and is fully furnished-all you need to bring are your clothes and food. The cabin is located on a creek (very kid friendly) in the woods, and whether you're sitting on the large open deck on the back of the house, the smaller open deck off the second floor, or are sitting in the rocking chairs on the L-shaped covered porch-the soothing sounds of the creek can be heard. There are movies, games, books, and puzzles for your enjoyment, WiFi and expanded cable are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a gas grill on the back open deck with an extra tank for your use. The hot tub is also on the back deck, and at the end of a full day of exploring all that there is to do in Haywood County and the surrounding areas, it's a great place to submerge yourself and soak away the cares of the day (or the sore muscles and possible bruises from skiing or snowboarding). Creek 'n Woods I is on a paved road and accessible year round.

This cabin is just minutes from the Maggie Valley Club for rounds of golf, and also nearby are The Wheels Through Time Museum (one of the finest collections of cars and motorcycles in the country), the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, Cherokee Museum, the Biltmore Estate, Cataloochee Ski Resort, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, gem mining, shopping, music and more. Nothing is too far from Maggie Valley!

We take great care of our guests from the moment you call to make your reservation to meeting you upon your arrival no matter what time of day or night that might be. After driving 4-13 hours the last thing visitors to our area need to face is the 'hunt for the cabin' in the dark. When we meet you, we take you to the cabin so that we can explain how everything works, provide directions to the grocery store, suggestions on where to eat, and what to do. For our motorcycle guests, we will even do your grocery shopping if you email us your list in advance thus eliminating multiple trips to the store for 'provisions'. If someone in your group is celebrating a special event (birthday, anniversary, graduation, marriage proposal, wedding) we will do whatever we can to help make the occasion special either by providing a cake, decorations, or providing the names of local businesses who can meet your needs.

Creek 'n Woods Vacation Rentals is committed to making your vacation memorable, special, and all that you hoped it would be. When your calendar, mind and body need some mountain time and a getaway, call us!

Felt like family

January 30, 2016

This vacation was so relaxing from the begging to the end. We even added on a day at the last minute when we were scheduled to go home. This property is very nice, we'll stocked but comfortable like home. Both Tom and Sue were excellent and made us feel like family. We hope to return again in the near future. If the weather is bad prior to your trip, listen to the homeowners and bring a four wheel drive if you have one rather than your rear wheel drive vehicle. This property is located up some pretty steep roads. A typical front wheel drive probably would have been fine but not rear wheel. The whole transaction from beginning to end was thorough and detailed.

The Cabin was lovely. Clean and all decorated for Christmas. The setting in the woods beside the creek was great. The location was perfect as we made trips to Waynesville, Cherokee, Cataloochee valley, and Cataloochee Ski Resort. We enjoyed the Hot Tub, and the brand new grill as well as the cable TV, DVD player, and games that were there(had a riot playing Candyland with the players being from 20 to 77. Thanks for a fun experience and somewhat of a family reunion. Guests came from Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, & Virginia.

A wonderful, well located place to spend time!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

We loved our stay here! Not only was it quiet - so you were able to hear the creek - but the location was great. The National Park, Asheville, and Blue Ridge were easily accessible. There was yummy BarBQ, a grocery store, several brew pubs, and great mountain music opportunities, as well. The best part, however, was the house amenities and the owners! The house was very clean (and I am particular in that area), stocked with everything imaginable, and what could possibly be a better welcome than freshly baked chocolate chip cookies? Tom and Sue responded immediately to questions and Tom was there to meet us and show us around...with just a little humor thrown in! We would not hesitate to stay in any of their properties in the future.

Great location and very clean

The cabin is easy to get to, very clean and stocked with everything you need. We sat on the covered wrap around porch every morning while eating breakfast and drinking coffee. Although there are nearby cabins, it was still very quiet and peaceful. The owners, Tom and Sue are extremely friendly and helpful and want to make sure you enjoy your stay. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were a very nice touch and very delicious! We would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful property! Just pack your clothes and show up!! The cabin is so well equipped and maintained. It is so clean and just a joy. Meeting the owner to follow him up there was wonderful. He showed us around and gave us all kinds of great tips on places to eat and visit. We ate out for breakfast but also enjoyed the Starbucks coffee and biscotti sitting on the porch a couple of mornings! We grilled out a few nights and ate out on the wonderful porch listening to the creek. Our children loved to sleep in the loft area and we played some board games and read some books available from the owners collection. Perfectly located In Maggie Valley you are able to drive to Waynesville, The Biltmore in Ashvllie or even to venture over to Brevard, Sylva and Dillard.
We had a wonderful time. The homemade cookies were just icing on the cake!!

Multi use - Motorcycle & family get togehter

Left on Jul 5, 2016 for a stay in Jun 2016
OK where do I start ? this is a great place to stay no matter the circumstances. However, I do want to focus on the motorcycle traveler. The owners were extremely quick to respond and very helpful in explaining the driveway situation (in the mountains traveling with a motorcycle or like us a motorcycle small trailer and large pick up truck can be an issue.) Drive thru really? it was Perfect!!! The area is ridge, several routed day rides and of course the infamous "Motorcycle of Time" museum, interesting for all. We were lucky enough to meet family who traveled from Charlotte, NC the kids had a great time. The home is extremely comfy and the porch is to die for. Bring some vittles cause you won't need anything, else this is the most well equipped place I have ever stayed in! Thanks so much!!! These owners take great pride in their ownership, I would love too see there other properties some day.

The property reflects it's owners. Clean, neat and comfortable place to be with and/or at. The owners take great pride in their cabins and do their best to make one comfortable right down to the cookies in the cookie jar. They met us, guided us to the location and made sure we knew how to find everything. We would to there again and have recommended them to some of our friends.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Creek n Woods, and the owners were extremely hospitable. The owners met us and took us up to the property and explained where everything was located, and showed us around the cabin. The cabin was beautiful and had a perfect set up. The cabin was clean, and the hot tub and property were, too. It was truly a wonderful get away and we will be returning. Great customer service and a beautiful cabin- you can't ask for much more!

The cabin by the creek was beautiful! Much prettier than the pictures we viewed online. My husband and five children were very comfortable and cozy. Had all the modern conveniences we needed! The view was spectacular and the sound of the creek was very soothing. We all enjoyed the hot tub!! Had plenty of kitchen gadgets for cooking. And lots of toilet paper for our gang!! Maggie valley is such a darling little town. Waynesville was so cute for shopping, big grocery store and all modern conveniences. And was a very short drive. Tom greeted us on day of arrival and drove us to the house. He is such a dear man!!! Like we've been friends for years. Tom and Sue were available anytime with questions via phone or text. We highly recommend this darling retreat for all!!! Thanks tom and sue for all the down home southern hospitality!!! We'll be back!!!

Extraordinary Relaxing
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

CnW #1 location is much more of what we expected. The road leading the house was an easy access. The house can accommodate at least 3 SUV's. The sound of the flowing water from the creek was very soothing and relaxing. The cabin is fully furnished all you need to bring is your suitcase and hiking boots. The pantry is even stock with daily necessities. We felt we needed to return the favor by leaving our unused or unopened goodies for the next tenants. The cabin is very clean and well maintained. If you have any questions prior to your arrival call and ask the Tom and Sue. They will personally meet you upon arrival.
Two families stay in CnW 1 which were 6 adults and two pet dog. Pets must be in crate the whole time you are in the house. It is strictly prohibited to have pets on any beds or the chairs, unless you do not mind getting additional charge upon check-out.
Places we visited: Biltmore Estate, Soco Falls, Blue Ridge Mountain Park, Gatlinburg, Tn (1hour30min drive), drove through the infamous snake curve (dragon's tail) and through Tobias Creek (this is a must thing to do, not with a car but definitely a SUV) There are many gorgeous scenery everywhere.
We are definitely going back this fall. Highly recommended to stay with Tom and Sue's cabins.

Perfect Place for Relaxation
? ? ? ? ?

Could not have been more ideal for my family for a weekend of togetherness! Tom and Sue were the most gracious hostesses. They met us, told us everything we needed to know and left some yummy treats to welcome us. I cooked a couple of meals and the kitchen was well equipped. There was nothing that I needed. They also had it very well stocked with paper goods. There was plenty of space, comfy beds, Wi-Fi and cable. The highlight was the sound of the beautiful creek out back where we relaxed in the hot tub. I can't wait to go back!

We had a most wonderful Christmas vacation, the owners "Tom and Sue" were the most gracious and accommidating people we have ever dealt with. The cabin was perfect, a Christmas tree and other decorations greeted us.Sue had made chocolate chip cookies for Drew...and Dad. We had lots of snow and Drew had a ball playing in it, tubing, sledding and snow board lessons at the nearby Ski resort. We will definately return, God willing. Alice and Bill Wesley and Drew

A charming home at the top of the hill awaited us, surrounded by abundant trees and quietness. Upon entering the home, we found a note from the owners, welcoming us,along with a cookie jar full of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. On the kitchen counter was a jar of biscotti as well as Starbucks coffee in the freezer as a welcome gift. The home was very clean, well apponted and decorated beautifully! We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck overlooking a marvelous creek. The gas grill and picnic table allowed us to experience the outdoors even more. The location is about 5 minutes from the town of Maggie Valley and close to delightful Hendersonville. Asheville is only a short drive away. This is the place to come for a relaxing vacation!

My Lady and I, with our best friends have spent a week's vacation at this beautiful cabin for the last four years in the Fall to enjoy the colorful change of seasons. Tom and Sue, the owners, treat you like family. There is a jar of fresh baked cookies awaiting your arrival and they assure that all your needs are met. A great cabin tucked away on a wooded lot, very peaceful and quiet, with paved street access. Yet, you are minutes away from stores, shops and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is set up with everything you will need for your stay and relaxation, including a fully equipped kitchen, a gas barbeque and a hot tub.

Tom and Sue provided a perfect getaway experience. Not only was their cabin beautiful, clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable they went a step further and meticulously thought of every detail to ensure that our experience would be a positive one. We were welcomed with a batch of freshly baked cookies and a bottle of wine. Anything that might be needed was found in their kitchen. I felt like I was at home and needed no last minute runs to the store. Their thoughtfulness allowed my family to maximize our time skiing and enjoying Maggie Valley. I will most definitely recommend as I myself will be a returning customer.

We found absolutely everything in great shape including freshly baked Choc chip cookies. We appreciated the well supplied kitchen including Starbucks, biscotti and all the condiments one could want. The full wrap around deck supplied many relaxing hours with hottub, grill and babbling stream. The gasfireplace accompanied morning starbucks and biscotti with a nice warm glow. All clean organized and stress free - looking forward to our next visit. We wanted to give 5 stars but the system only allowed us to leave 4 - could be a tablet thing, but it was excellent.

Tom and Sue were wonderful hosts. They greeted us when we arrived and introduced us to the comforts of Creek in the Woods 1. They had provided delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies, biscotti, and Starbucks coffee for breakfast. But, their kindness did not stop there. After a hiking accident, they graciously offered and delivered a dinner to our cabin before we even got home. Had their been none of their uniquely special amenities, the cabin itself was extremely comfortable, clean, and homey. We ate all our dinners in the cabin and enjoyed evening times in the hot tub listening to the creek and looking at the stars.

Tom and Sue had our groceries waiting for us in the cabin. That was a huge plus for a large group without a way to grocery shop. The cabin was very clean, decorated beautifully, and comfortable. I always miss my bed at home when we are on a trip. Not the case this past weekend. The beds were so comfy and I slept very well! We stayed at the Creek n Woods I cabin while attending a wedding in Waynesville. We loved it here!! The cabin is very conveniently located near asheville and Waynesville, and unlike other cabins we have stayed in, it was not difficult to get to. We loved the beautiful deck and hearing the creek below us. We also enjoyed the large hot tub on the deck. The cabin itself was very comfortable (especially the beds upstairs!) and extremely well-stocked (had food, towels, toiletries, iron, washer/dryer - everything we needed). The owners even baked us cookies! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the area, and we hope to return someday!

We truly our first-time visit at Creek n' Woods 1 at Maggie Valley, North Carolina. We decided on the property based on all the positive reviews we had read and were pleasantly surprised to find that they were all true, right down to the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that awaited us as we met Tom and Sue for the check-in. They helped us to get quickly settled and then shared information with us about local attractions and shopping based on our preferences. That proved to be very helpful and made our visit that much more enjoyable. The property was clean, bright, private, and comfortable. When we next decide to vacation in the Smoky Mountains area we will without hesitation reserve one of Tom and Sue's properties knowing that what we will find will be as good and even better "than advertised"!

I was a member of a party of 5 women who were having a "girls weekend" in Maggie Valley. One of the ladies had stayed at one of the other properties Tom has and it was already booked for this time so we rented Creek 'n Woods I . The house is clean, nicely decorated, and has up-to-date appliances. Tom is helpful and friendly from the start and the unit has homemade cookies in the cookie jar and biscotti in another. There are 2 things I really appreciated about this property. It is centrally located but all the trees and the creek behind the deck afford it the privacy of a much more secluded location. Nice for quiet reading or getting in the hot tub. Second, they supply linens; towels; coffee; laundry supplies and other essentials. They are really clean and good quality so you actually can use them and not have to drag your own stuff from home. It's like having the amenities of a hotel, and the space, quiet and privacy of a house. Ask Tom about his repeat customer coffee mugs :).

Woderful memories made.

This was our 2nd visit to this cabin. We love visiting Maggie Valley and the surrounding towns. Our family likes to "gem mine" and it is a easy ride to Cherokee and Franklin to do that. The cabin has everything one could need, from a washer and dryer to a coffee pot and wonderful wrap around porch. Tom and Sue are very easy to deal with and respond immediately to any correspondence. Our family is planning another trip to the area and will definitely stay in one of their cabins!!

No regrets

This was our third visit. The second to this cabin which is our favorite. As always everything went great. One of the most stocked cabins we have ever rented. There is a well equipped kitchen and the cabin is very nice decorated and maintained. Very close to Cataloochee and easy to get to.

This is our third time staying in Creek 'n Woods and we have really enjoyed every trip! Perfect for winter or summer and very spacious for families! Excellent house for every occasion! Our boys really enjoyed the tubing this trip!

Comfy, easy stay close to the ski resort for a great price.

Tom and Sue were friendly and helpful hosts. It shows that they take excellent care of these cabins and the guests. They even helped us arrange a cake for our friend's upcoming birthday! The cabin itself was comfy, clean, and close to the ski resort we were going to. I arranged the stay for 8 people and all my friends said they enjoyed their stay and that this cabin was a great find. Next time, we will definitely put this cabin on the top of our list. Thank you, Tom and Sue! =)

Absolutely gorgeous and wonderful place!

We could not have had a better experience at Creek n' Woods I! I got a group of friends of mine together to celebrate a birthday and Tom and Sue (and the cabin) were beyond accommodating. Tom was so kind to show us around the cabin and there was even a birthday cake for the birthday boy waiting in the fridge when we got there. The cabin and location are picture perfect. When we weren't enjoying the hot tub and fireplace, we were walking and exploring down by the creek. There is even a bench down by the water to sit and relax. The big dining room table was perfect for our family dinners. There was plenty of room for every body to relax and enjoy being away from the city for the weekend. I can't wait to rent from Tom and Sue again. They were the icing on the cake!

Cozy, Comfy, Convenient and the Cookies ain?t Bad Either!

For 2 years in a row now, I've made my nest at Creek 'n Woods courtesy of Tom and Sue and I can't say enough good things about the place. Its like going to your aunts house. Its a cozy cabin nestled a short trip up the hill, everyone gets a comfy bed with flannel sheets with plenty of room to sprawl out, and its only a short 10 minutes from the lifts. A hot tub, a fully equipped kitchen, a grill on the deck, and a cookie jar that always comes stocked. What more could you ask for? Maybe a couple more days to stay! Tom and Sue are great and I highly recommend paying Creek 'n Woods a visit next time you are in Maggie Valley.

The service was absolutely great... the owners are so well organized; we received all this information on the location and amenities before our trip... we had no trouble at all getting to the place... We felt so welcomed when we got there... homemade cookies, flowers on the table... the cabin is so cozy... We loved our drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway .. lots of overlooks (tons of wonderful pictures) We would definitely recommend this place

Olds friends got together. It was everything the add said it was. Very friendly owners. I have some limitation. Everything was accessible for me. Hot tubs Bathroom and only to stairs to get in. We enjoyed riding the motorcycles and grilling at night. Drive way and parking was great.

An absolutely, peaceful, beautiful place to spend time with the BEST and most thoughtful hosts!

The area in Maggie Valley where the cabin is located is breathtaking. It is close to so many places to see. The cabin and people who own it are just wonderful. They think of everything from the grocery shopping, (since we had 4 couples who rode in on motorcycles), to the homemade chocolate chip cookies they provide (we have requested extra cookies for next year). This was our second visit to Maggie Valley and our second rental from Tom and Sue Knapko. We have already booked our cabin for next September. Can't wait till next year there. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!!

Spacious and Clean - amazing owners.

We used this location for a bachelorette party with ten adults. Tom and Sue were very easy to work with from the get go. The house was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. Linens and kitchen supplies made it less for us to pack. Sitting in the hot tub and listening to the creek made it very relaxing. I hope to take my family there for a long weekend

Serene and Relaxing Week!

My husband, sister and brother-in-law enjoyed a fabulous week at Creek N Woods 1. Sitting in the hot tub on a cool brisk morning, listening to the babbling stream just below the deck was absolutely perfect. Tom and Sue are perfect hosts with a fully equipped cabin that they graciously share with their guests. We have rented many vacation homes in the past, but never have we been greeted with homemade cookies! If you are looking for a place to "get away", this is it!
