Description of the Maggie Valley vacation cabin rental
Creek 'n Woods II is a Smoky Mountain vacation rental in Maggie Valley, NC. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps 6-8 people, and is fully furnished-all you need to bring are your clothes and your food. The cabin is located on a creek (very kid friendly) in the woods, and whether you're sitting on the covered L-shaped porch or have the windows open at night, the soothing sounds of the creek can be heard. There are movies, games, books, and puzzles for your enjoyment, and WiFi and expanded cable are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a gas grill on the back deck with an extra tank for your use. The hot tub is also on the back deck facing the woods, and at the end of a full day of exploring all that there is to do in Haywood County and the surrounding areas, it's a great place to submerge yourself and soak away the cares of the day (or the sore muscles and possible bruises from skiing or snowboarding). Creek 'n Woods II is on a paved road and accessible year round.

This cabin is just minutes from the Maggie Valley Club for rounds of golf, and also nearby are The Wheels Through Time Museum (one of the finest collections of cars and motorcycles in the country), the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, Cherokee Museum, the Biltmore Estate, Cataloochee Ski Resort, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, gem mining, shopping, music, and more. Nothing is too far from Maggie Valley!

We take great care of our guests from the moment you call to make your reservation to meeting you upon your arrival no matter what time of day or night that might be. After driving 4-13 hours the last thing visitors to our area need to face is the 'hunt for the cabin' in the dark. When we meet you, we take you to the cabin so that we can explain how everything works, provide directions to the grocery store, suggestions on where to eat, and what to do. For our motorcycle guests, we will even do your grocery shopping if you email us your list in advance thus eliminating multiple trips to the store for 'provisions'. If someone in your group is celebrating a special event(birthday, anniversary, graduation, marriage proposal, wedding) we will do whatever we can to help make the occasion special either by providing a cake, decorations, or providing the names of local businesses who can meet your needs.

Creek 'n Woods Vacation Rentals is committed to making your vacation memorable, special, and all that you hoped it would be. When your calendar, mind and body need some mountain time and a getaway, call us!

Great Family Trip

February 22, 2016

We came to Maggie Valley for a nice little Wednesday - Sunday trip with my family. I looked online and immediately found Creek'N'Woods - I emailed to inquiry about the home, location, etc and received a very speedy and informative response - was impressed. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, it was great. The home was the perfect size, it was clean, fully stocked (and even came with home-made cookies!!!), and it was perfectly located in Maggie Valley. I would recommend this house and these folks to anyone - we had a great time!!!

Excellent Mountain Visit

We had a wonderful week-end in Maggie Valley. This property was the best! The house was spacious and very clean. We especially enjoyed the outdoor dining space and being able to grill each night. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. The hot tub was wonderful and so relaxing! We will definitely be back!!

Most Wonderful Stay yet!!!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

We have rented a lot of vacation homes over the years.
This one by far takes the cake. We were greeted by the
homeowner (Tom). He took us up to the house, went in
the house with us and showed us everything we needed to
know to have the most comforting stay yet. His wife had
left us homemade chocolate chip cookies and even some
treats for our fur baby. The cookies were the bomb!!
Tom & Sue were the most gracious homeowners we have
dealt with yet. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forwarding to
returning next year.
Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!!!!

So relaxing!!!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This place is truly a home away from home. Tom and Sue, thank you very much for everything. It was just as easy as being home. Everything was there as described. We did Maggie Valley one day. Then we did Cherokee the next day. Then did Gatlinburg the last day. Every time we made a day trip and came back to the cabin, it was just like coming home. The coffee on the porch every morning was out of this world. The creek flowing and the birds chirping was the way a stressed out person should be relaxing. The cookies were a great way to welcome guests. Any person or business that does cabin rentals could learn from Tom and Sue. They know the true meaning of making a stay at their home done the way things should be done.

lovely weekend with family

Nice cabin to relax and enjoy time with our distant family. We met in the middle and explored the restaurants and antique stores of Maggie Valley. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed and spent most of our time in the rocking chairs on the side porch. The babbling brook on the lower deck was also very nice.

A true mountain oasis!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

It's hard to properly put into words how wonderful this cabin is. It's very charming both inside and out. The front porch greets you with big beautiful ferns, rocking chairs, an outdoor rustic checkers set and a big friendly wooden bear holding a welcome sign. When you enter the cabin, you'll immediately notice the vast attention to detail that Tom and Sue have lovingly put into the cabin. The wonderful "mountain" decor, the selection of books, games, DVD's and a fully stocked kitchen. You'll soon realize that this is more than additional rental income for Tom and Sue, this is an extension of their home...you are their guests and they want you to feel like their cabin, for the time you are there, is your cabin. If you are looking for a quite getaway, this is the place for you. Both beds were very comfortable, neither hard nor soft. big bathrooms, a laundry room, a loft with two single beds and our families favorite, the outside living space. The wraparound porch and outside table made for some great family memories. If you are looking for a space for family time, a couples get away or you just need to unplug from the daily hustle and bustle of everyday life...look no further friends. Tom and Sue's cabin will make you feel...really anyway you want to feel...relaxed, calm, disconnected...the sky's the limit. I hope you will enjoy this cabin oasis!

Great Cabin Get-Away
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

You will not be disappointed if you choose any of Tom and Sue's rentals. The cabin is clean and cozy. The upstairs loft and bathroom is private for multiple couples or children. The outdoor hot tub is relaxing. The fireplace is cozy. There are books, games and DVD's. We regretted not being able to spend more time there. Tom and Sue were prompt with responses and offered suggestions for restaurants and activities. The fresh ground Starbuck's coffee and homemade cookies were a special treat. They have thought of everything to make this a great vacation place. There is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. We visited the Biltmore. Drove the Blue Ridge Parkway....saw elk! Visited Gatlinburg. Close to everything yet private and relaxing. Wrap around porch great for reading and listening to the sounds of the creek. Kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. Paper products provided were an added bonus. Stay here!

Beautiful location and very clean

The cabin is located next to a gorgeous creek, that you can overlook directly from the three tiered deck. Cabin was very clean upon arrival and already had dishwashing soap, laundry/dryer cleaners and fully stocked with paper goods. We look forward to staying here again in the future

Trees all around

Left on May 3, 2011 for a stay in Apr 2011
This is a lovely cabin that is always clean and well stocked. My friends and I have been coming here for several years and always enjoy it. The setting is idyllic, with trees all around and a creek right beside it. It is quiet and very clean. They supply so many things other cabins don't, ie, coffee, paper towels, etc. The Knapkos (owners) are lovely people and if anything is out of order, they fix it immediately. We consider them friends of ours now. The cabin has a warm and homey feeling, and their hospitality adds to it.

Tranquility

Left on May 17, 2011 for a stay in May 2011
Tom and Sue were great people and extremely friendly. The rental property was the most comportable place I've ever stayed away from home. It was so peaceful I didn't even have to try to relax, it just happened. I truly did not want to leave. We're already planning our next trip with more family members to stay in their larger rental #4.

6 years with Creek n Woods

Left on Jun 14, 2011 for a stay in Jun 2011
My conference delegates and I have been staying at Creek n Woods II for the past 6 years. That, all by itself, says a lot. Tom and Sue run a first class establishment, with outstanding perks that go way beyond the usual. This year, on our arrival, we found not only a spotless, well-maintained house, but also a bottle of wine, a cookie jar filled with homemade cookies, and a freshly baked cake! These things, combined with a beautiful setting, the great deck, porches, hottub, and babbling brook, make for a peaceful and comfortable experience unrivaled anywhere else. I gave 5 star ratings in every category, because I honestly don't know how it could be done better. Already booked next June's stay!

Wonderful Respite in the Woods

Left on Jun 27, 2011 for a stay in Jun 2011
The cabin is delightful! It is wonderfully decorated, extremely well furnished,... a joy to visit. The creek beside the cabin furnishes a wonderfully refreshing sound, like a shower during the summertime, coming across a valley. It had been so terribly hot where we live - 100(+) degrees for days. The temperature at the cabin never got above 74 degrees. We wanted to bottle it and take it home. A definite short-list favorite for our next visit.

Perfect vacation

My friends &I; have vacationed @ Creek 'N' Woods II 13 times. Need I elaborate? The setting is lovely, the various decks are spacious,& the sound of the creek induces instant relaxation . Love being able to have meals at the large covered picnic table om the porch or play board games there. The interior is quite soothing with lots of natural wood, large comfy sofas & chairs. All rooms (especially the kitchen) have everything needed to make your visit carefree. Cleanliness is beyond belief. Simply spotless. All this is made possible by owners,Tom & Sue Knapko. They bring charm & gracious hospitality to the entire visit~ from arrival (the aroma of freshly baked cookies waiting ) to departure which incidentally is the time we schedule our return visit !!) We love it! If you wish to get out of the cabin, there are numerous excellent restaurants, activities, shopping, and sightseeing opportunities available. Literally around the corner either in Maggie, Waynesville, Cherokee or ashville.. there is truly something enjoyable for everyone. We look forward to many more visits @ Creek 'N' Woods II. Thanks to Tom & Sue. Our 14th visit is scheduled!

So Pleasant and accommodating

Tom met us in Maggie Valley and guided us to the cabin, making sure we were familiar with all the amenities. We were very impressed with his interest in making the cabin our home during our stay. From the creek for the kids to the hot tub for us, there was nothing more to want. Everything was comfortable and available. We can't wait to get back.

The best vacation experience I have ever had.

What an awesome cabin and great owners. The cabin was very clean and completely furninshed with everything needed and more. Tome and Sue are wonderful people and were there for us night and day with any questions we had. They gave us directios to places we wanted to visit and suggestions of on other places to go. I spend 3 days searching for a cabin rental and found this place on day 3. I guess the 3rd time was a charm. I searched hundreds of places and this cabin was our top choice and should be yours. After reading other great reviews we had high hopes for the cabin. It went above and beyond even those espectations. I recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to stay in the Smokies or Blue Ridge Mts. It is minutes away from the city of Waynesville which has many big name stores and a great downtown. It is located close to the Blue Rigde Parkway and the scenic drive of 278 wih many waterfalls. The drive ends in Brevard, another great downtown area. I could not dream of a better vacation. Thank you Tom and Sue for making it a great summer for me.

fell in love with this place the moment we arrived. The house was very clean, well stocked with everything you need, and most of all it just felt like home. Tom was very helpful with suggestions about grocery shopping, eating places, and places to visit. The running creek behind the cabin was so peaceful and relaxing. Wish I could stay forever. Thanks to tom and sue for thinking of everything to make our stay wonderful.

Heaven on Earth!!!

We truly enjoyed the cookies and felt like family the second we entered the house. It was unlike any other home rental we have done in the past. Kids enjoyed the creek and the abilty to run freely. Location and views were perfect. Even though we went out in town and did some site seeing, we were always ready to get back to the house and enjoy the porch, rocking chairs and just the overall experience. On our second day at the house, we started talking about the next time we could come back as a family. We would more than definitely go through Mr.Tom & Mrs.Sue again for vacation rentals.

Perfection in the woods!

Left on Oct 3, 2011 for a stay in Sep 2011
My husband, sister and her fiance just spent the weekend at the Creek 'n Woods II home. The home was perfect. Clean and comfortable. I am a clean freak and when I say clean, I mean this house was clean! Tom and Sue met us and led us to their home in the woods which we may not have found on our own. They greeted us with warm hospitality, home-made chocolate cookies, and a bottle of wine! The home is so comfy and cozy; we did not want to leave. The house is conveniently located to shopping and sightseeing, yet very private and quiet, except for the babbling brook that runs along side of the house. Perfect! I kind of hate leaving this wonderful review because I want to make sure this home is available the next time we go up to the mountains!! Tom and Sue are the perfect hosts and their home reflects that!

The rustic accommodations were perfect for our getaway -- a woodsy location, not too far from main attractions. Quiet, very clean, comfortable and well stocked, the cabin was heaven on earth for our four day stay. Loved the homemade chocolate chip cookies and the anniversary cake that Tom greeted us with. We can't wait to return. The hot tub on the deck was fabulous with the sound of the rushing creek in the background. Thank you Tom and Sue

We enjoyed our stay at Creek in Woods II. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The view was spectacular and the children loved exploring the creek. The owners thought of everything and made sure we had all of the amenities necessary for a relaxing weekend. They even had homemade cookies and left a bottle of wine with nice note for us. I would recommend staying here and I hope to have the opportunity to stay again soon.

I'm a touch critic, so meeting and exceeeding my expectations is a pretty good feat. It was so relaxing, we didn't leave the property to do much of anything. The only way it could have been better is if Tom had made it snow. I'm sure he's capable based on all the other little extra touches provided! Maybe next time. :)

Amazing Pre-Christmas Celebration

Left on Dec 30, 2011 for a stay in Dec 2011
Our family met at Creek 'n Woods II for a 4 day Pre-Christmas Celebration in December 2011. The initial purpose of this location was a half way point between our home and my husband's oldest son's home. This was going to be the first Christmas celebration that all 4 of my husband's children attended together. What we found when we arrived was an amazing house/cabin with the most beautiful, serene surroundings decorated for the holidays just as if it were our own home. Every need and comfort was provided for and Tom and Sue could not possibly have been more hospitable if we were their own relatives. Our family had the most amazing (pre) Christmas celebration that even our actual Christmas day seemed to dim in comparison. Everyone enjoyed their time at Creek n' Woods so much that we've already scheduled a return trip for a 2012 (post) Christmas celebration. We look forward to seeing Tom and Sue next year and for many years to come.

Awesome Getaway

Left on Feb 17, 2012 for a stay in Feb 2012
Creek'n Woods II is an awesome place to stay while visiting the Maggie Valley area in NC. We recently stayed for a weekend and wish it could have been longer. I chose one of Tom and Sue's houses because they have received such great reviews from everyone. It was everything and more than we expected. You can tell they know what they are doing and make their guest feel like family. (Fresh flowers, hot tub homemade cookies, tour, comfortable beds, games, books, movies, area information and the fact that they are just a phone call away if you need anything makes a stay at their house above the rest.) It is much better than dealing with a reality company. We will definetly be going back next year. I must say the creek is also heavenly that runs right by the house.

A beautiful and easy gettaway in a great location.

Left on Apr 6, 2012 for a stay in Apr 2012
Creek 'n Woods is a great name for the spot. There's a fast moving creek that looks and sounds beautiful. The home has everything you need to settle right in and start enjoying. It's location allows you to do both the Biltmore and the Smokey Mountain National Park as day trips. The owners are extrememly helpful and ready to quickly attend to anything that comes up. The loft is a fun place for the kids to sleep though as it's open to below it can be hard for them to settle down if people are still up.

This was the third time we have stayed at Creek n Woods so we were fully prepared for the drill. Nothing but sheer perfection. First we were met by Tom who escorted us to our cabin just to make sure we had no difficulties finding it. We were then greeted with Momma Sue's signature homemade cookies and a welcome note. But the best surprise came the next day when we received a delicious delivery of sticky buns from Momma Sue. We did have a mishap with a appliance but all was fixed before we could make it back to our cabin after a long day of skiing with the kids. The place is always well kept, tastefully decorated and peacefully serene. I loved sitting on the back porch and listening to the creek. On our last day there the kids were even treated to some snow. It was most definitely another memorable vacation.

We planned a small family reunion (two sisters and our brother) with all of our kids (7 of them...yikes!) and decide to meet in the quiet little town of Maggie Valley, NC. My husband and I spent our honeymoon here about 18 years ago and I wanted to see how the town had changed. The area here reminded me why I love North Carolina (even though I now live in Virginia) the Creek and Woods Cabin was simply perfect. I met with Tom to get the key and a quick overview of the area and cabin. The cabin was a welcome retreat after long days of hiking and shopping (of course) in the Great Smokey Mountains. The kids loved to splash around in the hot tub each day after we returned from our adventures. The cabin was spotless and plenty of blankets and comfortable pillows made the nights wonderful. I cannot wait to return! I know that my sister (from Georgia) and brother (from Maryland) had a blast and loved the slow pace that is offered here. Thanks to Tom for offering a great value and a great plce!

The seculded location up the hill provided for a cool climate and the creek that ran alongside of the cabin made it even more a beautiful mountain retreat.

Great Place to relax and experience Maggie

Excellent experience with reservations, check-in and general customer service with this property. The owner is top notch in his desire to make your stay worry free. The home is well stocked and all you need is your suitcase. Relax on the porch and listen to the creek as you read or just relax. The main floor master is great for those that don't like to climb stairs. The fireplace is great to just sit and watch. The location of this home is perfect to visit all the area has to offer. Lots of good places to eat are close by. The deck and hot tub are in a super setting. You are in the middle of nature, yet just minutes from the main road. The owners attitude towards making you feel at home is very professional and probably the best I have experienced with any rental property. You can't go wrong! I will revisit this home when I return to this area.

Relaxing, peaceful, quiet... our favorite mountain getaway. Creek 'n Woods is a fantastic retreat. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it just as much or more than the first. Kitchen is well stocked. Hot tub on the deck over looking the woods. The homemade cookies and banana nut bread were delicious. Thanks Tom and Sue for a wonderful vacation. We can't wait to return.

Relaxing and Rejuvinating!

The home was lovely and welcoming. We had everything that we needed for a restful and relaxing stay. The proximity to area natural attractions was very important to us. There were hiking trails in abundance and driving distance varied from 10 minutes to 45 minutes from the cabin. The creek "gurgling" down the hillside is really special, as well as the privacy of the woods. The floor plan of the cabin is perfect and can accomodate up to 8 comfortably. Dinner at the Old Stone Inn, in Waynesville, is a must for anyone...Delicious! Tom and Sue made us feel right at home, they treated us like family and provided home made chocolate chip cookies for our stay! Our family will certainly consider a return visit. P. Stump/M. Haven away from home

My family and I spent the 2012 Thanksgiving week at Creek 'n Woods 11. It started with a very warm welcome by the best host and hostess we had the privilege of meeting and of course the promised cookies were waiting for us. Tom and Sue's recommendations of places to visit and eat were welcomed and proved to be great. This cabin did not feel like a strange place since it is so cozy, warm and feels lived in yet very clean and spacious. The creek at the side of the cabin gives that positive energy and my children had a great time exploring in and around it.The cabin is surrounded by mountains and sits at the top of one so the views from the top and the bottom were spectacular. I cannot wait to experience another season here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a place to get away from it all but still be close enough to the fun. You are close enough but far away enough from any other cabin so noise is not an issue.Everyone we encountered at the grocery store(Ingles), the restaurants and parks were so friendly and courteous. We have travelled to many places around the world but Sue and Tom made us feel most welcome.By the time we left I felt like we had made some very good friends with Sue and Tom

Cozy and centrally located

This home felt like home for everyone in the family. The kitchen, bedrooms and board game stock were well appointed. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, the fireplace, and the quaint sound of the running creek. The location of Creek 'n Woods II was just perfect, at the top of a hill on the edge of the development gives it a feeling of remoteness yet in a neighborhood just off the main road to town. Owner Tom made the entire reservation, check in and check out process easy and efficient. We highly recommend this home for people wanting to explore the winter attractions of the Great Smokey Mountains!

Cozy Mountain Cabin

Left on Mar 4, 2013 for a stay in Mar 2013
We rented this cabin for three families to stay at during our ski trip weekend and had a blast! The cabin was very clean and cozy and felt very much like a home rather than a blank slate. We were surprised by all that was available to us - including games, books, snacks and ingredients! We appreciated that there was a military rate available for us since all three families were military. The location was really close to the ski resort and made for a quick trip. We loved that the cabin was secluded out back to enjoy the hot tub while the snow fell. Tom and Sue were great hosts in showing us around the cabin and checking in, it was great to have that personal touch. My only tip to future renters would be to write down the directions/turns as you are heading up to the cabin as there are lots of turns and the roads can look alike in the dark. Enjoying your stay will be an easy task at this cabin.

The description of the Cabin and features were even better than described. We especially enjoyed the lower deck down near the rippling water of the creek. We appreciated your attention to detail. The cabin is equipped with all the required dishes and cooking utensils that are not usually supplied by owners of other cabins. We highly recommend renting this cabin, and hope it will be available for us to rent when we go back to Maggie Valley for vacation.

We stayed in Creek n' Woods II for 3 nights. We did not want to leave. It was a beautiful cabin with all of the comforts of home right down to the fresh, homemade cookies to the Starbucks coffee. The creek and woods created a beautiful backdrop whether we sat by a window, rocked on the porch, or relaxed in the hot tub. Tom and Sue personally welcomed us upon our arrival and showed us outstanding hospitality while we were there. The only downside to staying here was having to leave. We will definitely return for another stay and we highly recommend Creek n' Woods!!

Just got back from Creek In the Woods II and I always trust Tripadvisor,so I had to let everyone know what a wonderful place this is to stay with family. We stayed five nights and the property was so clean and the owners were very nice to meet us up the road to go over the house and grounds etc. The grandchildren loved the creek below the property and it was so peaceful to listen to while sitting on the very large porch. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful setting in the woods by the creek. We will definitely stay there again and next time I would love to get the whole family and stay at their larger property Creek In the Woods III.I would highly recommend their rentals, they really care about their guests!

I just returned from our vacation where we, eight of us, stayed at Creek'n Woods II. It is a beautiful retreat where the sound of nature sings. The Knapko's have taken time to consider and meet any needs their guest might have. Coffee and cookies really do await you when you arrive! The rental was clean and well maintained. The wood throughout the cabin, along with the d?cor, set a warm and inviting atmosphere. There is so much to do once you arrive, the Cherokee Village, Pigeon Forge, whitewater rafting, The Biltmore Estate, horse back riding, zip lining, food and of course, putt -putt! I am sure there is more yet to discover and explore so I know our family will return to Creek 'n Woods when we return next ye

A cabin at the end of a street in a secluded community. No traffic, amidst a forest, and with the sounds of a creek just outside. All the amenities of home (kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer). Plenty of space for 7-8 people to sleep comfortably. The beds are very comfortable. A wraparound porch is great for enjoying the sounds of the creek and the fresh air of the mountains. Maggie Valley is conveniently located just a short drive from the Cherokee Village/casino, and just about an hour's drive from Pigeon Forge, Biltmore Estate, and outdoor activities like rafting and ziplining. I would definitely stay again and look forward to the next visit to the Maggie Valley area.

We loved Cabin II at Creek n Woods! Tom ensured that we had a personalized birthday cake waiting for us! We got some welcoming gifts and a wonderful tour upon our arrival. Tom met us and took us right to the cabin! And because our faith is highly important to us and our lifestyle we greatly appreciated Tom facilitating our church visit in Maggie Valley. The setting of the cabin was so peaceful and a nice contrast to the humidity and busyness of our life back home. The cabin itself was cozy and replete with items necessary to function and live comfortably. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, meals outside on the sprawling porch and inside as well. The entire experience afforded us fertile grounds to create happy memories! We not only wish to return, but, are now constantly talking about how we can move to Maggie Valley!! The owners apparently understand how to run a business by focusing on excellent customer service. Tom and Sue were responsive and timely with communications throughout our travel experience. And I will say this: coming from one who has traveled and is analytical ready to critique... There are no complaints to be offered! We loved our Creek n Woods cabin II experience! I hope this review helps others to make their travel decisions in NC! :-)

Eventhough creek 'n wood II was highly recomended by a friend( darlene white), but this was our first trip to the woods/mountain therefore We did not know what to expect, but tom & sue made us feel right at home from the begining. they took the time to show us the place, how things works! They went out of their way to baked us a jar full of chocolate cookies! We killed it in the first hour! The cabin was very clean, very well furnished, confy beds. The cabin is centrally located, nears shops, eateries, and everything else in maggie valley. It's about 20min to rafting, 15min to harrah's casino in cherokee, 20min to walmart in wayneville, and 45 min to biltmore estate in asheville which is a must when visit north carolina! It rained on the day we arrived so we decided to stay in, sat on the porch watch leaves fall of trees and listen to the water running off the rock on a creek just a few steps below the deck. It was so relaxing!! We loved it here! thanks tom& sue

Wonderful home away from home for the holidays!

Left on Dec 28, 2013 for a stay in Dec 2013
I was a little hesitant to take my 3 kids away from home over the holidays- especially Christmas! All of my worries disappeared the moment we walked into Creek 'n Woods II. Tom and Sue had done everything they could to make it perfect for a family holiday vacation. We were greeted by a beautiful Christmas tree, wonderful decorations (even the bears had Santa hats!) and fresh baked goodies. Tom and Sue took the time to show us all around and explain how everything worked. They offered suggestions on local attractions and dining. We did not need to bring a thing- all linens, cleaning supplies and dishes were provided. We loved soaking in the hot tub on cool mountain days, playing board games in front of a blazing fire and curling up with some good books (the games and books are provided in the cabin). We found that the cabins proximity to asheville, Bryson City and Cherokee was perfect for day trips to see the sights. To sum it up, we hope to stay in this cabin again! We had a wonderful time and found Tom and Sue to be very attentive owners.

Our 3rd "Annual Stacks' Family Vacation", at Creek n' Woods, was a wonderful experience just as the past years have been. We have become so familiar with the beautiful house, many decks, babbling creek and surrounding property that it has begun to feel like our own private vacation home. Tom and Sue are fantastic. The little extras that they provide, like the discount grocery card, provides a very appreciated savings when feeding such a large family like we do. And of course we always look forward to the "Starbucks" coffee and Sue's wonderful homemade cookies. Our family has made wonderful life long memories at this house and will return for years to come to make more. Thank you, Tom and Sue, for providing such an exceptional place for our large family to be together for the holidays and feel all the comforts of home and more. The "Stacks' Family"

I can't say enough about my experience with the Knapko family and Creek N Woods Cabin II. From the first encounter, I knew we were going to have the getaway we had been waiting on. All the paperwork we received was prompt and organized, and the hospitality exceeded our expectations. We arrived at the cabin which was extremely clean and orderly, was given specific directions on where to find everything we needed, had fresh clean water in the hot tub jacuzzi, and we even had freshly baked cookies to enjoy. Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The deck on the back of the house was awesome too and was in the perfect spot to listen to the running creek going down the mountain. We would definitely stay with Creek N Woods again!

Tom and Sue were most helpful from the pre start of the trip to our leaving this beautiful mountain side cabin. Having rented several houses in the past across the US and Canada I can adamantly speak to the quality of the cabin and the helpfulness of the owners. I sent an email in January enquiring about the cabin and received a phone call back from Tom immediately. (Saturday Night)! Sue actually did some grocery shopping for our arrival as we travelled by Motorcycle's. They actually gave us a birthday cake as 2 of our group had a birthday that week! Tom dropped off a bucket and towels so we could keep the Harleys shined up... The cabin had all the amenities that were required during our week in the Valley..and all three couples were extremely impressed with the amenities and quality of the cabin. The hot tub was fabulous after a long day of riding adventures along the twists and turns of North Carolina and Tennessee great roads....all Motorcycle enthusiasts must go to Magee V. and the Smokies and see for yourself the beauty of this part of the USA. Great Restaurants are also available near by ...we enjoyed Frankie's so much we dined there twice. This was our 4th trip to MV on Motorcycles and not our last..... Regards from Canada Great Job! Gord Nancy John Kelly Pat and Rick thanks again!

The setting was amazing, with trees all around, and a creek running below. Tom and Sue's personal touch was evident, from the personal tour and homemade cookies, to the birthday cake and "at home" feeling throughout every room. The cabin had everything we needed to be comfortable, and the hot tub was so refreshing. Our only regret is that we didn't plan to stay longer. I would definitely recommend Creek n Woods as a perfect vacation experience.

We had such a fun weekend staying here! The cabin was beautiful... extremely clean and well maintained. You can tell the owners take pride in this cabin. It had everything we needed! Even had chocolate chip cookies waiting on us when we arrived! My son says his favorite part of our trip was the hot tub.... (The adults enjoyed it thoroughly as well.) We skied during the day, then returned to the cabin for hot tub, grilling, playing games, and watching movies in front of the fire. It was awesome. The beds were comfortable and I personally loved the bearpaw-print flannel sheets in the master bedroom. So cozy. :) Thank you to Tom & Sue for a wonderful experience. I was instantly impressed with the kindness and attention to detail as I booked my reservation with the owner Tom. Once we arrived, Tom and Sue greeted us at the bottom of the mountain to personally escort us to our cabin. We were quite impressed by the size of the beautiful home and it's wrap-around porches complete with rocking chairs and a view of the stream down below. The only thing better than the view and the hot tub, would certainly be the special touches that Tom and Sue, the owners, provided. We found little surprises along the way like the chocolate chip cookies that were baked for us, the Starbucks coffee for us to enjoy while rocking on the porch enjoying the scenery, the fresh cut flowers, and of course the cake complete with candles as we celebrated our parents anniversary! Truly Tom and Sue went over the top to ensure that our stay was one that we would not forget!! They did an outstanding job of making us feel welcome and at home. We will surely return again!! Thank you both!

We like this cabin so well, I and my friends have been returning to it twice a year (Spring, Fall) going on 7 years now. The relationship we have with Tom & Sue, we feel like extended family. We've never had a complaint about the accommodations. The location lends itself to one feeling rested and relaxed while here. We like to dine in and cook some of our own meals, and find the kitchen well equipped for anything we want to try. This cabin is the perfect example of the type of place I'd love to retire to.
