Description of the Maggie Valley vacation cabin rental
Creek 'n Woods III is a beautiful Smoky Mountain vacation rental cabin in Maggie Valley, NC. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps 6-8 people, and is fully furnished-all you need to bring are your clothes and food. The cabin is in the woods, and has a waterfall off of the back porch. The L-shaped covered porch is furnished with rocking chairs and dining tables, and the outside deck has a hot tub and a gas grill with an extra tank for your use. There are movies, games, books, and puzzles for your enjoyment, WiFi and expanded cable are provided. The hot tub provides the perfect place to submerge and soak away the cares of the day (or the sore muscles and possible bruises from skiing or snowboarding). Creek 'n Woods III is on a paved road and accessible year round.

This cabin is just minutes from the Maggie Valley Club for rounds of golf, and also nearby are The Wheels Through Time Museum (one of the finest collections of cars and motorcycles in the country), the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, Cherokee Museum, the Biltmore Estate, Cataloochee Ski Resort, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, gem mining, shopping, music, and more. Nothing is too far from Maggie Valley!

We take great care of our guests from the moment you call to make your reservation to meeting you upon your arrival no matter what time of day or night that might be. After driving 4-13 hours the last thing visitors to our area need to face is 'the hunt for the cabin'. When we meet you we take you to the cabin so that we can explain how everything works, provide directions to the grocery store, suggestions on where to eat, and what to do. For our motorcycle guests, we will even do your grocery shopping if you email us your list in advance thus eliminating multiple trips to the store for 'provisions'. If someone in your group is celebrating a special event (birthday, anniversary, graduation, marriage proposal, wedding) we will do whatever we can to help make the occasion special either by providing a cake, decorations, or providing the names of local businesses who can meet your needs.

Creek 'n Woods Vacation Rentals is committed to making your vacation memorable, special, and all that you hoped it would be. When your calendar, mind and body need some mountain time and a getaway, call us!

We felt like welcomed guests. Tom met us off property to escort us to the cabin. Tom walked us through the grounds and inside of the cabin. Wrap around porch with swings and rocking chairs; Grill, hot tub, waterfall, well appointed kitchen, basic pantry supplies, cleaning supplies, washer and dryer; on demand water heater, brochures of the area, instructions to the grocery store and emergency numbers all easy to find on the refrigerator. And the homemade chocolate chip cookies in the cookie jar were delicious. The surrounding property is lovely and private. The sunrise through the tree canopy was breathtaking, wildlife scurrying around included squirrels, chipmunks, and song birds; a pristine golf course and gentle creek when you enter off the main road is refreshing and a nice area for walks. The drive to the top of the mountain was invigorating for someone from Florida, but beautiful at the same time. The area is inviting and charming! Nearby to mountain hikes, waterfalls, Biltmore, train rides, so much to do in the area we did not have enough time in 5 days to cover it all. If you are considering a visit to Maggie Valley, stay at one of the Creek n Wood properties! You will not be disappointed with the comfort and friendly service. Tom came out one day to drop off a grill brush for us. All questions were quickly replied to. We felt like part of the family coming home for a visit with the attentive care provided by Tom and Sue!

Review #16381735 “WATERFALL - HOT TUB & GREAT REVIEWS !!! - Creek 'n Woods #3”

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I was coming down from Canada for the Wheels Through Time Museum annual motorcycle raffle. My girlfriend wanted to join me on this long weekend getaway. So, I knew a motel stay wouldn't cut it. My fourth time to the area, and her first. I wanted to give her the best possible experience of being in the Smokey mountains. As I started my online search, I came across this one (Creek 'n Woods III). After I read all the reviews, I knew I needed not look any further. This is where I wanted us to stay!!
From the moment I first talked to Tom on the phone, to every other interaction with him, he was so courteous, helpful, inviting, and funny! He met us at a gas station in the valley, guided us up to the cabin, and gave us the tour, and showed us where everything was, and how things worked.....that was really nice.
We had fresh baked cookies in the cookie jar, Amazing fresh baked banana bread, and a bottle of red wine (that I requested) waiting for us.
On our second day there, while out at the museum, Tom dropped off a beer (that he had recommended to me) on the front porch (with instructions how to best taste it). Bourbon Barrel Ale, and it was amazing with the T-Bone steaks I grilled on the BBQ that night!
Yes the place did come with a lot of common spices, and condiments. And being from Canada, we take our coffee very serious......our staple coffee hub is Tim Hortons. Although to find a supply of Starbucks coffee was a huge treat to enjoy in the morning, sitting on the porch, enjoying the view!!!
This cabin had a great layout, and felt much larger than it was. From the half wrap around porch/deck, to the fireplace, the hot tub, the view, and tastefully decorated decor of this cabin, we were extremely happy with our stay here!!!!
My only disappointment with this cabin would be ....................................................... ........................................ ....................................................... ........................................ ...................................... that we didn't stay longer!
Thank you Tom & Sue

Loved the homey feel!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

When we arrived we were met by Mr Tom and he personally gave us a tour of the cabin. When we arrived back at the cabin there were fresh flowers and FRESH home made cookies! We have stayed at alot of the cabins in the area and this is on top of list...The cabin was immaculate. Loved the decor and the water fall. It all felt like we were at home.
I could not believe that they furnished all of your paper products as well as the fridge and cabinets had basic food and baking products...Mr. Tom and his wife are the most thoughtful owners and it was truly a blessing to have found this property! I would recommend their properties in a heart beat....

A lovely cabin in the woods. Tom met us off property to lead us to the cabin. Felt like we were part of the family with guided tour of the cabin. Well appointed kitchen, stocked pantry with staple items, paper products to use, cleaning supplies and a cookie jar filled with homemade cookies. Grill, hot tub, waterfall, wrap around porch with swing, rocking chairs, and outside dining area.

Maggie Valley is centrally located for day trips to surrounding areas. We travelled to Biltmore Estate, Great Smoky Mountian Railway to Nantahala Forest, Wildwater jeep tour, hiked DuPont Forest, hiked to Water knob summit and Soco Waterfall. Beautiful country!

Tom and Sue are attentive hosts, answering all of our questions and meeting our needs.

This is a beautiful cabin in lovely surroundings, but the most impressive aspect of our stay was the friendliness and attention to detail from Tom and Sue. From the home made cookies to the help with information about the area, they made sure our stay was relaxing and fun. I'd recommend them to anyone!

We have stayed at Creek 'N Woods before and loved it! The cabin was in beautiful shape, the pantry was stocked with staples and the fridge with condiments. Plenty of pots and pans, a coffee maker and even coffee!! We love the Knapko's, they offer the best customer service and leave excellent information in case something does go wrong. They also leave cookies for you and they are FANTASTIC!!! We would HIGHLY recommend these cabins for any R&R you need. The mountains restore your soul! This trip was simply for R&R. We did enjoy Butts by the Creek for barbecue our first night and Joey's Pancake House as we left on Sunday. Both were great! We will go back to Creek 'N Woods again!!!!

Loved the property!!

Tom and Sue, the owners met us on arrival, explained everything about cabin 111. The cabin is so inviting, clean and family friendly. Beautiful setting! The hot tub and porch were so relaxing with a beautiful view. Tom and Sue are the best, even had a birthday cake waiting for our grand daughters. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend for a mountain retreat! The location is great, located between Maggie Valley and Waynesville and only minutes from Ashville. We chose this cabin based on all the great recommendations and was totally pleased. It's definitely a return for our family!!

Tom and Sue really go above and beyond with their vacation home! The bottle of wine and the fresh cookies in the cookie jar! The house was so clean and very well maintained! (I am a pretty picky person too.)Without a doubt, if we make it back to North Carolina they will be getting our phone call!

Best mountain vacation stay ever!

Left on Jun 30, 2016 for a stay in Jun 2016
We found the listing on trip advisor after weeks of searching for the perfect Maggie Valley cabin rental and decided to go with Creek n Woods III. Best decision we made for a perfect mountain vacation! Tom & Sue are fantastic! They contacted us immediately after booking online to welcome us and ask if we had any questions, they even asked if anyone was celebrating a Birthday or Anniversary. When I told them yes, they asked what type of cake they could get for us. So when we got there, there was a Birthday cake in the fridge and also homemade cookies in the cookie jar, they went out of their way to make our stay extra special. They were out of town when we were arriving so they had their friend Susan and her husband meet us down the street to personally take us to the cabin. Such personal, one on one service! The cabin was better than we could have imagined! It looked exactly like the photos, it was spotlessly cleaned with everything you could ever want or need supplied for your stay, and I'm very picky and a clean freak. The house key comes with a discount card for the local grocery store, which saved us a ton on some goodies. It's in an absolutely beautiful location nestled in the mountain with beautiful trees all around. The hot tub was so tranquil and relaxing after our busy days of exploring. We will definitely go back!! We can't wait!! Thank you Tom & Sue !

Wonderful place for family reunion
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Upon arrival our first impression was how clean the place was and our second was how comfortable and homelike the cabin was. It easily slept 6 adults and 2 kids and was great for entertaining family members who lived locally. The location is great for nearby activities and the extra large porch was perfect for listening to the birds and sitting around enjoying each others company while reminiscing about days gone by. The kids, 6 total with local relatives ages 7 to 17, found plenty to do around the cabin and apparently there are lots of great hiding places for hide-n-seek (the kids were told no computers, video games or cell phones on this visit) and they all want to know when we're planning the next get together. This is a great family vacation spot! All are looking forward to another visit in the near future.

Beautiful home in a peaceful setting in the woods.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This home is in a great location, close to Waynesville and only about a 35 minute drive to Asheville. The opposite direction near Bryson City provided hours of great Fly Fishing on the Tuckaseegee River.
Of course, the close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains is a plus. One day we took the journey to view the Elk in the Cataloochee Valley. Only about 15 miles away from the house, but the trip takes about 50 minutes due to narrow curvy roads. Well worth the drive. We saw about a dozen elk and numerous wild turkeys.

The home provided all necessities and was well stocked. The fresh flowers on the dining room table, and a bottle of wine had been provided to celebrate our sons wedding during our stay. In addition, there were chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen cookie jar. Very nice touches, and quite unexpected.

We ate at numerous locations in Waynesville which we would recommend. The Chefs Table, and Frogs Leap Public House were the most notable.
In Asheville, The Bull and Beggar, The Admiral, and The Lobster Trap are a must.
If you are into beer, a trip out to Sierra Nevada, and New Belgium. The tasting center at New Belgium is now open, but the brewery is not open for tours yet.

We look forward to returning.

Pick this one... you will not regret it!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

My family and I stayed here for only 3 days, but since the moment we pulled in to the driveway we fell in love with the cabin and the location. The owners Tom and Sue welcomed us and showed us the cabin, gave us useful advise and let us know to contact them if we needed anything. For me, this is a peace of mind knowing the owners are a quick phone call away. They are good, lovely people. The cabin is spotless clean with a fun, homey, upscale rustic decor. The whole family loved the home-baked cookies provided at check-in...yum! We loved having Starbucks coffee provided for and a huge cookie jar full of biscotti- double Yum! The kitchen cabinets were full of any and all pots, pans, utencil, spices, etc -- better stocked than my own kitchen. My 6 year old daughter loved all the reading books, board games, stuffed animals and toys provided in the loft area and my 13 year son loved the huge bedroom and closet upstairs. He was so excited he even unpacked and hung his own clothes without being asked- I was in shock. I loved the view from the kitchen and the wrap around porch with the rockers. Very peaceful and beautiful. My only regret is leaving so soon. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this property to your family. It is a sure bet. We cannot wait to go back. We loved it and so will your family. Pick this one, your family will thank you.

This was our second time staying at Creek 'n Woods 3 and it was wonderful. The view of leaves changing from the location of the house was stunning. Relaxing, very secure neighborhood with the sounds of the waterfall making sleeping so nice. Tome and Sue are great host who want your stay to be amazing and go out of their way to make everything perfect. We will definitely stay there again next October.

This is a perfectly maintained cabin in the heart of the Maggie Valley-Waynesville area. It is close to everything, but well secluded. So, you can really relax without any concern about being bothered by close neighbors. We found everything to be exactly as described in the TripAdvisor listing. The owners obviously take pride in their property, and in offering a great mountain experience. Finally-and really important-the cabin was absolutely spotless. We enjoyed our stay.

Tranquil retreat in the woods

"Creek n' the Woods III" was a cabin with every accommodation imaginable. The owners even provided homemade cookies and Starbucks coffee. These were much appreciated since we are avid coffee drinkers and have a sweet tooth! Tom greeted us and gave a tour of the cabin and all instructions so that we felt right at home the moment we stepped inside. The property is immacuately clean, working hot tub and a nice little manmade waterfall next to hot tub. We did not cook our meals there, but if one did, they should first check out the cupboards and fridge for stocked items before you go to store! There are lots of staples! We are looking forward to staying here again or at one of the other "Creek n' the Woods" cabins. Thank you, Tom and Sue, for your attention to every detail. Oh! and thank you Tom for calling us before we left Maggie Valley about the highway traffic jam that we would have gotten stuck in, but you suggested an alternate route and we were able to get around the traffic just fine! Wonderful service, shows how they care about their guests. Don's miss the chance to stay here

Tom and Sue were very helpful at all stages of the rental and provided great information about what to do in the area. Would definitely rent from them again if returning to western North Carolina.

We had the pleasure of staying three weeks in Creek 'N Woods 3 and enjoyed every second. The cabin is located short distances from all the water falls, Blue Ridge Parkway and the Cataloochee areas we had to visit. The house is well equipped, comfortable and very quiet. Tom and Sue just might be the best host we have ever encountered with suggestions for must see spots to any need that might arise to make your stay perfect. Our Grand kids came for short stays and both the hot tub and water falls next to the house just captured their attention. It was a beautiful experience for them. I cannot state enough how much we enjoyed our stay and will be back very soon to watch the leaves change.

Tom and Sue have 4 cabins in the area. We stayed in #3 and it was great. The cabin is wonderfully furnished with everything you could need. All you need to bring are your clothes, toile tress and a little food. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, flour, sugar, spices, condiments and dishes. Both bathrooms had hairdryers and extra items that people left behind, i.e tampons, body wash, hairspray, disposable razors. The cabin has a great wrap around porch and hot tub, which the kids and adults both loved!! It is also in a great location, not far from Asheville if you want to visit the Biltmore or the city life and close to the Smokies if you want to see the elk and get "lost" in the woods. We are already planning a trip for the fall!!! The Stokes Family

I cannot rave enough about Tom and Sue, their cottage, and the tranquility of our visit. From the time of our booking the communication was always perfect. They met us and guided us to the cottage and showed us everything we needed to know. The house was immaculate! Clean clean clean. Well stocked of all necessities and the privacy was much appreciated. Tom and Sue took time out after we invited them for coffee and we exchanged stories of life, the area, and they helped us plan our stay of what to expect. Never got a chance to use the hot tub since we were always out and about but it was there already heated up when we got there. Overall I couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay!!!!!

We rented the cabin during spring break. The owners Tom & Sue put so much love and care into their cabin, we were just so impressed. We were also greeted by homemade cookies which was such a sweet gesture. The cabin was well stocked with dishes, kitchen equipment, towels, and simply everything you would need during your stay. Our teenagers enjoyed the ski slopes at the Cataloochee Ski Resort. It is a smaller resort but perfect for beginners. We also took a trip to ashville and visited the Biltmore Estate - a must see while in this area. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing time at the cabin and can recommend it to everyone. We will give the cabin a 5 star rating. Thank you, Roger & Sandra from Tampa, FL

Creek 'n' Woods is an amazing cabin! This cabin exceeded all expectations we had by far!!! There wasn't a need we had that wasn't taken care of by the owners of this cabin waaay before we got there. Besides our food and drinks for this trip, everything we could think of was already in this cabin. The owners Tom and Sue are exceptional!!! This was a girls weekend getaway and we were 100% satisfied with our choice for this cabin. The owners have thought of practically everything we needed or didn't need but had just in case and we felt like we were at home not some rental property or hotel. It was so nice to have a cabin that felt so homey and comfortable and safe. We will be back and we highly recommend this cabin for any and all visiting the Maggie Valley area! Thank you to the owners for everything and especially for making us feel so comfortable on our getaway.

Thanks to Tom and Sue we experienced a most fabulous birthday celebration in this beautifully decorated cabin! The wrap around porch allowed us peaceful scenes as we sipped our coffee while sitting in rocking chairs. The Rhododendron flowers which were in full dazzling bloom and gave us such joy to view. The cabin was spacious and in neat repair, in good order and in a glorious setting giving it a comfortable home-like atmosphere. The kitchen had any appliance one might need to cook, if one is so inclined. The bed was comfy as well. The only thing I did not care about was being asked to strip the bed, take out the trash and to put a load of towels in the washer, seeing I had paid a hefty cleaning fee and it was my vacation. Yet, I still say thanks for the birthday cake and making our stay most memorable. Julie and David

I stayed at cabin III by myself for some much needed time to just be alone and fill back up my very empty cup. It was just what I needed. The owners had a woman meet me and guide me right up to the cabin. Everything from the wrap around porch to the fireplaces, hot tub facing a waterfall, and the surrounding woods was so beautiful. The beds were so comfortable with cozy quilts and they had even baked me homemade chocolate chip cookies. I soaked up the warmth of the atmosphere, the loving decorative touches, and a feeling of being alone but safe and knowing any needs would be taken care of with just a quick phone call. I'll definately be coming back! Highly recommend it!

We absolutely loved our stay at Creek 'n Woods. The cabin was such a charming retreat and we were so happy to spend our anniversary there. The hot tub was also great.

Second time visit to Creek 'n Woods III

Left on Feb 28, 2013 for a stay in Feb 2013
For the second year in a row we chose to visit Maggie Valley and stay at the Creek 'n Woods III. Last year we had an amazing time snowboarding and enjoying the mountains so we had to come back. Tom and Sue provide a wonderful place to stay with true hospitality. They met us in the valley and drove us up the mountain to the cabin, taking the guesswork out of getting up the mountain. Each time they walked us through the cabin and all the bells and whistles, making sure we knew where everything was and how it all worked. I can't say enough about the quality of the service they provides. Wonderful people with a beautiful cabin. Don't hesitate to get in touch with them!

My friends and I stayed here for my birthday. From day one when I first contacted the Knapko's they were super friendly and very eager to help whenever I had questions or concerns. The cabin was very reasonably priced and very clean. We spent our days snowboarding at nearby Catalooche. We did not have a lengthy stay, but enjoyed every minute and would definitely recommend to friends!

Wonderful alternative to Creek n' Woods II

Twice a year, for 7+ yrs now, I and my friends have been enjoying the Crk n' Wds II cabin for long wkend getaways. Leaving the hustle & bustle of atlanta, Ga, for the peace and quiet of the Maggie Valley, NC area. The wkend of our recent Fall trip, II was booked and we decided to try III. We weren't disappointed. Same excellent accommodations as we were used to at II. And what a view from any spot on the wrapping porch. Liked it so much, we're coming back to III in the Spring, 2013. The care and attention to detail we receive from the Knapko's is 2nd to none. We feel more like family. If there is something we need, to say prepare a meal, and we can't find it in the cabin (which has been rare), we know we can give the Knapko's a quick call, and if they have it, they'll deliver it to us. What more can one ask for. I highly recommend a stay with Creek n' Woods. You won't regret it!

It was beautiful, relaxing, fun, and private.

6 of us "older" girls stayed for 4 nights and we had a wonderful time. The cabin was extremely nice, clean, well-equipped. I couldn't believe there was so much grocery items there. Obvioulsy, the tenants have a "pay it forward" mind set. Rather than taking some items home or throwing them away, they leave them for the next ones. As nice and clean as the facility was, we weren't dubious about using anything that was left. The price of the cabin is very reasonable. There were plenty of bed linens, towels, paper goods, etc. The cabin sits up on the side of a mountain and is not really close to any other cabins. We could use the wonderful hot tub without feeling we were being spied on. (At our age, we are shy). Having to go upstairs to 2 of the bedrooms was a little disconcerting, but we let the two older girls have the downstairs bedroom. The leaves were absolutely beautiful. We went over to Cherokee to the casino and over to ashville for the Biltmore Estates, and over to Waynesville for unique shopping. All were in easy distance. Would definitely recommend this area and this particular cabin to anyone, including families with kids. A raccoon visited us on the deck each morning. We kept our distance, but really enjoyed watching him. (We learned not to leave trash bags outside). Tom and Sue are wonderful to work with. They are so naturally friendly and helpful.

We have stayed several nights in the Creek'n Woods III for the last two years in July. This place is too wonderful to describe. It is on top the mountain, wrap around porch with waterfall, gacuzzi, gas grill, rocking chairs. We enjoyed so much sitting on the porch. The house has a gas fireplace and is so nice and relaxing. We have never rented from anyone as nice and hospitable as Tom and Sue Knapko. They go the extra mile to make sure your vacation is wonderful. You feel at home the time you enter the house. You find homemade chocolate chip cookies, jelly, Starbucks coffee.etc. We will definately return to Creek n Woods again and again. Thanks Tom and Sue for another experience of a lifetime. You're the greatest!! The Kikers, The Drakes, and the Helms

My family and I come to Maggie every summer for a family reunion. This year we decided to rent a cabin instead of staying with my relatives.I love them all but this was much better. We got to relax more and I know it was much easier on them. I will come back every year and stay at this cabin. Tom and Sue made sure everything you could possibly need was there

We went to the cabin expecting something special and we really were happy when we arrived. The cabin was so clean and inviting that anyone would enjoy a stay there. Our hosts, the Knapkos, greeted us when we arrived and showed around the place. It was beautiful and very comfortable. We stayed 4 days with our best friends and enjoyed every minute there. If you want a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature while only being minutes away from many fun things to do...please go to Creek 'N Woods III.

Upon arrival, we were greeted like family and shown all the features of the house. Prior to our arrival, we were told that all we needed to bring were a few groceries and our clothes, I thought there is no way, surely I misunderstood. However, they were right! There are games, Dvd's, books, washing powders, spices, hot tub towels, cable TV in all rooms, wireless internet and even homemade cookies in the cookie jar. We felt like we were visiting family for the weekend. The hot tub, waterfall and fireplace made for a nice evening after a day at the ski slopes. Tom and Sue made sure that we had the best weekend ever. They even filled our special request for "snow!" We can't say enough about our visit, other than we are ready to plan our next trip. We highly recommend Creek n Woods and you will too!. Thanks tom and sue!

Been to many vacation homes but none can compare to this. The home is in mint condition and decorated to perfection The view is outrages and hot tub, firepace etc. just add to the fun. Sue and Tom make you feel like family the minute you meet them. The day you arrive they have homemade cookies, Starbuck coffee and wine as a welcome. We will be repeat guests maybe trying different seasons. Certainly telling our friends.

This cabin was very well stocked with supplies that you do not usually see in rental cabins. For example the remote stopped working but they made sure to have extra batteries on hand. It is a very nice cabin in a great location. Tom and Sue are very friendly and accomodating. They even met us in town when we arrived to show us exactly where the cabin was located. They seemed to think of pretty much everything. We will definitely come back.

We have stayed here numerous times and will go back again. The Knapkos make it so easy. They add a personal touch that is so rare in today's world. The house is very comfortable, always clean, and is stocked with all essentials needed for a weekend (or longer) away. The location has easy accessibility and there a number of good places to eat and shop nearby. We enjoyed The Garlic Knots (pizza) and as always, J. Arthur's (steaks)which are both in Maggie Valley. Waynesville is minutes away and offers the Sweet Onion Restaurant, a mall, and any other sevices needed.

The cabin was beautiful and well kept. Everything we needed was already there. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of Tom and Sue in making our stay awesome. We will be sure to rent from them again in the future for another Sister's Weekend. Thanks so much for making us feel special. The cookies were wonderful.

We had a very beautiful and peaceful stay at this location. Driving up the road to the cottage is a little scary at times but otherwise everything was great. The view from the porch and any window was beautiful any time of the day or night. The cottage was very nice and very comfortable with a super-well-stocked kitchen. Would recommend for any group. We had 5 people but 7-8 would have been comfortable as well.

It takes your breath away.

One word was repeated over and over from the time we met Tom & Sue to lead us up to Creek N Woods III till the time we left was "wow!!!" We felt like royalty as we walked through the home! A King size bed room, a queen sized bed room and two twin beds made our stay absolutely fabulous! Everyone loved the huge living room, the big porch, hot tub and chocolate chip cookies in the cookie jar!!! The location was fabulous as it was only minutes to the main road and approximately 30 minutes from asheville, NC and the Biltmore! Our family loved every part of the home and our stay! I promise you - you will not be disappointed if you rent this home!

We stayed in the Creek n Cabin III on our family vacation with our daughter, son-in-las and 3 grandchildren. With ages ranging from 6-64 Tom became our vacation planner providing ideas for activities for everyone. The cabin was perfect for the 7 of us. Tom & Sue made us feel so welcome and had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies which delighted the grandkids. We will return again with our son and his family next year!

An unforgetable vacation.

After staying in one of your other cabins I unknowinly thought that it couldn't get any better. Not only was I wrong but I was blown away by your beautiful cabin and amazingly serene location. It was only made better by your hospitality. The fresh baked cookies for the kids, bottle of wine for the parents and the homemade peach jam for all was a heart felt touch. We spent most of our time sitting by the waterfall outside on the porch when we weren't in town conquering new adventures. I was surprised at how much there was to do in the area. We ran out of time before I'd reached the middle of my list. Which only means we will be back to enjoy your "tree house". Every detail in this cabin was thought of complete with fully stocked kitchen and your hard work was truly appreciated. God willing we'll see you in the winter. Your cabins have quickly become our home away from home.

This is the best service we have ever received while vacationing. The Knapko's were the nicest people we have ever rented from.He kept in contact with us from the day that we viewed the cabin, until the time that we arrived for our stay, and than after we returned home. His hospitality was great. The cabin is gorgeous, and very clean. The amenities were super. We had everything we needed, just to walk in enjoy. We loved everything about the vacation. We will definately vacation with them again.(and real soon)We have certainly never experienced a more enjoyable vacation, or a more hospitable person to rent from than the Knapko's. There was cookies and wine waiting for us when we arrived. The only thing that wasn't perfect about this vacation is that it was just too Short1..We traveled with 4 other adults.Everyone loved the cabin, the porches, the waterfall, the jacuzzi, the location and the great friendly service that we received.

Just a very relaxing get away for couples or family. There was something for every age, games, movies. And the sound of the water fall was wonderful. We had a wonderful time in the beautiful house with hot tub and waterfall. The massage therapist came to us and we had massages on the back deck over looking the mountains and listen to the waterfall. Sue and Tom were incredible host. Our son just graduated from graduate school and was moving away so we did this family trip with our kids, their girlfriend and boyfriend and my parents. We had an amazing time. The home was very comfortable. We played cards on the wonderful deck, had a few cook outs and recuperated with a glass of wine and the hot tub. Could not get better than that. The house had all the little extras. We went hiking, white water rafting and tubing. Great vacation spot. We hope to do it again someday.

Fall in Maggie Valley

My husband and I spent our 39th anniversary at Creek 'n Woods III last October. We wanted to experience the beauty of the mountains in the fall. Sue met us in the valley and drove us up the mountain to the house. She informed us they called # III "the chicken house" due to its cute decor. The pictures don't do it justice. The wrap around porch with rockers and tables let us spend time outside just enjoying the sun rising over the mountain. The hot tub and man made waterfall were so relaxing. The kitchen was completely stocked with lots of staples and every pot, pan or dish imaginable. Sue had made us some wonderful chocolate chip cookies to welcome us. The house was very clean and supplied with everything you could possibly need. It is a lovely cabin with a "home feeling". We only used the bottom floor since it was just the two of us, but there is plenty of room upstairs for a larger family. We spent the days exploring the beautiful mountains and in the evening we loved coming back to "roost" in the chicken house. When we return to Maggie Valley we will certainly be calling Tom and Sue at Creek 'n Woods.

Lovely Thanksgiving with Family

The Knapko's met us at a gas station so that we could follow them to the cabin. They were a very nice couple. They showed us around the cabin, told us we're welcome to use what's there (including food), showed us how to operate the awesome hot tub on the deck, and made sure we were comfortable with everything before we left. They left us a cookie jar full of homemade chocolate chip cookies that were to die for! We were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner there without bringing our entire kitchen with us... they even had a roaster. Bring stuff to make waffles because they have a great waffle maker. The only drawbacks are: The location is kind of boring... not a lot to do although Cherokee is not far away. The chairs in the living room are not comfortable and you end up sliding down the entire time you're sitting in them.

The cookies, wine and biscotti that were provided were much appreciated as well. Tom and Sue are gracious hosts and made us feel welocme. It was a convenient distance from Catalochee ski area. Sue and Tom could not have been more gracious in meeting us and showing us where everything was located in the home to the chocolate chip cookies, Starbucks coffee and biscotti they provided. My 9 year old loved ending the evenings in the hot tub listening to the waterfall. The house is so comfortable and has everything you need. The location is great and close to many area attractions. After a busy day of sightseeing and doing things, Creek n Woods III was a great place to call home for a few days.

So glad we found this great cabin in the woods, on a beautiful hillside. It's a short drive to the Blue Ridge parkway, hiking trails to the west, and Waynesville to the east. We were able to get our fix of the outdoors and shopping. The Biltmore Estate was about a 40 minute drive. The cabin was very clean, well equipped, comfortable (the furniture wasn't worn out!!) The hot tub was a nice touch and we were even able to enjoy a meal outside on the porch. The Knapko's were very hospitable. This was definitely the nicest "cabin" we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot over the years. We will definitely stay here again next time we are down in this area.
