This was the best mini vacation my husband and I took in a long time . We are both retired and love to get away sometimes for a few days . Loved our stay

“Will return:)”

Really enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing and inviting accommodations! Couldn't have asked for anything more. The owner is very kind and has covered all the bases. We will definitely be returning as we didn't get to fish for trout yet. Honestly it is so much better staying here than any hotel. Thank you Ginny for a home away for home!!!!

“Perfect place to unwind!!!”

A cozy, homey cottage. Everything you could think of is supplied - screened porch, side porch and balcony. There is wood for the fireplace and a full kitchen. The stream across the backyard even has a "secret bench". Sounds of nature are everywhere. Birds singing wake you in the morning. We came to get away from busy New Orleans. We thought we would get out and hike but we just wanted to stay in. It rained the second day and we just had a long breakfast and enjoyed the warm couch. It is close to restaurants but the local fruit stands make you want to just cook in the full kitchen. We went across the mountains to visit Gatlinburg and could not wait to get back to the cabin. It was like staying in a friend's mountain home. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away and just enjoy piece and quiet.

“Red Rooster House”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2011

Centrally located in Maggie Valley, the Red Rooster House is beautifully decorated and very inviting. The home has everything you need to make it a home away from home. You can tell that the owners Chet & Ginny remodeled and decorated this home with a lot of love and care. I would go back and rent this home whenever we want to go back up to that area. The leaves were breath taking, and the prettiest I think I have seen in that part of the USA. We loved being there, and did not eat out much because it is so easy to be in this home. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cottage with us. We had a great visit!!

The cabin was adorable, super charming and there is plenty of room. (loved the decor). Lots to do (close to cabin), my husband and I went hiking through several National Parks, saw bears, deer and elk. (awesome) Beauty is everywhere, the mountains and creeks are breathtaking. We also enjoyed just hanging at the cabin and grilling out. We will be going back.

“A vacation dream come true”

We rented the Red Rooster house from the end of October until 11/3/08 - and it was a delight!!! It is like a dollhouse to see, so artfully decorated and with all the conveniences that one could ask for, and set in a beautiful location so you could sit anywhere and look out over the mountains, and watch the birds flutter past and the squirrels play chase with eachother in the falling leaves. Directions were well written, simple to follow, every kind of comfort was provided for, even down to plenty of firewood, matches, and candles for ambiance!!!! Convenient location, affordable price, all the comforts - who could ask for more? Come see and enjoy it for yourself!! Ginny Norman

Your home was so warm and inviting! My favorite is sitting outside on the deck with a big fire, and enjoying a glass of wine. The area is so peacefull and quiet. We'll be back! Colleen, Florida
